  • I cant express how necessary the 2nd pt of this song was. It was moving, a phenomenally crashing wave of emotions that could not have been composed better. The first part was great, and its also a fantastic contribution to this whole song in general because its a story invoking a feeling that leads to this shift, this freedom, release, of all that had been internally concluded. You know? The whole beginning is a build up. Every line and chord. The best part of that is that it left us all completely speechless and moved. This is her moment, I don't think that in regards to any Grammy or popularity. This is her moment, I think to tell this story in a way that has never been heard from her before, standing her ground, letting it out. In the end, amongst the distortion you can hear her screams and that just amplified and made it all hit different. Gosh I'm prattling but you know what I mean!! lol

She’s had difficulty filming submerged before because it truly freaks her out, more than having spiders in her mouth and other crazy shit like that. • My band covered this song at our prom, and I can confirm that it’s SO FUN TO PLAY AND SING (I’m lead vocals, but I played acoustic guitar for the first half and didn’t sing till the electric came in.) And, you don’t exactly focus on it at first, but there are bends in the guitar that start at “I don’t relate to you” and those are SO satisfying to hear played in person. Also Finneas went crazy and added SIX GUITARS… we only have two electric guitarists so one basically merged two tabs into one, and the other did the intricate bends and riffs

  • The first time I heard her and Finneas perform this song was on Jimmy Fallon's show I nearly fell out of my chair... I had to watch it over and over and every time I got just as excited at the beat change. She said she could whale when everyone kept saying she whispered too much and now this proves how powerful her voice really is. The best song she and Finneas wrote.

  • I love how she did this song. Just when your like "ok this is just repeating itself and getting kinda boring" bamm she switches to this really cool rock song that most people can relate to at some point in their life's.

  • When she says I’d never treat me this shitty it always gives me shivers and goosebumps bc I do indeed treat myself that shitty and I’ve been on my healing journey for a few months and it’s like I don’t ever wanna treat myself that shitty again. This song is and will forever be so beautiful to me.

  • This was my exact reaction when I heard this song for the first time a couple of days ago and I was like what why didn't I hear this sooner this song is freaking incredible gave me goosebumps from beginning to end. My daughter is a fan of hers but she listens to her music with headphones on and I felt robbed that she didn't share this with me, now I run around the house singing it while she looks at me like I'm weird. Lol
