  • Coco played this Match MASTERFULLY.. She came in very subtle and Average, letting Sabalenka think she was gonna Dominate (and was at 1st) but Coco stayed LOCKED IN & when she got Up in the 2nd Set she knew Instinctively to TURN IT UP after Sabalenka had Exhausted some Energy. Knew she wouldnt be able to stay Dominant the whole match and Coco turned it up and Ol Girl Crumbled. WELL DONE CHAMP! 🏆🙏🏽

  • To the commentator the other player didn't "let CoCo off the hook," CoCo outplayed her geesh! nothing against the other player but if it was the other way around. It would have been "Hjxsyl out- Played CoCo on that point," cut it out..give her respect for being a great player

  • On another note, it's very interesting that Mary Carillo & Lindsay Davenport didn't acknowledge Spike Lee & Leon amongst the celebs they named. Great job, history making Champ Coco! So proud of you! Yes, Ms. Mary. Sabalenka was looking directly at the ball (18:33). At least Tracy Austin @ 1:07:00 lets us know who she's rooting for, as opposed to these 2 American commentators. No matter what Coco does to turn things in her favor, they have little to nothing to say, yet they're constantly being complimentary towards Sabalenka. This is quite surprising from Davenport; Mary C., not so much.

    • They actually said Andy Roddick was the last American champions to win the US Open. He won in 2003. Wanna guess the “Americans” that won after that? They’re beyond annoying… when Serena played, I’d have to keep the tv muted because of it.

      @gailmurray9120@gailmurray91207 ай бұрын
    • @@gailmurray9120 sure the last american that won the us open was sloane stephens but it's an easy thing to forget. Sloane was rather muted on tour as a celebrity-athlete and that final was rather lackluster anyway. Andy Roddick winning the US Open in 2003 is about as big of a deal as Coco winning it this year . Also, Leon isn't really an A-List actor that everyone knows and Spike Lee, although being more famous than Leon, hasnt really done anything notable in a long time.

  • The common view is that most of the game was on Sabalenka's racket, she were the dominant player. Well, only in the respect of Gauff leaving her in that illusion. Look at it as like during the Hercog match 2019 (actually more important for her premature immortality than the other one; first round, remember) or, an even stronger comparison, Ali luring Foreman into endless barrages of punches, only to change gear when he thought time was ripe; you know that story, don't you.
