Isso ocorre porque temos muitos hábitos de pronúncia na leitura semelhantes, como por exemplo: The restaurant: os norte-americanos pronunciam: dê restauran. Enquanto isso, nós pronunciamos o T, igualmente aos eslavos.

  • This was super-helpful, thank you! I do voice acting on my comedy channel and needed to do a Russian accent for a video about Ukraine actually, and your video along with one or two others really helped me to nail the accent. Best wishes to anybody from, or in, Ukraine at the moment.

  • The struggle is real, for years I had countless, pointless arguments with my fellow Russian colleague not because we were against each other, rather the lack of understanding of one another. It never crossed my mind that something that simple was the root of all arguments until one fine day, we both sat down over a coffee table and I start asking why he was such a pain to deal with, and he shared with me that he felt the same about me. Who could have thought that the culprit is the way we interpret English language, despite being the only language we both depend on to communicate. I get him to teach me what he knows about English language while I shared everything that made me who I become back then. Voila! Problem solved. It was a great lesson, and I am grateful for his sharing. Be kind to one another, ask if uncertain, assuming things never help.

  • I'm trying to get a more authentic accent for a voice role I'm doing in a role playing game and this really helped! Thank you! 💖 I'll practice more and get better, but this is one step closer to starting my journey to learning the language. Once I nail the accent I think it will be much easier to pick up the language and not sound like an American

  • what about when you say "than that" is it pronounced "zan zat?" or "dan zat?" i noticed some russians say "th = z" but I have seen some say that "th = d" so not sure why that is, if its different parts of russia with different accents or if its certain words that the th has a d or dh sound and others have a z or zh sound.

  • Learning other languages is always difficult. With English we have many words which sound the exact same but have different meanings and even similar spelling, For example : Bear or bare. Could mean an animal or naked or to carry a heavy burden or load. I tried to learn some Ukrainian a long time ago when I went to Slovakia to visit my relatives as it is a Slavic language. Sadly if you don't use it you lose it and I lost it and having to speak one word at a time is difficult and frustrating and hard for others to understand. If I remember it correctly we say : How are you doing and in Ukrainian it sounds like " How be it's with you" literally. Not every language has a literal step by step word translation. There is the fact that some Ukrainian in Canada is a watered down version with bits of English and Polish and German etc mixed in depending on who your neighbors were when growing up on a farm.. My Dad calls it barnyard Ukrainian and can hardly understand people speaking pure Ukrainian.
