  • As a proud Canadian that sounds just like an American, I’m so happy that you distinguished between a few different dialects. I didn’t know you were Canadian and when I saw that you were going to do accents I thought, ‘Here we go, she’s going to do the stereotypical “Canadian” accent of which, no one I know or ever met in any province I’ve been to in Canada actually sounds like.’ But I was delighted that you presented a few different ones eh? Ya, we do say eh a lot. And we are overly polite. I think they are related as we make a statement then politely add the eh to make it a question that is up for debate or input. Polite eh?

    @cathysnider8717@cathysnider871711 ай бұрын
    • Also as a Canadian, when we do put eh at the end, it does make it like a question but it is a quite polite way to say things. And very well put together.

We had a small handful of dialects for Irish, but as the country was taken over at different rates, they developed accents differently. Then add in the rural to urban shift and your left with a couple hundred different accents.

  • Great job Kris! In a previous life I worked with the Canadian Forces where I first learned about the Newfies. They are a trip and freaking awesome! One of the things I learned was that rather than saying the typical "eh," the say "wha." As in if something tastes good, "That's some good, wha." As a native Texan, we have much in common with the Newfies in terms of our fierce independence.

  • Fun video as always ! It's been two years , but have you ever tried to do Scouse, Geordie or Cockney accent? I'd love to see you try those as well.

    • I’m French Canadian haha although I am fluid and don’t have an accent, I’ve heard similar people but the accent of a real Quebecer is a lot different. It’s incredibly strong lol 😂

  • "Its 45 degree" Relatable, as a Pakistani it won't be surprising when the temperature is 45 degree at the "it feels like" is 49 degree.
