Many people haven’t even had their first job by 18, but Chase Lille has already owned his business for more than a year. In this interview, we’ll find out how this teenage entrepreneur started his pressure washing business with $3,000 and grew it to a revenue of $12,000 per month with 50% to 60% margins.
Learn how to start your own cleaning business with Chris: bit.ly/cleaning-course
Mentorship was a big part of how Chase started a profitable business at such a young age. When he was still in high school, he found a mentor in a competing power washing business owner near his hometown. That experience gave him the skills and knowledge he needed to branch out on his own. Now, he’s attending college part-time while running his business full-time.
Chase’s goal is to grow his team to 20 people by 2026, and he’ll be buying a second truck soon to build toward this aim. We’ll learn what else Chase is doing to achieve this objective and how he’s keeping track of his progress.
Just starting a business is a big challenge for many, and Chase was no exception. He had to overcome his fears and try things that made him uncomfortable to get his business up and running. He’ll share his advice for dealing with fear and uncertainty as a business owner. We’ll also find out what mistakes and failures he’s encountered thus far, and how those experiences have helped him grow.
Anyone in the pressure washing or cleaning industry who wants to start or grow a business will learn a lot from this video! And make sure to check out our past interviews with pressure washing business owners:

  • One thing that wasn't discussed was it seems he's servicing a very high income area? People with lots of disposable income. If someone tried to run the same business in a middle-lower class neighborhood the results might not be great.

  • I love it! He's a marketing genius! The name, the colours and marketing style. Most people start a business the same ol professional looking, but he went against the status quo with the light hearted image. The brand is much more recognisable and they'll remember him as the purple wizard guy even if they don't remember the business name. 👌 I've been tossing the idea of a similar concept for awhile but kept kicking myself back by saying it might not be professional, but now I've been inspired.

  • Chase, you are truly inspirational. 18 and you are on fire. You are not just chopping wood. You are cutting a forest down. I started a cleaning business many years ago. I had a tank of fuel in my vehicle and hired a carpet machine for my first 3 jobs. Then bought a small machine. Some months later bought a medium machine. 8 years later I was burnt out. Went back to wages. If one has no experience, start on wages, get some experience. Then go on your own as I did. Good luck Chase. Upflip love your chanell.

The logo might have been a couple hundred dollars with a deal but the ramp itself was much more and that looks like a really nice truck. I had enough money right now to buy buy a Craftsman 2.4 GPM pressure washer and I'm about to pick up a surface cleaner. For now, unless I get a better idea thrown at me, I'll probably end up renting a truck for the days that I have jobs I would love to hear any feedback however. Thank you for the great resource!

  • Great job chase. I started last year January 6 2022 pretty much a similar story like you but I’m not age 18 I’m more like 33 😅 made like 220k and I was mind blown because my goal was to at least make 60-80k and I went passed that when I added like 10 services to my company. Now I’m at 70k for the year atm slow month just like last year but I’m aiming to at least hit 300k this year with god on my side of course because he’s been a blessing my whole journey. Specially since I come from a very poor family. This has changed my life forever. Glad to see people with a similar story on KZhead. It’s like watching myself on KZhead. Hope you reach your goals dude much blessings.

  • From someone on the outside looking in at pressure washing. I think a good idea is to get 1-2 A-frames to set up on the side walk while you are at a site for hours marketing you business. I see a lot of restaurants do that in front of their store. I think it would be a good idea for this business. Whatcha think?

  • Ok. I loved everything from start to finish. (From Florida - Miami) The ENTIRE TIME I couldn't stop thinking how silly the name and logo is. It's not bad It's the definition of youthful or young boss (I'm 25 so I'm both young and old on the dot and a part of me loves it and the other part doesn't hate it but thinks it's not serious or... Silly) [like a wizard coming to my home blasting water] I want to say that a name /branding alone can carry sales. You hear "apple" and either the fruit or tech product you're in for a treat. {Ba-da-bing} As basic as it sounds and anyone can steal this (we're all helping each other out just trying to make it in life.) But I would put "perfect washing" And I'd tell people id give a discount of whatever if they rate me 5 stars and Refer me to a friend. Good luck to my future brothers and sisters trying to change their lives for the better.

  • This is my 3rd year doing what Chase does and I'm not at his level. Though business is booming. I'm almost 40 though so it's tougher on my body. Would love to be young again. I'm looking to expand this year to get off the truck. I can't do what chase does anymore (even though I am.) That is, cleaning and answering the phones and still having a bunch of positive energy. I could have 200% with some to spare at his age but not anymore sadly. It took this business to realize it. Congrats Chase on a job well done getting there so fast. I'm going to have to hire someone just to catch up to you young man. Inspiring honestly.

    • Bro 12k a month isn't high level. I started a window cleaning business and was making $30k /mo revenue and $20k / mo for myself after one month. Go knock doors lol

      @MrGoodeats@MrGoodeatsАй бұрын
    • @@MrGoodeats It's not high level but it's not bad either. 500 a day with weekends off. Also, location matters. I'd be curious where you live. My sweat spot is 12cent a sf. I've tried higher but I lose too many sales. I live in an area where the income isn't super high but people do well. I know in some other states they charge 20cent a sf and people pay it all day. Obviously that's going to cause a big revenue gap on paper but I guarantee my cost of living is much lower so it's all relative. I also didn't start my business to get rich. I started it to be my own boss. I can get all my bills paid with only 2 weeks of work. I'm more than happy with that. It's not always about the money. Money doesn't motivate me. If I have to chose between knocking on doors or relaxing after the bills are paid, I chose relaxing. Will that allow my business to grow and be able to hire employees? Well, no. But I'm content. I'm about to start pushing harder though to increase the revenue. Not to be rich but mainly to be able to start hiring employees and get off the truck. If I make a lot of money in the process of expanding than good for me, but money isn't the goal. I live a very simple life.

    • @@chuckgood3972 I am in DFW and only knock in high end areas. I also never price by window or sq ft. I literally go door to door and charge them as high as I think they'll pay. Yeah my cost of living is very high haha but also I did that on purpose to force me to work. Sorry if I came off rude it just blows my mind how negative and how much self doubt is expressed in all these comments. I also come from a sales background and am use to making $30-40k per month so I guess it's different. This is much more meaningful to me

  • Just started this week. Been doing a bunch of free jobs to get my name out. Been less than a week and scored my first job. Took me 4 hours for $75 so i took a loss but its okay. I then got another job for $40. Took me 40 mins funny enough. And i got another today for $400. Im 20 and i work for pest control since i turned 19. My bosses love me and have been mentoring me. Im excited to start this up. Having mentors and already being in a service business has helped me alot. Took alot of inspiration from this video. Cant wait to see what happens next
