Devils fan here - ton of respect for the Flames organization, nothing but class all around tonight from the organization and players. Video doesn't show it but Tkachuk helped skate the stretcher out, saw some of the other flames helping trainers and paramedic's across the ice as well and praying. Classy organization

Brutal toe pick. Tkachuk might be a dirtball sometimes but he was nothing but helpful and respectful in this situation good on him.

Also, on the Devils broadcast, they showed that he and a Devils player go down to where the guys were struggling to bring the stretcher out and they both take it over to Mueller for them. Love Tkachuk.

I do too. Obviously both of them were just working hard for the puck and just got tangled up with each other, but I'd still feel bad In his shoes
Frolik looks like he blames himself, nothing he did wrong. Just happens in an instant.

update- i just read that he was released from hospital earlier today. minor concussion (if there is such a thing), & bruised clavicle & scapula. should be just fine. phew.

I’ve never heard an arena that quite. Hats off to the Calgary Flames organization for standing on the ice wishing him well. You can tell everyone felt bad. As a Devils fan, I hope for his speedy recovery.

Ouch. Hope he’s alright, and the stretcher was just a precaution. In high school a kid nearly broke his neck when we played against his team and it was one of the most tense moments I’ve ever been involved in.
I did this exact play while playing in univ...the top of my arm was just above my nipple when I woke up (came to). Obviously shoulder was out. It’s a terrifying feeling when you catch an edge at top speed so close to boards. Hopefully it’s just structural damage and he’ll be fine.

Hockey Heaven it was probably difficult to see the toe pick live. I’m a flames fan, but I I thought Frolik was at fault until I saw the replay.

@@BlermanBlerman-dz8mi Depends on the concussion. You might lose consciousness for a bit like I did. Then you'll feel confused for some time, like your IQ dropped quite a few points. I couldn't drive a car for 2 weeks, too many things to keep in mind. Concussion symptoms can vary widely between individuals. I was fortunate enough to have a swift recovery with minimal issues.
BloodyL exactly also you could have a pounding headache or a lot of pressure on your head and it is painful and sucks how many concussions you have i have had 4
@@doubleanjdevils7768 4, damn that's rough. That's getting up there in that it might cause long-term problems if you're unlucky. This was my first one. I might have hit my head hard falling off a couch as a kid but I'm not sure if that's just my imagination.

Tell me if i missed some cause this is bad
TJ Tilghman all of the trades were good moves though. It just sucks that we have so many injuries. We have 7 NHL players left on the roster, the rest are AHL guys. But we’re moving in the right direction. Hopefully with these guys out we can get a better chance at the 1st overall pick and get our young guys some good NHL experience for their development

He took the impact on the back of his neck and his shoulder blades. Yikes. I wish for him to be o.k. My brother was hit by a car while riding his bicycle. Witnesses said he flew up and landed on the back of his neck and shoulder blades. He is quadripalegic.
