The 2022 BMW M5 CS ($170,800 CAD as specced, ~$143,000 USD) is an absolute rocket in a straight line. But today it has some serious competition - the Porsche 911 Turbo ($198,400 CAD, $174,300 USD). We already know that BMW fib about their horsepower numbers, but will the undisclosed power in the M5 CS be enough to overcome the lighter 911 Turbo? I love the 911 for how solid and consistent it is every single race, but if I still had the option to choose, the BMW would be my choice. 4 doors, easy to modify comparing to the 911, better sitting position for driving, and it's just a phenomenal daily drive.
I guarantee porsche will feel a lot better to drive, handling wise it's untouchable but daily drive and family car m5 for sure
tbh I want both. Both are amazing pieces of engineering at this point they all on their peak and endgame

Seating position in the 911 is better in my opinion. It sits lower and is a sportscar based car. But thats just my opinion. I can tell though that the M5 is NOT easy to tune. The 911 is probably better. The engine and enginebay of the M5 is complicated and packed. Hard to take apart and build again.
It's quite refreshing to see a non "S" 911 Turbo compete for once, which is equally formidable.

First, they brought the most powerful M car of all time and put a pro driver in it. Then removed 70 HP from the TurboS, and then took it's LC out of the equation. As if any of it was going to make any difference. And that m5cs is bonkers fast, but I think they just needed to be reminded who the opponent was

I'd love to see that tuned E63S doing a throttle house lap- how would it compare with the others or if its just too much power to throw around the curves??
If I had couple of other cars (considering the price of these toys) I'd def go for Porch any day of the week... Just wow... The bodywork, performance - I like even the sound of it, better reliability, you can have some fun on the race track also (even drive home from there too!). Porch it is..

@@latinace1981 when have you ever known a BMW M5 to outrun a Porsche Turbo of similar year? And this is probably the best performing stock m5 of all time. It's more than 300 lbs. Porsche turbos are around 3600 and the m5 cs is over 4100. The weight is worse than the hp is an advantage.

I think this also. The M5 cs might be the top of the m5 food chain,but it has 4 proper seats and a big boot. So keeping a 911 turbo honest is a good show for the m5
