He knew that young man would not be able to control his testosterone, and that he would have something to prove to the crowd instead of wanting the win so would break the rules just to show people "what he could have done." So really the guy fought a brilliant fight and won.

I don't understand the first fight. First off these guys are separated by 3 weight classes and secondly I cannot fault the smaller guy for running away when the bigger guy blitzed. I have never seen a ref hand out both cards in a single moment nor for something like that before.

Definitely. The referee should have given him more time to execute the gameplan he was using, as it was his safest and surest path to victory. The foundation n nature of that gameplan involved using time to his advantage to tire out giant opponent n that was taken away from him. That was tantamount to taking away his opponent's big muscles (yes, I know that's impossible, (just a "for instance" type thing") cause his power looked to be his gameplan.

About the dude on his knee, he kept lifting up his knee when he went to scoot towards his opponent, if you time your kick to hit him when he is in the middle of that shuffle, there is no rule breaking, and you’ve just mitigated his strategy.

I don't watch MMA, and I can understand that the rule about kicking a fighter while they're on their knees is there to protect them. That said, Anderson Silva in the 2nd clip was robbed in my opinion. The Oriental fighter was on his knees by choice, not because he was knocked down. In the 3rd clip, that clown chose to be on one knee in order to take advantage of the rule and eliminate a potential means of legal attack. He is the one who should have been disqualified.

I said the same thing. But now I see that before the kick the other guy was stepping in, and as the kick did initially hit clean, I think it then deflected right up to the crotch. Not intentional and its odd to disqualify him unless there were other warnings. Humble and apologetic though.

Definitely. The referee should have given him more time to execute the gameplan he was using, as it was his safest and surest path to victory. The foundation n nature of that gameplan involved using time to his advantage to tire out giant opponent n that was taken away from him. That was tantamount to taking away his opponent's big muscles (yes, I know that's impossible, (just a "for instance" type thing") cause his power looked to be his gameplan.

A lot of these should be NCs not DQs. Also at 9:23 WTF is the commentator watching here that he deemed that a legal shot, knees on the mat is the definition of a downed opponent. While unfortunately rules struggle with context that's a NC as it was not an intent to break the rules he was trying to catch his opponent getting up.

I don't watch MMA, and I can understand that the rule about kicking a fighter while they're on their knees is there to protect them. That said, Anderson Silva in the 2nd clip was robbed in my opinion. The Oriental fighter was on his knees by choice, not because he was knocked down. In the 3rd clip, that clown chose to be on one knee in order to take advantage of the rule and eliminate a potential means of legal attack. He is the one who should have been disqualified.
