Im curious how old this clip is. Victoria looks different on the chase.
I ran the category.
My 6 year old says alleles are not a thing, and you probably meant alicorn.
Fun game but not sure why you have to answer it like a question. If you just said the word as an answer it would still make sense. Maybe other rounds are different? This is the first time I have watched this show
That’s the conceit of Jeopardy. It’s the most famous/longest running trivia show in the US. It was originally a joke because there was a huge scandal when other game shows were secretly giving contestants the answers beforehand, so Jeopardy gives everyone the answers and you have to tell them the question. Now, it’s been around over 9000 episodes, and the format stuck. I would recommend watching it. It’s my favorite show. You get used to it very quickly.
americans will insist that traditions have value just because they are old, even when those traditions are holding back progress.
Fun fact: they don't necessarily have to say "what is", they just have to phrase it like a question. If I'm ever on the show, I'm going to be the guy who says "what's up with the cell cycle?" and "can you say amniotic fluid?"
@@TheEvilCheesecake … Except that this tradition of the game show has been going around for half a century and probably around longer than you are alive. It’s so wise of you mentioning politics in a game show. 🙄 • Why fix what isn’t broken? Had this game the same as other game shows, it would be another bland and boring game show that people forget. • And there’s a reason why Jeopardy! is still a beloved game show and, in a way, comfort food, to many Americans. • It’s unordinary but also familiar. P/S: Asides from San Marino and the UK, we have one of the oldest constitutions that is still functional in the modern history (15 century onwards)
@@ThePerksdeLeSarcasmeSiorai you proved my entire point. things are not valuable just because they are old. but you'll understand that when you grow up a bit, hopefully.
