I like how protective and empathetic towards the bees she is near the end when Joe is talking about the protein in pollen. She is like "No, the bees need that for their food".

@@billblaski9523he protein that is in pollen. A lot more protein efficient than say meat from chicken. But it’s very important to the life cycle of bees and plants so humans should not be consuming it. Some exercise nuts might want too which she is warning against.
Erika may have said this at some point, but the way she describes her feelings when she discovers and rescues all of these bees, you can tell she feels it is a sacred trust and an honor to be able to keep the hive together and intact.
I agree, she does have such a great affinity with the bees, she even sounds like a bee when she says bees 😂

i had a bee hive that was moving that took a break in my front yard in a tree and there were thousands of bees covering the queen and we just left then alone and within like 5hrs they went on their way.

I've been stung by so many bees for no reason that I actually prefer yellowjackets to them. They get a bad wrap but won't sting if you don't swat and really appreciate a bite of sandwich or cap of water.
Them and wasp, I have a tray outside by my garden I put old raw hamburger on. They love it. Plus it keeps them coming back to the garden and killing off caterpillar and bag worms on my garden plants

there is plenty of bee pollen available for sale, always. it is not taken from the comb. it is from what drops off their legs entering the hive. some people have a pollen catcher kind of screened bottom with a drawer. i have never bothered. just more equipment.
