0... It doesn't have a bumper-to-bumper unlimited mileage warranty lol
All LEXUS vehicles are reliable. 1999 LX still rides like dreams. 1998 LS still rides solidly like a bank vault.

Yeah Kilmer score, only score I worry about.
Great video, very detailed and unlike alot of other reviews of this car the audio is great and the review itself is presented well
For anyone wondering about reliability, I’ve owned one for 5 months and here’s my experience. I bought an 08 gs350 rwd with 114k for $10,000. Car now has 125k 5 months later. I wouldn’t quite say the car is bulletproof, but it damn near close to it overall. I had my alternator and my water pump go out within the same month. However, i was able to repair both of those issues without taking it to a shop with relative ease. It’s worth noting that I’m not really into mechanical work and I still was able to get the jobs done. But yeah, had mine for 5 months and absolutely no significant issues whatsoever. Drive like a dream and girls love my car
That is bulletproof. Water pumps, Alternator, Radiator, Battery, Starter, Spark Plugs and Tires is called normal maintenance. Now if you run into electrical problems or call shutting off while driving then thats not bulletproof. Facts
Around 100k is normal water pump maintinence scheduling if I recall correctly.
Still good?
@@rikiishitoru8885 still good. Got 235,000 miles on it now. Best car I ever owned

I remember getting this car as a loaner a few times when i dropped off my RX. It was a really nice and smooth FAST CAR. very quick
Looking to buy one now. It's definitely in my budget and the car is still absolutely gorgeous... Even today in 2020

@@Shawn-eq8zw Agreed, bulletproof for me
Shawn6466 would you risk4k on one with no maintenance paperwork but checks out otherwise withmechanic etc ?
I got me one. Best investment ever.
I am currently having 2005 es330, but I want to sale it and go for this machine.
Just bought a 09 awd/Navi with 180k for $5800. Black on black. No issues at all. Put about $300 into it for routine maintenance (oil change, new air and oil filter, engine flush and brake fluid flush). Drives perfect! Only think I miss is the ML sound system but I will live!
I don't think the squares on the bumpers are sensors. I think they are the removable panels to access the tow hooks. Great review! The fact that the power window shades still work tells you a lot about Lexus' quality. Oh and the mirror on the sun visor is called a vanity mirror 😉
I’m gettting a 07 gs 350 rwd it’s gonna be lit...nice video man keep it up

You mentioned those two little squares on the back being sensors... They might be Tow Points, where you pop off the little plastic square and screw in a metal thing that can be used as a tow hook
Thank you KeeCar for this very comprehensive review. I am looking at one of these to buy. Can't make my mind up between this and a Honda Legend AWD. I love the fact these still had a cassette player in them. Greetings from the UK. Your accent is cool btw. :-))
Aha, it looks like the Honda Legend AWD is the Acura RL over in the states. I test drove an Acura RL before buying the Lexus. It has a sportier feel than the Lexus and the AWD will help if you live in an area where it snows. There is also a GS350 AWD you could check out as well. Of course I will recommend the GS350 but I'd test drive both and check the owner forums for the model year you are looking at before purchasing. This is one of the reasons I started this channel! Out of all the range of models that Lexus has, the gs has been my favorite model because of its handsome styling that won't go out of date for many more years. The only issue with all Lexus is that the plastic cover of the headlights become discolored and dull in no time.

Does anyone make a supercharger kit for this model? Are there any decent performance mods worth doing to the gs350 of this generation?
I was actually looking around yesterday. RR-Racing has a supercharger kit for this gen of GS350s and IS350s. They have an IS350 with one that is at 450WHP. It's a rather expensive kit, $6600. I haven't seen many supercharged GS's out there, I wonder if it would be tough if there are any issues since there isn't a supercharged GS community. Anyhoo here's the link: www.rr-racing.com/RR-Racing-RR470-Supercharger-Kit-for-Lexus-IS3XX-p/isxscr2002.htm

I just bought a 2006 gs430 a few days ago... Could not be any happier with it. Love the V8 on it, and gas isn't too bad. Coming from an 01 Solara, this is sweet.
Regular or Premium gas and how's the ride quality????
@@mercedesbenzs600bash I've done premium only, as the gas cap recommends, read up on people's experiences trying regular and it didn't seem it was worth the headache or stress of what can happen. the ASL basically adjusts the radio volume to compensate for outside wind noise, not your speed.
Oh wow, Preciate that!
What is the sound system like on these? Does it crackle or kinda start sounding cheap after a certain amount of volume?

@@rashadkee thats a bet. Thanks! How many miles does it have now, and any kind of reliability concerns?
i bought one for 133k turns out they did an odometer rollback. it actually has 230k. but i’ve put in 10k miles on it and honestly nothing that major has happened. the fuel pressure sensor went out and it was costly but me and my friend did it ourselves. now i’m contemplating on wether to keep the car or sell it. idk if it will even last me that long without giving me problems now that i know the mileage is actually at 230k. don’t want a money pit problem. i’ve checked the carfax and they haven’t touched the engine or transmission and i’m hoping it won’t go out on me at 230k and up. really feel like keeping and selling can’t make up my mind.
I'm between this and the IS350 of this gen which should I get? Add why? Performance cosmetics etc..
IS350 is faster but you sacrifice cargo space. If you are hauling a family around the GS would be better. I personally think the IS350 looks sportier, more defined. Really comes down to best performance or best passenger space.

Mr. Allie I’ve noticed when I’m in the drive thru (wall really close) or when I’m parked in between cars. Mostly if the engine is still a little cold, I think it’s the direct injection system. When it’s warm, I’ve been fooled into thinking I’ve already turned the car off because it’s so quiet.

I’m looking at a 2009 gs350 with 150k miles on it. Would you suggest as a daily driver? Is it reliable? They’re asking for 7500k would you recommend?
I bought my 2008 GS350 for $8800 with 98k miles. $7500 for 150k is a little on the high side. I would look at comparable GS350s with 150k miles on CarGurus to get a better gauge on how much you should spend. The car has been reliable, oil changes and tires. The only issue you will likely run into is premature tire wear. The camber on the wheels are “sporty”, even after alignment the inner tire will wear. Rotate sooner than usual with other cars. Hope this helps! Thank you for watching Joe.
In today’s economy, even just a year later that would be a deal nowadays. Sheeesh the inflation 😳
