A very cool and useful device! 😁
Dude, hope u soon upload your cyber/electric cart/wheelbarrow project.
But the wheelbarrow projekt is also nice👍👍
I thought I was in the middle of a mid 90's cyber thriller such as 'Hackers" for a while. Nothing says professional machinist like making a tool build feel like an epic heist with the world at stake. Quite the adventure.

upgrade: you should put a reel holder on the opposite side that by turning with a crank you can fill a new reel
I love it! Last year I was in need of this exact tool and all that was available was one made of mostly plastic and broke after only 10-12 uses...Chinese crap! I've seen vintage ones made by Toledo here in the U.S. but none for sale. Yours is what I call industrial grade, built to last forever, I'm jealous! Thanks for the video.
This channel reminds me of the old videos from the king of random, RIP Grant
The camera work and editing were way to Extreme for me!! Great video and loved the camera work and editing/ soundtrack!
Best channel to edit metal videos.😍
Really useful in order to work fast and avoid too short wires. Great job 👍
Wish more channels did offset lathe work, that was superb👌 got my sub just for that. They have a tool similar to this at my hardware store near my house for measuring cable. I wouldn't have thought it would work in reverse a very cool option.
Nice machine, video, next time maybe a cable stripping machine?
That would be cool. I’ve cut myself many times, a few requiring stitches, while stripping cable.
The accuracy is mind blowing ! Job well done 👏🏻
00:00 Pointless machine Watches video 10:10 I love it and I want one
At first I thought it was automatic and cut wire to a pre-set length. That would be pretty sweet.
Me too.
complexity x1000% vs just clipping it
Now that I think of it, you could easily make a small device that pulls the rope with 2 rollers and measures the time between when the wire enters and when it exits. With the rollers rotating at a constant speed, it could easily and quickly calculate and display the length automatically. You could then add a cutting tool to the device to cut preset lengths.
Cheap camera. Opencv. Nice rig.
Dude definitely like the way how you improve your video style. That is F****** awesome 👌🏻
Some really cool camera work on this one.
Your production quality is exceptional! I am quite envious (in a positive way) both as a photographer and creator of metal items. I wish to be nearly as good as you are. Respect.
Awesome little bit of kit. I’m going to start coming here just for the techno machining.
You are an awesome fabricator and wicked smart? Not fair! 😁
Awesome work, dude! Pretty interesting idea! 😃 Happy new year! And stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
3:23 is a really cool shot, where the "idle" RPM line up exactly with the camera's shutter and the cutting slightly reduces them, making the part "move" and after the cutting it's back to being in sync. No idea if that was intentionally, but it's either way a really cool shot.
Clever idea 💡 happy new year 🥳 καλή χρόνια παιδιά με υγεια
Creative! That's a new use for a tally counter 🙂 Happy New Year!
Great job, thank you brother. You are so talented
! Qué gran máquina¡...muchas gracias por compartir. Felicidades
Unique tool build. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum this week 😎
Now THIS IS a good machining video with good background music.
What music? Music comes from talented *people* who play instruments, not from a PC, and mp3 files. This is merely noise with a PC beat.
@@DanKoning777 Good for you.
Absolutely beautiful!!
Very nice. What you should do is make one just like that where you can put a roll on the other side feed the Roland set the numbers to a certain footage and when it gets to that footage it cuts automatically.
Thanks for allowing us to look over your shoulder and have a Happy New Year🤗😎🤗😎
Very useful in a wire shop - saves manual measuring with a metre stick….awesome fabrication and lathe work 👍👌
Keep up the good work man. Nicely done. Such a simple and yet so useful tool... or rather a machine?
Perfect as always!!!!
Nice job my friend. Happy new year! Blessing all best things will come to you in new year 2022👍🧡🎉✨
Very cool.. I admire your talent and creativity...
What a great idea!
Very interest to watch. A master piece of work. The theory was Awesome! The meter indicator shows the correct length, that is nice. Bro.keep on going. The hand made device for the life time use, durability is 100% guarantee.
