When aristocratic Eddie inherits the family estate, he discovers that it's home to an enormous weed empire - and its proprietors aren't going anywhere.
how all the other actors kept a straight face filiming this scene is a legendary feat on it's own
Why are you commenting? I TOLD YOU TO BE a CHICKEN!!!~!
We don't know how many takes it took. I bet there's a shitload of out-takes
Definitely not a first take 😂
When he started with the grain and the worms I lost it. Wonderful.
Absolutely! 😂
Freakiest moment in films.
Same here, I was crying at this point! 😂
Yeah I wished I had the balls to force a holes to do that.
And with that british accent on top of if. " Eat that Werrrm, come on ! ", I completely lost it right there as well 🤣
“All I want to see is… bird.”
BAERD
😂😂😂😂
I just wanna see...BURD!😂
*points shotgun* “FUUUCKOOOFF-“ 🤣🤣🤣
He becomes a chicken😂
He broke him spiritually I’ve never seen this before “obtain the frequency of a chicken” worse than physically punishing him this was brutal
Literally split his character in two with that
But had he actually submitted to the frequency of a chicken, he would've lost the sense of humiliation.
@@kornythechicken he would of lost his humanity also, tell me which is more important
@@wokeewok4014 if it were just for a few minutes, giving up your humanity would be a small price to pay to get out of such a difficult situation. I mean, how long did the boss plan to keep him that way?
@@kornythechicken you don’t get it, he broke his spirit, someone can do something humiliating for a short period of time that’s easy, but psychologically becoming something degrading is more serious than that, doesn’t matter if it’s for a few seconds
This is one of the craziest and funniest scenes Guy Ritchie has ever done
Just when you think we've seen it all from him, he goes and does this absolute gem. I'm anxious to see what he cooks up in Ungentlemanly Warfare!
No doubt
Ritchie a bloody legend man can't make a flop even if he was paid to ❤😂
The freakiest so far.
@@ashtonndlovu9470 Nothing tops his first 2 imo. This scene is perfect representation of those 2 (all subjective ofc)
Freddy actor deserves to win a major award for this role. His scenes were superb head and shoulders above everyone else. One of the best acting in last 2 years. He absolutely deserves to win some big recognition and Awards. 10/10
The chicken gag is one of the oldest comedic bits going back to vaudeville. Wether it's a rubber chicken or a suit. If you're gonna do it you have to nail it. And boy did they . Hearing the "becaaaalk" while watching him lean down for a dusty line was priceless
100% - I hope the whole cast gets a SAG too, such a great team effort.
Very little people gives a damn about these awards anymore. Super, the guy or gal is great at making pretend, give a little statue 🤦♂
I thought this scene was so well directed and acted by all the actors. It was a mixture of hilarious, sad and tragic.
It's a shame Peter Serafinowicz , didn't have more screen time in the show.
He was brilliant
Agreed. He's brilliant.
But I'm thankful for the ten minutes we had. "Don't pretend to be the chicken"
Stanley spelt with a C
He’s a genius
I know a lot of people find this scene funny but I was horrified and thought it was the darkest scene in the show. There’s something very assault like here - the way he’s forced to eat the worm between the guy’s legs his head going up and down - I was very creeped out.
Please I want to know the music in this scene
@rimmaatoug372 I think it's the theme of the show. The name of the show is "The Gentlemen". This type of sound is used throughout the show.
