------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear friends and followers, today’s video is all about my MORNING ROUTINES. What I do as I get out of bed and why the first hour of each day is so important to me. To be fair, my morning routine actually starts the evening before as I set my wake-up light / alarm clock. I generally like to have 7 hours of sleep, so if I have to be at work at 06:00 am for example, I subtract 45 minutes of driving, 20 minutes of showering and getting dressed, minus ONE HOUR OF MORNING ROUTINE, so I have to set my wake-up light at 3:55 am. So I should be in bed by 08:55 pm in order to get 7 hours of sleep.
WAKING UP
What I love about my Philips Wake-up Light, is that it gently wakes you in your sleep. The light slowly becomes brighter and brighter until your pre-set alarm time and then you can choose from various sounds, which are added to the light. Instead of a terrible alarm ring first thing in the morning, this really feels like a sunrise in your bedroom you’re waking up to. Another great feature is the sleep function which imitates a sunset at your preset time (10min -35min). Again, you can add relaxing sounds, which gradually go quieter and help you fall asleep. I love this thing!
More Info: philips.to/2BCuWBC
So once I’ve gently woken up from the light and sound, I stretch into my so-called "Victory Pose" and get out of bed. But see more about my 6-morning routine steps in the video.
Please comment below if you have a similar routines or techniques you do on a daily basis. I´ll be happy to read what you guys do early in the morning.
Here is my recipe how I prepare my BULLETPROOF COFFEE by Primal State:
Step 1: Brew 1 cup (8-12 ounces) of coffee using filtered water with 2 ½ heaping tablespoons of freshly ground coffee beans. I use a Bialetti or a French Press.
Step 2: Add MCT-Oil. I get mine from Primal State. 1 to 2 tablespoons (start slow with this stuff - it’s powerful!)
Step 3: Add grass-fed butter or ghee. Add 1-2 tablespoons, but make sure your butter is unsalted. Salty coffee is gross!
Step 4: Blend. Mix it all in a blender for 20-30 seconds until it looks like a creamy latte. There will be a good amount of foam on top.And enjoy!

Also, check out the BLACKROLL I’ve used in the video. I’ve had issues with my back for months, as I have a job where I primarily sit most of the time. But since I’m using the BLACKROLL foam roller, including the vibrating booster, my sore muscles from a previous workout are loosened up in no time and allow me to fly without any muscular restrictions.

Wishing you all the best and see you next week!

  • i love this video. thank you for this. im currently sitting sitting on my laptop at 4 am, whilst stressing out for an interview into a flight school in about 3 hours. the pandemic REALLY stalled all the plans that i graphed for my career in aviation. Ive been studying my ground subjects for over a year and a half because of the pandemic and the uncertain examination schedules in my country. its not very nice for an aspiring pilot to be held back so early into their career. im not going to sugarcoat this, but it genuinely has been a dreadful few months of contemplating my career decisions. im in the mindset of just winging it, taking whatever opportunity that comes to me and gaining as much knowledge and experience as i possibly can. im still not sure whether im on the right path or not. but im certainly sure that your weekly videos are a prime reminder for me to become as knowledgeable, highly experienced, disciplined, focused and admirable as you. im not entirely sure if you'd ever see this comment but i just want to thank you for helping me in ways you cant imagine. i will make sure to come back and tell you whether ive become the pilot i always wanted to be. i love you captain joe.

    • If you are truly bitten by the aviation bug - once a pilot always a pilot. Aviation is very black and white you either love it or hate it. Sounds like you love it so don't let a bad occurrence stop you from achieving your dream of becoming a professional pilot. The world is big and there are pilot jobs all over the world keep your focus broad. Truth in reality you never stop becoming a pilot as you always are studying, being tested, recurrent training, advanced training, safety training. The only time you stop being a pilot is when you can't pass your medical. YOU CAN DO IT!

I'm a student pilot and I feel like its difficult to get a good idea of the day-in-the life of a pilot because there are many different types of pilot jobs, and not ANY of them offer a get-to-know-you like this. I want to know what kind of people are succeeding in the career I'm pursuing so I can help myself understand whether I will fit into that area for the same reasons as they did, or not. I wish more professional pilots shared more personal content.

  • Thank you 😀😉 I don’t know if you’ve mentioned it or not but one of the best advices I realised from it and been doing for months was trying to never use the phone when I wake up until I do these things. For several reasons; one of them is that these tips are what really energises you in the morning and not the inbox or chat apps, plus it’s an addiction and it steals the time you have in the morning. For several weeks I’ve been using my phone and my PC way a lot to be honest and I wish I get my eyes and mind disconnected again as soon as possible. “Again,” because it was really good when I do horse riding or any sport or activity that helps me “forget” to use my phone. One of the good morning routines too, in addition to what you said, is “starting your day my making your bed 🛏. It becomes the first achievement of the day and it encourages you to do more challenges, and achievements keep following. And in case you had a bad or tiring day at work, at least you come back home to a bed that is made!” I saw that in another video. facebook.com/caseyadamsofficial/videos/279069572576733/ I do that a lot, not always to be honest, before I go to University. I couldn’t say it “changes my life” but I believe it differs a lot subconsciously and of course it’s good to have a tidy room and clean bed. Also, it was not at all my daily routine before August 2017 except if I’m sleeping in someone else’s bed, but when I stayed a month in Germany in a University trip to learn Deutsch, it was enough to make me quiet used to as a daily lifestyle.
