Seven goals and an iconic red card for Manchester United captain Roy Keane as we look back on a classic @premierleague fixture at St. James' Park.
Laurent Robert opened the scoring with a stunning free-kick before Ruud van Nistelrooy levelled. Goals from Rob Lee and Nikos Dabizas put the Magpies in command but again the visitors hit back through Ryan Giggs and Juan Sebastian Veron. United kept pushing and won the game courtesy of an own goal from Man Utd defender Wes Brown.

People always comment about the Premier League being scared of Keane, and his rivalry with Vieira. But Shearer was absolutely fearless.
Shearer's reaction, or lack thereof, is priceless. If you can keep your head while all about you are losing theirs. You'll be the man my son!
Keane boiled and Shearer didn’t even blink 🤣
Bobby Robson. Respect to that gentleman for his huge career.
Football is just not the same any longer. To watch these players was a privilege
Miss the good old days. Bellamy, Solano, Robert, Lee, Wor Shearer and to top it all off our gaffer SIR BOBBY ROBSON!! ❤
In shearers own words “done him up like a kipper there “
That smirk on Alan's face after Keane gets sent off is priceless.
Shearer, Bellamy, Robert, Solano, what a team that was
never hurts to watch old matches
Then and now, we have a team to be proud of 👏🏻
Sir Bobby, who can't love this man ❤
Love how Shearer absolutely punked Keane, he knew he wouldn't do a damn thing lol
2 of my fav players as a kid Laurent Robert and Solano 😍😍
What a time to be alive. Sir Bobby ❤
Keane was always a hot head. Well done to the classic Newcastle team.
This is the first NUFC match I ever watched on television. In the States, starting in 2000 or 2001, one could watch EPL matches on pay per view. I was curled-up in bed, trying to emotionally recover from my near death experience 4 days earlier in lower Manhattan. And for two glorious hours, I saw my favorite EPL team in-action on a screen. I chose to support NUFC in 1993 partly because they were not Man U, and I like the Geordie culture. I knew I choose the correct team when King Kev nearly won them the title. But this match was life changing for me. And what's not shown here is after the final whistle, Sir Bobby was taking in the achievement and maybe spaced out a bit, and for a split second he didn't notice Sir Alex standing in front of him with his hand out. Bobby snapped out of it, shook Alex' hand and trotted off, victorius.
Shearer would've went through Keane easier than a hot knife through butter!
Crazy footbal player Roy Keane. Alan Shearer class player
Shearer played Keane like a fiddle
