This trailer broke my goddamn heart. About 15 tears ago i took in a rescue chihuahua with the worst behavioral problems i had ever seen, it was she came to live with me or she was put down, those were the options so i decided to try. It was hell, she was aggressive (by the time i trained her i had to have 12 stitches because of her) mouthy and obnoxious. Slowly but surely i built up her trust to where she was an almost normal dog with me, then i got hit by a car and was badly injured and in so much pain suicide actually looked appealing. Then she turned into an angel who would never leave my side and we spent all day together and was my best friend. I swear to god her name was lulu and seeing this broke me because she died not that long ago and it made me realize just how much i actually miss that little psycho.

I'm glad you've recovered, I'm sure that was hell. I have a similar story and when I finally had to put my boy down it killed me. There's something about building the trust of a dog that can't really be expressed in words, but if you've experienced it you know that connection. I'm sorry that you lost lulu but it sounds like you were her hero and she was yours!

Military dogs have a special place in Channing's heart. He produced and directed a documentary about the brave US military dogs on the front line, and their handlers. Bonds that cannot be broken. You'd be surprised how these dogs are trained for the police and military -- extreme cruelty, including beating, shocking and starving, all caught on tape. No different than how dogs are trained for fighting. Animals should not be involved in human's dirty deeds.

As a dog trainer, i can say it's an incredibly easy job. It simply requires patience, and maybe a basic understanding of psychology- reward the behaviors you want, ignore/punish the behaviors you do not. But mostly the patience thing, you have to be calm and collected if you want to be a leader, and that's all being a good dog trainer is, being a good leader.

@@harveyplantharvester1502 Maybe, at least in some cases, or at a previous time, but i find it hard to believe that now a days, with camera's everywhere, how much the average American loves dogs (bad publicity), and the well known, and absolute fact, that the science is in: That is not the most productive, or fastest, or best way to train a dog. I'm sure you have several anecdotal cases you can cite, but again, I highly doubt that is the norm. Anyway, that is most certainly not the case with Hollywood dogs, like this dog, which is what i think they were referring to - the real life dog, not the dog it "plays" in the movie. Animal welfare people are all over, on every set that uses animals.

Here is a RECENT official report of the abuse: April 2021: "A blistering report, released by the State Department's Office of Inspector General last week, found that since 2008 at least 100 American bomb-sniffing dogs have been starved and abused, and at least 10 - possibly more - neglected to death by our ally Jordan." Something tells me the dog dies at the end and it will break my ❤ . Just like the Marley and me. 3 years ago on Christmas eve my own dog passed away in my hands. He was having seizures when we got home. He was old and was fighting. I'm crying holding him I said static I love you and it's OK to go, you were the best dog ever. After I said that he left us.

Definitely for fans of either Channing Tatum and/or dogs, this movie was very much an American road trip movie full of humour and adventure. It had a simple and endearing linear story of basically a damaged and traumatised dog and man who healed together. With that said the movie explored some deeper and more challenging themes in quite a nuanced way, I have seen many a Channing Tatum movie and here he did a fine job and really stepped up to the plate, I must say he always delivers! I must say that Channing must have spent the two years of lockdown locked in the gym and totally looks the part of an army ranger fresh from fighting the Taliban! Overall this was a very funny movie that gently established a relationship between man and man's best friend. The music was good, the cinematography great, the script compelling and the ending a joy.

Looks good, hope there is a nice loud disclaimer stating (MALINOIS DO NOT MAKE GOOD PETS). Actually they do but only if your prepared to give them 'jobs' to do and are willing to put in 2 hours of training a day for at least 2 years. Too many of these amazing dogs in rescue as it is due to people getting them and then realising they dont have a fucking clue how to manage one.

As a former handler and still current owner of a retired K9 I can attest to that dogs behavior. They are work animals and it’s all they care about. If they can’t fuck, bite or eat it they mostly don’t care about it. And they only listen or like their handler, and even then you got to put them in check because they start to feel they are the alpha. But when they retire they chill out because after awhile of not going to “work” they lose their drive. Mine is good with my kids, I trust her with them more than I would most humans. She will protect and fight and die if something or someone tried to harm them. She still gets excited over certain words like (work, bad guys, kong, drugs) shit that reminds her of going 10-8 for shift. Now she has the chance to be a pet and which you can’t do while they are actively still work dogs. If you treat them to much like a pet and give them treats or rewards for things outside of work they will lose their drive to work and do good because that’s how they earn their rewards and they love working. This trailer broke my goddamn heart. About 15 tears ago i took in a rescue chihuahua with the worst behavioral problems i had ever seen, it was she came to live with me or she was put down, those were the options so i decided to try. It was hell, she was aggressive (by the time i trained her i had to have 12 stitches because of her) mouthy and obnoxious. Slowly but surely i built up her trust to where she was an almost normal dog with me, then i got hit by a car and was badly injured and in so much pain suicide actually looked appealing. Then she turned into an angel who would never leave my side and we spent all day together and was my best friend. I swear to god her name was lulu and seeing this broke me because she died not that long ago and it made me realize just how much i actually miss that little psycho.
I'm glad you've recovered, I'm sure that was hell. I have a similar story and when I finally had to put my boy down it killed me. There's something about building the trust of a dog that can't really be expressed in words, but if you've experienced it you know that connection. I'm sorry that you lost lulu but it sounds like you were her hero and she was yours!

