This video has been requested a lot so here it is. I went and purchased the full Boy De Chanel range to give my honest review. Are these 3 products really worth £115?

Thanks for checking it out! As nice as these are I would 100% go with better/cheaper/more diverse alternatives, I think it's the "Boy" tag that's given it a hefty price tag! I personally use La Roche-Posay's CC cream as it's such a subtle but effective wear. I use Tom Ford's brow pencil (as it comes with a built in sharpener too!) and lastly I'd thoroughly recommend Nuxe's Reve de Miel lip balm. It's a tenner, last for ages, works wonders and gives you that matte finish most conscious men would want when avoiding other lip balm's glossy finish.
The foundation is outstanding, also the lip balm looks good. Great review, Carl
I think it’s on fair to criticise this guy he’s already stated he’s not an expert make up and when he said not all men will need the shade that was his honest opinion. But also if one is an expert at the trade it’s always good to make polite comments. Keep up the good work carl
You should do a follow up on these products! I'd love to see how you feel about the continued use of the foundation and lip balm.
I do have to say. I love Chanel. However, I think downplaying the color range saying “I don’t think men need all those shades” is untrue. I like you as well I’m not a hater by any means but disregarding shade range is not ok 🤷🏽♂️
Junior Taveras I’m not saying men don’t need as all the shades. What I’m trying to say is with woman’s shades go over the top a little bit as people can mix shades etc. Men would get confused if there was too many shades so it’s better to keep it a bit more simple.

Carl Cunard why would you mix you should find your shade and don’t need to buy more then one to get a perfect shade period look at Fenty its one of the top beauty brands because how many foundation shades they offer

If they only offer lots of light shades then dark shades they basically saying their brand is mostly for light skin people and saying a massive fuck you to a colored ppl

I purchased the Boy de Chanel foundation about a month ago, and I love it. I do apply it with a brush, and to me it looks undetectable. Also, I only need to apply one pump, and like you said I think it will last a long time.
Make sure to get rid of it before it expires. Once it turns it can burn your skin and it smells awful.

Hey I love Chanel as a band and love perfumes from them but foundation for 50 pounds is crazy expensive you can get nice hydrating foundation for less than 10 pounds but depends about wear time.... for brow pencil I dunno I feel like brow pencils are so popular lately that you can get good quality from drugstore but also benefit is amazing and you can use them all for same beard tricks. One of my favourite is MUA cosmetics brow define and its cost 1,50. I have wanted to try this lipbalm since I saw this collection first time it looks lovely but again its just extra money for brand, but one day ill treat my self.... If you want to try really nice lip balm try PatMC Grath its similar price point but I felt like it stay so much longer on my lips that other cheaper lip balm so the actual product last longer. btw I love how you always doing makeup videos even that you don't know what to do and just try and see how its work for you. Just because you’re lucky enough to have your shade available doesn’t mean everyone else is. Very excited to see this video as you’re one of the only whom reviewed the boy de Chanel but very disappointed w that comment and how you responded towards it.
My comment about the shades is not intended to sound like they shouldn’t have a shade for everyone. I was just saying woman have so many shades it can be overwhelming to a guy stepping into the makeup world. So my comment about the shades was just saying that the men’s range has less shades which makes it less scary for a guy to find the right shade. I believe the brand still has a fairly good shade range to hit all skin tones. I apologise if you took it that way but wasn’t intended like they at all. Thanks for watching.

I have never heard someone be more ignorant!what does it mean "women have more shade options but men dont need as much" doesn!t men have more than 8 skin tones? the chanel foundations lightest shade don't match me cuz im paler for example.We all need more shades and inclusion both men and women!
Thanks for your comment Kevin but Im not sure how you got Ignorant out of this video or that comment haha! My reason behind the comment wasn't about skin tone shades of men or woman it was that woman would be a lot more fussy when it comes to finding their perfect shade. Men would be happy to find something that is close to their skin tone and would much prefer to pick from a list of 8 shades rather than 50. As we are only just introducing makeup to men and telling the world it isn't wrong for men to wear it having a smaller amount of shades makes it less confusing for a man to pick from. Hope that answers your question.
@@carlcunard1 yeah but you said you should go and get shade matched professionally so the guy isn’t going to pick the shade the lady on the counter will which makes your point irrelevant.As a guy if i wore boy de chanels lightest shade it would be even more obvious its makeup because its way darker than my skin tone thus would put me off from buying makeup.Lots of shades dont mean you are picky, if it matches you perfectly it looks more natural.If you would know about color theory you wouldn’t make this comment that why i said “ignorant” because skin isnt made up of one color you have your cool,neutral and warm undertones so buying a shade that doesnt match your undertone will give away you are wearing makeup for example.You are influencing people so I think you should be more careful about your thoughts on what we want from brands.I don’t mean any hate or disrespect though everyone has things they are uneducated about which is why ignorance is curable by educating yourself and that applies to all of us. :)
What material is the boy lip balm casing made of? Is it plastic casing, like the very light type or heavy and feels expensive? Is the lip balm sheer or totally matte?

Loved this video! I just checked the product prices in the USA and I find them to be fair for quality products. One question ..... which brush did you use?
It is a little more pricey than a lot of other makeup but the quality really is great. I used the 2-in-1 Fluid and powder foundation brush :)

Raheem Hussain those foundations are a lot heavier and not as natural. They also don’t offer straight men the confidence of it being a “male” product. Also Too Faced? yeah no I’m good
Raheem Hussain @Raheem Hussain, I’ve tested Nars foundation and it runs toward more yellow undertones. The Boy de Chanel looks like a more limited, yet forgiving shade range.

Confused about the shades you chose. You are very, very fair. Isn't 40 or 50 very dark? I'm a 20 and about the same colour complexion as you. Were you going for a tanner look? After seeing them on, the 30 looks much more like your natural skin tone.
@JJS, He did say it is better to go to a Chanel counter to get matched for the best shade. The Boy de Chanel foundation shades look quite forgiving online. They are not available at my local counter, so I have not sampled them as yet. Definitely curious. Personally, I think a fella should go slightly darker. Otherwise, you are going to look like a corpse and will need to add bronzer to give your face dimension and life. Too much product layering and fussiness IMO. Just wear the base where you need it most, to even out the complexion.
I am looking for a foundation that’s unnoticeable, I currently use a BB Cream which is good. So I don’t know which foundation is less noticeable?
Charlotte Tillbury light wonder foundation is probably my favorite. It's for a natural finish and doesn't look cakey, if you have oily skin definitely use the mineral veil primer because it's a tad dewey.
I think the Chanel one I just featured totally would be a good move from the BB cream as it is really unnoticeable. If you wanted something a little cheaper then a Charlotte Tilbury could also be good. Just make sure you do get the right shade for your skin :)

I love everything but the lip balm. Their lip balm leaves so much to be desired. I’d buy it forever if it were good but, in reality, Chapstick is better. 💁🏽♂️
