The AMG GT 43 is the gateway into this elusive club at Mercedes. On the outside you get a unique front fascia, AMG wheels, rear bumper and AMG exhaust. On the inside there is a balance of sport and luxury. Under the hood you will find a 3.0L turbocharged inline-6 that produces 362HP & mated to a 9-speed TCT. seen quite a few videos from Raiti - love the info and how its being presented. I test drove this car last month, it was a beast on the corner and freeway. definitely put on my list...Once you go AMG - hard to go back to normal one.

Great review Joe. You were sounding raspy. Allergies? BTW I thought the 43s were not EQ boosted but rather the 53s. You would see an EQ badge under the hood as well, and those were making 390 something horsepower if I'm not mistaken.
I feel like most of that hefty price tag for this car is the beautiful, futuristic interior.
I agree with you that the price is crazy. Especially when you can get the same infotainment system in the cheapest car Mercedes makes. The A220 starts at $33,600.

Grown up car that will lose 40% of its value in 1.5 year? I've owned a few mercs and they are nice, but price of this car is mostly on that interior and not on performance.

@@mappy-5934 I've owned c-300, amg c63, and blutec eclass from Mercs. I never went back after seeing the value plumit. I'd say from my favorite cars would be my GTR. I havent gotten the GT500, it will arrive here in about 12 days! I also owned 2 SRT-4's a long time ago. Those were extremely fun cheaper cars!

I think for the money, an E53 sedan is probably a better buy depending on how you spec it. Slightly more performance, more room in the interior, and it's probably more comfortable overall. As a bigger guy, I look at comfort and fit first, but the E53 has more horsepower as well. The GT 43 starts at $90k, and the E53 at $74k. For the price of the GT 43, you could spec ventilated front seats and still save money.

Right. Ventilated seats are a must have.
It's an option. Everything on German cars is an added option. You would think, though, a dealership in Florida would spec it with ventilated seats. That's on them.

I’m not a fan of the seat controls on the doors, most people only need to touch them once. Why would anyone want to see them as they are driving around in a $100k car when they could be on the side of the seat??? Great review Joe!!!!!!