This scene hit home for me. I make my living as a chicken in a similarly humiliating costume. The reason why I do this is not exactly the same scenario as in this scene, but it's also not entirely dissimilar, either. I'm forced to take pretty much any paying gig I can get, and there have actually been several occasions where I've been required to "BE a chicken" for the duration of an appearance. Not just pretending, but actually "being the bird," as demanded here. I once worked a fair where I had to be a chicken for twelve hours a day for two weeks straight. Either you snap like this guy did, or you give in and submit to the role. Once you actually "obtain the frequency of a chicken" believe it or not the humiliation actually fades away.
We all got to pay the bills. I hope good things will come to you.
Heavy
Woah.... How does it feel at that point or you don't care
That’s interesting thanks for sharing it with us. Makes the scene have more meaning now.
@@rockefeller13 it's humiliating only until you "give in" and accept your form. Then you stop thinking too much and time passes differently, and humiliation doesn't occur to you. But you're kind of "locked in" at that point, and it can take a bit to mentally come back from that, but when you do, it actually feels deeply liberating.
Me and my girlfriend genuinely thought he was gonna go to the bathroom to OD, leaving the full 8 million debt to Eddie.
Same😁
I seriously could not stop laughing at this scene. I was on the floor almost unable to get my breath 🤣🤣🤣
One of the funniest things I’ve ever seen, can’t remember the last time I laughed so much.
Pakaaa! 🐔
Same bro 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Finishes the series within 24hrs. I NEED MORE! Masterpiece abd one of the rare examples where a series is as good as the movie…need to see it again.
Same here, guy Ritchie doing what he best at.
i stopped after episode 1 today. That ending was just too good to binge on.
What I love so much about this show is how much the scene keeps going. Every time I think, "alright they're surely going to cut" the scene just keeps going and takes us deeper into the characters feelings until we're ALSO there with them.
So funny...but the scenes on the quadbike were even funnier
The music with the cigar - perfection
Get on the couch and fly off 😂😂😂😂 had me rolling
The grain picking part is where I couldn't breathe anymore. Classic guy Ritchie
Lay a fukkin egg 😂
And the start when Feddy is clicking his fingers
"Come and eat the worm you fucking chicken!" I hope there's going to be another season, because I all ready miss it.
Great scene, hilarious even better when he sticks the cigar in his mouth and runs through the garden.
And almost slips!😂
"I want you to transform into a chicken". 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bro needs an Oscar for this. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂lol 😂😂
He actually makes a chicken sound at 4:20. He was completely broken; it actually was effective… until he saw the gun in the bathroom. Then everything was undone and he went right back to making poor decisions.
Nah, that was an awesome decision.
I wonder if Tommy would have been happy to start filming at this point - if it hadn’t gone south.
This was such a distressing scene to watch and by the end I could totally feel the anger in a way no other medium has captured. A masterpiece of direction here
This is hilarious, but it’s great how this method somehow made sense to dehumanize the dude and torture him psychologically. “You don’t just pretend to be a chicken. You have to actually be a chicken.”
I laughed for 15 minutes straight at this scene.
Peck the grain I'm pecking the facking grain
I binged watched the entire series in two days. I loved it. There were a couple of bizarre tangents in subsequent episodes but I assert the first episode was perfect. Perfect. Daniel Ings was a revelation. Who knew I’d fall in love with Vinnie Jones? And when ‘Uncle Stan’ specified he wanted, the “Waterman Sapphire Blue” with “blue ink, not black,” I knew I was in for one hell of a ride! 👍
Hop on
I did it in one😏
Care to go into detail on what you thought were bizarre tangents?
This scene will go down in history on how to embody a chicken.

