Thanks for the video. After 15+ years, getting back into modeling. Wondered if anyone was into building zombie/apocalypse type dioramas and was surprised there are so many into this sort of thing. Just got Trumpeter's BRDM-2UM's kit and will build it as a military surplus vehicle or was abandoned for unknown reasons, then modified by survivors. What I don't understand is the guys wearing those blue & white shirts while wearing camouflaged uniforms. Why? I remember seeing all the U.S. G.I.'s wearing white t-shirts in Vietnam, but after a bit, they all went to green ones because the white stood out.

They're wearing blue and white striped shirts because that's the undershirt of the Russian Army uniform. Which the BRDM-2 was developed in the Soviet Union, and is still used in Russian service. The American equivalent to the BRDM-2 would be something like the Cadillac-Gage Commando.

Cooler Video, ich gehöre zu einem Airsoftteam wir suchen ein Airsoft, Funcar, Im Moment brauchten wir Tipps zum BRDM Fahrzeug, Versicherung, Zulassung, Wir kommen aus Baden Württemberg, müssen wir einen Umbausatzreinbauen, oder geht der so. Könnt ihr uns da etwas weiter helfen.

Ist zwar etwas spät aber ich fürchte da muss ich eure Hoffnungen leicht auflösen. Abgesehen von Anschaffungskosten und den extremen Wartungs sowie Benzin Kosten ist es fast unmöglich einen BRDM -2 in Deutschland zu fahren geschweigenden als ´´Funcar´´ zuzulassen.

Ja,ist der Polizeistern.Das ganze sogar halbwegs authentisch,denn die Bereitschaftspolizei hatte damals ein paar der SPW 40 im Fuhrpark. Auf den Wasserstraßen fuhren sie dann aber doch mit Booten ;) .