Great idea and end product..👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽
Thank you! A fantastic video.... Happy New Year to All....!!!
Wow, dude, this looks awesome. Happy New Year.😁😁😄😄🎶🎶🎤🎤🏙🏙🎇🎇🎆🎆
When you wound it on the spool you measured it then😁nice green finish again👍

Amezing measuring tool brother,I like this video
Is there a 3d printable version available? 🤔 I love it! Well done.
In anyway its good job. At big factories and high demand orders it is using of wire length encoders. Of course project with optical encoder needs microcontroller and some skills of coding, but it gives to you precise of 0.1mm or even less.
Useful tool. Used one of these devices when wiring control panels. Set it up to pull 2 to 4 wires at once from the spools through 3 panels plus conduit. Reduced time, prevented the wire from coiling after cutting. Was more accurate and resulted in less fumbling, kinking, tangling and recoil than stretching and weighting or tying to hold in place then measuring with a 25' tape measure then cutting and having to walk it back and pull through the conduit thereafter. Definately saved a lot of walking back and forth!
I have one of these made by an engineer out of an electronic counter and some cogs. Really useful.
awesome build! love from Greek American house! Kali Xronia!
Excelente muy util 👍
Good job👏👏
Muito interessante!!!!
Very useful, top job 👍
SWEET 👍 HAPPY NEW YEAR 🌟 🎆
There could be a pair of rollers, both rotating to pull the wire in automatically or via button. The length can be quickly displayed digitally. A cutting attachment can cut preset lengths.
Pretty cool
You don't know how old that cam pull idea is. The family business I was part had something similar to that for measuring feet of rope. And I think that machine was built in the late 70s.
Dope💯
Nice. I am building a length counter to respool my 3d printer filament. They are sold by mass and they have different densities. It makes estimating the remainder left on the spool difficult without knowing the real length.
Nice bro
love all the stuff you make, top notch engineering and fabrication skills.
Good job 👌👌
i kinda feel like it needs snips at the end, just pull out the length you need, hit a lever to cut it off
Happy new year 💞🇱🇧
Bravo 👍
You are the best
Am building this same thing tomorrow but bro your tools are dop👏👏🇳🇬🇳🇬
Nice bro..
Good job
good job
Super bro.
Music is back thanks👌
I'm surprised you haven't built a power hammer yet!
hmmm, lets make one, digital with the M1 Caliber...stay tuned
Very nice 🙂
Good! What spray is used for welding?
awsome gadget
Happy New Year 🎊🎆🎇
Nice
I'm looking for the exact thing would it be possible we can work somthing out. Need to measure 1. SS wire rope 7x7 construction. Dia 1.2mm up to ,2.2mm 2. Fishing line 0.8mm 1.6mm
Plz make a coil winding machine.. because it's very important..
I wonder, why didn't you do a cam instead? Ergo, put a small ball bearing on the end of that counter arm instead of the spring, and then have a eccentric cam that pushes down the arm instead. Would give more reliable operation as operation is then no longer dependant of the wear/health of the spring. Another thing that I think you should do, is some sort of detent in the roller assembly, that will make it easier to find the "0" position, since if you start rolling when the roller have already gone halfway, then it will start counting like 1 cm for 0.5 cm of wire, so by finding the position just a degree after it have advanced the counter 1 step, if you make a little detent there - could be a magnetic detent, it will be easier to set it up for even more accurate counting, as you will then always start with a full turn before counter advances 1 step. (Operation would then be: Rotate roller by hand until detent, then reset counter to 0, and then feed wire into roller)
They don't do electronics, they do "electrics" so they don't really care if it's off by a couple cm here and there.
Awesome but, How accurate is this? Is it by inch spacing or by cm.
Centimeters, looks like the margin of error is 10 cm
Look at mister fancy pants here and his six-jaw lathe chuck. Fancy. (joking aside, I love this video)
Happy new year guys..