@@Alchemista420 that scene was so degrading for the character 😆😆
This is the perfect example of the ultimate humiliation 😂😂😂
True but it also clearly shows what can happen when you push someone too far. The actors did a marvelous job in this scene. Well acted.
My living as a costumed chicken was designed to be the most humiliating occupation I could be given. This scene proves that it probably is, but thankfully I don't really feel it anymore.
@JohnCedar Thanks, and I agree with you on that. I always say, as absurd as I may be as a giant chicken, there's no way I can out-absurd what's going on in the world around me.
And the way he said "the bird" LMAO
BEEHD
omg lol byuuurd!
I lived in Liverpool for a year and a half and the stronger scouse accents on the northern parts would say it like that 110 percent
This entire scene has damaged my liver, I was literally on the floor gasping for breath at how hilarious this was. Specially when Tommy said "He has to attain the frequency first" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Over all an Amazing series, I really hope they dont cancel this and give us 2 - 3 more seasons.
I LOOOOSSSTTTTT it at he needs to attain the frequency
When he tells him to peck grain that was hilarious 😂

Even tho he kinda deserved it, the humiliation went too far.

Favourite show I’ve watched in years
4:00 Best part. He loses it.
First it was hilarious, then sad with humiliation. I couldnt stop watching. This is so good
I just finished watching this scene. As it was playing, all I kept thinking was 'Good, Freddy deserves this punishment'. Just in this 1st ep he has undermined and made a mess of everything. He is unapologetic about his poor decisions and actions. And isn't even grateful when Eddie bails him out and saves the estate. Now Eddie is gonna have to deal with a whole new mess. All because Freddy's little ego couldn't handle being rightfully humiliated. So yeah, the scene was disturbing and humiliating, it was suppose to be cause that is what Freddy should have felt. I hate selfish characters like Freddy the most, so people saying they feel sorry for him in this scene just baffles me.
He reminds me of cousing Roman from GTA IV
Roman didn't care being humiliated as long as he's safe tho
Yes this scene was way deeper than some people can pick up on. We all turn ourselves into something based on our frequency. It might not be a chicken, but definitely our energy can portray the bottom feeders of life. Look at what people turn into due to their frequency. Dang Guy Richie! This show is very spiritual.
hes so angry _..Become a chicken_ *!!!*
Peter is brilliant in The Gentlemen... spin off worthy. common lads, do a series on Tommy Dixon will ya
😂. The most ive laughed in years lol
This is one of the greatest scenes I have ever seen 🤣🤣🤣
Those split second scenes where hes looking over at his brother for help had me kind of sad, but for the most part I was laughing my ass off during this entire scene😂😂😂
Freddy: Pulls out the gun.. Tommy: May i suggest the Benelli M4
When he starts in with the "I want you to eat the fucking werm" I lost it
Best first episode ever
Theo James does a really good job on this show.
Yes he’s played such a level headed guy apart from his crazed brother 😂 ffs
10/10 series
I don't know why everyone found this scene funny. I think it was meant to be embarrising and I definitely felt it. It doesn't even try to be funny. At first it starts like a joke and Freddy doesn't take it seriously but the guy keeps ordering him and it gets super serious and awkward and embarrising. They specifically show how ashamed Freddy is. Who the fuck would laugh at that?
That's the point... To humiliate him
I never thought to laugh, it was hitting g me so hard in my soul, the not taking thing serious, the trying, the failure he feels, then he gives up and finally allows himself to just fall hard. He’s never been that low before, and I felt that.
BOCOOOOOOOOOOOOCK !! Epic
LOVED THIS SCENE. the acting was so awesome
it is possible that guy ritchie this has heard in real life and used for this scene?
This scene yeah…forget about it…never again will a classic like this ever be produced
i just finished watching episode 1. after a scene like that you can't in good taste continue to keep binge watching.
I immediately got flashbacks of when Ziggy on the Wire killed one of the Greek’s men

Guy Ritchie is actually inspirational. Special human. Id like to meet him one day.
I’m pecking the f******* grain! Dead 😂
Reminds me of Succession's Boar on the Floor scene🤣
This. Scene. Is. Amazing.
Thats gna go in history as one of the greatest comedy scenes in history. That custome is gna be a killer for halloween 😂😂😂
Couldn't stop laughing at this scene!
Maybe its just me but i like how the 'Fuck off!' at the end is spoken as if a rooster is crowing. Probably meant in an ironic way
They definitely intended it to sound like a chicken, showing how the turns tabled
Oh no it gets better, roosters crow to establish dominance and territory with each other. They call in order and the last one who crows is the alpha.
This! I thought the same thing swear
It also seemed the same to me bakaaaww
The guy playing the Chicken said he improvised that part.

That Fuck Off at the end sounded like a chicken… brilliant
This scene was top drawer, the dialogue, the scouse gangster, the boy counting the money, the music, the tense humiliation, the breakdown...
I thought it was funny for the first coule of minutes, but then I kinda felt really bad for Freddy. I mean it is still better than being death, but u could see it on his face that the humiliation was way too much for him.
Lmaoooooooo "Peck the grain"😂😂
Phenomenal scene!👌🏻
‘I can’t actually fucking fly Tommy’ is such an underrated line
This gives off a Ramsey Snow/Theon Greyjoy vibe.
Ofcourse he likes the Banelli M4 an Italian classic :)
Poor Jethro
I dont want any vestige of humanity left in ya.... I just want to see bird
This scene makes me proud to be a scouser 👏🏻
What a scene
A scene that makes the most of “chicken” being a word that’s made to be said in a scouse accent
Based on this scene, this is probably what a Guy Ritchie directed Superman film wwould go (w Daniel Ings as Superman) Clark: "Why am I different from them, Dad?" Earth dad: "Because you're not a f***in chicken, Kal. You're meant to soar...like an eagle."
Anyone know the song that plays in the background? Shazam couldn’t figure it out 😢
Hoping someone comes through here
