Hey! Millipede enthusiast here, recently they actually found a millipede in a gold mine in Australian that has 330 body segments that’s 1,306 legs! It’s got a cone shaped head and a beak. It’s pretty cool! So now we have a millipede that actually lives up to its name!

@kitten :3 i donno but all I remember was i was sleeping on the floor while my parents werent around(floor was cold and comfy), and then I felt a tickle in my face i thought i was my cat's tail but low and behold when i opened my eyes it was a 10 inch centipede... half of its body on top of my glasses and the other half bent down towards my mouth and its tail somehow found its way to my nostril, i didnt move for a horrifying 13-15 seconds before i rattled and screamed in fear till i mentally blacked out out of panic, after that i dont remember anything... the last thing i saw when i conscious in my panic was i remember it crawled ontop on my eye lids...

Never would've figured the millipedes' poisonous secretion would be that easy to deal with. Back when I was a kid, I was taught that secretion was cyanide, one of the deadliest poisons on the planet. While Millipedes are safer in comparison to Centipedes, the fact that they can secrete one of the deadliest poisons isn't something to scoff at

I live in Florida, we have both millipedes and centipedes. I watched this great video to find out the difference between the two. It's interesting that before watching this video, when I find a millipede in my house I have no problem picking it up as it rolls itself into a circle, but when I find a centipede I am fearful of handling it; like a natural aversion.
