However, if it happens organically, you can observe fighters taking a moment to register what's happened. It's kind of like being in the zone - so focused on striking that you may not immediately realize you've already knocked out your opponent. That's why having sharp and vigilant referees is crucial in these situations.

You have no idea the intensity required to perform at that level let alone the frequency people are “out on their feet” and continue to operate on sheer grit and determination. When the fighters actions are unquestionably egregious and in violation of the rules, then and only then should they be put in front of a legislative body who makes a determination. Just because you saw a thing happen, doesn’t mean you understand what occurred.

@clockhanded Indie organizations, you're to bring your own Mouthguard, shorts, and cup. A lot of these companies skimp on quality, but also, often times, fighters will skimp on the quality of protection for themselves. The best kind of cups are custom made by high-end companies that care about the limited protection mma/boxing fighters have, same goes with mouthguard, pants, gloves...etc. It was likely this fighter wore the strap like cups that you tie with strings which are so bad for you cause they move a lot and his looked so out of place. The best are undie types that provide adequate amount of straps for a snug fit. This guy also highly out of shape despite what division he's in so his cups contour may have not really been the best fit with his rolls. Feel so bad for him, hope nothing popped from the power of the kick.

He tryed to avoid His opponenents kicks because He is known for it. So he got down. The other guy wasnt having that loop hole and kicked him anyway just to make clear If you try something like that it will get you beat Up and disrespected. Later after the match He was disqualified and the knocked Out guy "won".

@@TA-yw7ce you might want to check your facts. Using knee on ground opponent seems to be legal in one championship but soccer kicks is illegal. If it was legal, the fighter in the video might be kicking his opponent's head from the start. He hesitated to kick at first because he doesn't want to be DQ. He kick his opponent's head at last due to desperation and frustration. He doesn't care if he lose or not anymore. I don't know who he is but kicking someone at the head intentionally (illegally) worthy of a ban for lifetime. Keep in mind, this is just a sport, not a real fight for your life situation.

In most promotions it's illegal to kick the head of a grounded opponent, and having a knee down makes you grounded. Not sure if that was the rule here and his opponent just forgot for a second and ko'd him anyway (which would be a dq) or if it was legal and he just didn't know.

i think we should be very strict in the fight game and anyone who fails to stop a submission or striking when a referee intervenes should be permanently barred from all fighting organisations
There should be some flexibility when it comes to striking in combat sports. If a fighter is clearly dominating and keeps pounding their opponent, that's crossing a line. However, if it happens organically, you can observe fighters taking a moment to register what's happened. It's kind of like being in the zone - so focused on striking that you may not immediately realize you've already knocked out your opponent. That's why having sharp and vigilant referees is crucial in these situations.
Spoken like a person who has never been in a sanctioned fight. You have no idea the intensity required to perform at that level let alone the frequency people are “out on their feet” and continue to operate on sheer grit and determination. When the fighters actions are unquestionably egregious and in violation of the rules, then and only then should they be put in front of a legislative body who makes a determination. Just because you saw a thing happen, doesn’t mean you understand what occurred.

@clockhanded Indie organizations, you're to bring your own Mouthguard, shorts, and cup. A lot of these companies skimp on quality, but also, often times, fighters will skimp on the quality of protection for themselves. The best kind of cups are custom made by high-end companies that care about the limited protection mma/boxing fighters have, same goes with mouthguard, pants, gloves...etc. It was likely this fighter wore the strap like cups that you tie with strings which are so bad for you cause they move a lot and his looked so out of place. The best are undie types that provide adequate amount of straps for a snug fit. This guy also highly out of shape despite what division he's in so his cups contour may have not really been the best fit with his rolls. Feel so bad for him, hope nothing popped from the power of the kick.

We don't do that in jits, you're probably thinking of the combat stance that requires you to be sitting on your ass with one knee up. This was baiting for an illegal head kick which he deserved any way for being stupid.
In most promotions it's illegal to kick the head of a grounded opponent, and having a knee down makes you grounded. Not sure if that was the rule here and his opponent just forgot for a second and ko'd him anyway (which would be a dq) or if it was legal and he just didn't know.