The real hero behind the movie is the person who made this dog a movie star. Never thought about these things hadn't I met a dog trainer lately. Such a devotion to admire. Definitely gonna watch this movie. 👍

As a dog trainer, i can say it's an incredibly easy job. It simply requires patience, and maybe a basic understanding of psychology- reward the behaviors you want, ignore/punish the behaviors you do not. But mostly the patience thing, you have to be calm and collected if you want to be a leader, and that's all being a good dog trainer is, being a good leader.

@@harveyplantharvester1502 Maybe, at least in some cases, or at a previous time, but i find it hard to believe that now a days, with camera's everywhere, how much the average American loves dogs (bad publicity), and the well known, and absolute fact, that the science is in: That is not the most productive, or fastest, or best way to train a dog. I'm sure you have several anecdotal cases you can cite, but again, I highly doubt that is the norm. Anyway, that is most certainly not the case with Hollywood dogs, like this dog, which is what i think they were referring to - the real life dog, not the dog it "plays" in the movie. Animal welfare people are all over, on every set that uses animals.

This is my life. We don't rescue (I did for a living, humans), but...Animals in our fam...we can't live without. I have to watch this movie because...it's what we go through on the daily. It's so fun, challenging and bewildering. Saying "NO" is common place but saying "treats" to them, fills your heart.

Something tells me the dog dies at the end and it will break my ❤ . Just like the Marley and me. 3 years ago on Christmas eve my own dog passed away in my hands. He was having seizures when we got home. He was old and was fighting. I'm crying holding him I said static I love you and it's OK to go, you were the best dog ever. After I said that he left us.

finally a movie that seems like a good time...no SJWs, no politics, just entertainment
Yeah, none of that preachy, self righteous excuse of stories currently being forced on us.
Definitely for fans of either Channing Tatum and/or dogs, this movie was very much an American road trip movie full of humour and adventure. It had a simple and endearing linear story of basically a damaged and traumatised dog and man who healed together. With that said the movie explored some deeper and more challenging themes in quite a nuanced way, I have seen many a Channing Tatum movie and here he did a fine job and really stepped up to the plate, I must say he always delivers! I must say that Channing must have spent the two years of lockdown locked in the gym and totally looks the part of an army ranger fresh from fighting the Taliban! Overall this was a very funny movie that gently established a relationship between man and man's best friend. The music was good, the cinematography great, the script compelling and the ending a joy.
This is going to be heart wrenching !

I’ve been privileged enough to see the screener of this already. It’s pretty good but their love scene is awkward.
Looks good, hope there is a nice loud disclaimer stating (MALINOIS DO NOT MAKE GOOD PETS). Actually they do but only if your prepared to give them 'jobs' to do and are willing to put in 2 hours of training a day for at least 2 years. Too many of these amazing dogs in rescue as it is due to people getting them and then realising they dont have a fucking clue how to manage one.
That's what scares me, I remember after Snow Dogs and Game of Thrones all the Huskies that ended up in shelters because they are beautiful and wonderful dogs, but people didn't realize they are not easy dogs to own and are a handful

I've definitely gotta see this! And I love that she's named Lulu... it doesn't seem to fit her character, but that makes it perfect.
As a former handler and still current owner of a retired K9 I can attest to that dogs behavior. They are work animals and it’s all they care about. If they can’t fuck, bite or eat it they mostly don’t care about it. And they only listen or like their handler, and even then you got to put them in check because they start to feel they are the alpha. But when they retire they chill out because after awhile of not going to “work” they lose their drive. Mine is good with my kids, I trust her with them more than I would most humans. She will protect and fight and die if something or someone tried to harm them. She still gets excited over certain words like (work, bad guys, kong, drugs) shit that reminds her of going 10-8 for shift. Now she has the chance to be a pet and which you can’t do while they are actively still work dogs.
