Your image will stretch slightly but the boundaries of your image will not be cut off and the image will remain centered. Its not perfect but that is the issue with resizing. Creating Art for Print on Demand? In this video you talked about enhancing the image with UpScaling and creating 4 different Ratios -- 3x3, 3x4, 4x5 and 11x14. I have TWO QUESTIONS: (1) for your mockups on Etsy what size are your images? (2) and if you go the Print On Demand route, do you have to create images at different ratios as well or do you create just one size and the Print on Demand shop takes care of the different ratios. I'm getting ready to get the ball rolling so I'm hoping you can answer these questions for me.........thanks

    • Hey! Many thanks for tuning in! Let me try and answer these: 1) The international size works best for most mockups, but not all. If you have a Photoshop mockup, then going into the Smart Object and checking out the image size helps. Then you can input that image size into XnConvert and resize the images to the exact dimensions of the mockup 2) If you go the POD route, you will have to go to Printify and create the mockups there. The sizes depend on what the print provider you choose offers. Unfortunately, this process can't be automated, you need to manually fill in each image to the print provider's mockup. Hope this helps!

  • You are actually better off making unique products than copying products from well established shops, because you will never be able to compete with them unless you drastically undercut them (which would be unethical to copy them then undercut them), and that would leave you with very little profit margin anyway. Better to be creative, and come up with a great, unique idea/style.

  • You do realize that images from Midjourney are Creative Commons - meaning that anyone can steal your images that you are selling and create their own as you don't own them. Especially if you are using the free version of Midjourney. LOL I saw someone on Etsy and they have a AI Artwork and trying to sell it like it is their own work. It clearly isn't unless they paint people with 7 fingers on purpose LOL If you are doing this I recommend being 100% honest and post on your shop description that these are AI images. I know some of you will say why? People don't care as long as they get the image they want. True. Some people don't care. But there are a few people who do care about the art community and would much rather buy from a legitimate artist.

    • You can't sell images with the free version of Midjourney, as you don't get commercial rights. The risk of all digital downloads is that people can steal your work, that doesn't apply just to artwork, but to pricing guides, websites, planners, etc. Might as well not start anything then...

    • You aren't supposed to sell an AI image without some kind of customization to it. As soon as you have altered the image in any way it is yours and no longer creative commons. Mickey Mouse is ripped off all the time and if they do it to your image it is illegal all the same!

  • Wow, what a hero. Teach others to use stolen artwork and create a soulless product that takes focus away from real artists, yknow, the ones who did all the work. You understand these programs are built on stolen samples, correct? And that Etsy is for handmade and vintage goods only? Human greed is truly sad. Let artists have their space to thrive and actually live from our art.

    • Hey! Thanks for the feedback. AI art isn't subject to copyright protection as per U.S. courts decision in February 2023. The concern of where AI takes the art from will also go away once Adobe launch their own AI tool (Firefly) that generates art based on stock photos.

      @markonbusiness@markonbusiness11 ай бұрын
    • @Mark on Business So why are you exploiting real artists work now then? Why not wait until then? My point still stands regardless of the adobe software (plus they have already been caught in lies and have infact been using stolen images to train their AI), image generation is not art, it has no place on etsy. You understand the reason why it isn't subject to copyright in America is because you can't possibly own it as it is comprised of stollen work? Not to mention you are completely leading people astray, this sort of "passive income" is a red herring and never actually earns people anything more than pocket change, your entire channel is bait of the same nature in the name of views. And don't flatter yourself, my comment wasn't feedback, I was letting you know your morals are on the floor.

      @persiebun@persiebun11 ай бұрын
    • Sorry, but you clearly do not understand the mechanisms behind how Midjourney works. A few points: 1. Ai Art is not photo bashing. No images are stored or copied. The images, which anyone could find with google image search, were used to teach Midjourney what objects and art styles look like. Example: if you prompt for a balloon, it does not pull a picture of a balloon from a database and alter it. It renders an original image based of what it understands a balloon to look like from the references it has been shown. 2. Midjourney does not reproduce specific artists' works, just the art styles. And you can't say that Midjourney stole from Henri Matisse, just because it produced an art-piece in the style of Fauvism. 3. AI Art isn't subjected to copyright, because it's not produced by human hands. That was the reasoning provided by US courts, not because "you can't own it, as it is comprised of stolen work" - a very direct allegation btw, which is yet to be proved. 4. There is loads of AI art and other digital assets being sold on Etsy, without any repercussions. So no, Etsy is not just for material things. Thanks for the lecture, but my morals are doing fine.

      @markonbusiness@markonbusiness11 ай бұрын
    • Well done, you failed to prove any of my points invalid. But A for effort I suppose. This business model is a dead end that you've sensationalised for attention, there's plenty of content on here debunking all of these passive income methods that I would encourage every one of your viewers to look into (that's what a red herring is btw ;) so much for your "morals doing just fine.") so good luck lying to people on the internet in the hunt for views, hope it remains fulfilling for you.
