Loki's finale revealed that the man behind the curtain was actually the new MCU villain Kang the Conqueror...kind of. He's actually more like the Marvel comics villain Immortus, an older version of Kang. But still, it's fun to go back and watch the show for every clue that it was actually Kang the entire time.

I thought the see you soon just meant another variant of him would see her soon
Could be. He also said whatever they decided to do he would end up back there...
He said if he is killed it results in the multiverse spreading out of control, which leads to more kangs, which leads to the multiversal war, which leads to a Kang eventually ending this war and starting the TVA to prevent more kangs... So, he’ll end up back there anyway. If they take the job... then, something new.

When the infinity stones were introduced I was blown up. They had the power to control any aspect of the universe. Is there any power stronger than that? Well, it turns out that the stones are only simple rocks compared to the control of the Multiverse. I’m as hyped as I was years ago when I first saw Thanos and the stones

I'm just waiting for everyones frustration when they realize that what happened in Loki means that a new, more powerful (and gold) Ultron will emerge from the void.
Doug: I am not Kang THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT KANG WOULD SAY!!!!!
But its not
I would not
Kang never meant to let Loki and Sylvie rule the TVA, it was a ruse to divide them. Not only what he offered but the way he offered it. Kang paved the way for them to get there, so he could die and a different Kang eventually takes the same place after the multiversal war, or maybe even himself and by dying he is letting himself have a life again until he reaches the same point in time.
My guess is that Kang was looking for a Loki in all the multiverse to be willing to kill him. That’s why there were so many of them pruned. But he was experimenting with them and then he change his approach and considered stealing them when they were little. That’s why kid Loki and the child Loki (sylvie) but because she scape then he knew she was the one. That’s why Kang emphasized in saying that she will never trust anyone. And the nexus event went Loki and sylvie were together in lamentis was because she was starting to trust Loki. And if that happen Kang wouldn’t die. In a way the glorious purpose of Sylvie was to kill Kang and start the multiverse. Which make sense since Kang was already tired and bored (he said that).
I don't think so. He could get anyone to wield a knife and hold still. What he needed from any Loki is the "change agent" property. He's opposite to a Nexus being like Wanda that is the same in all Universes -- he's always different. Things are only predetermined because Kang is inevitable because of Kang starting the Universe, and the pruning of the branches. Predeterminism is necessary because of chaos.
Well if multiverse is inevitable. So is Kang. So its just a rinse and repeat I guess
thats also what i think i mean, how does Being a girl means ur a variant. I mean being a variant means you did something that wasnt supposed to happen. So technically Sylvie who became a variant just because she is a girl, Its not her fault to be a girl. Means someone purposely made her to be a girl so she would be a variant.
@@liyuu7033 Sylvie wasn't a variant because she was a girl -- she was a variant because ALL Loki's are. But a Loki is necessary to bring about the change to prevent the variations and dimension wars of Kang. Loki is like an inoculation for variance.
After the end of time , only slyvia killed kang. So it also meant that kang didn’t even know by himself that he is gonna get killed.
When Dr Bruce Banner said 'IM IN A LOOP' he's actually NOT WRONG.
But it's not a regular circle. More like a freaky circle.
Theory: Miss Minutes is not really evil, she's actually purely a recording, made based off the script of everything, that Immortus/HWR has. She's programmed to respond to what he knows they must say/do. That's why she responds, "Both" when Loki asks what exactly she is.
Truth: Miss Minutes is an upgraded version of Friday because Kang is a descendent of Tony in the MCU Universe.
I like the theory that Kang is a descendant of Tony Stark and not Reed Richards like in the comics. Stark has been the centerpiece of most of the MCU. He discovered time travel initially 1000 years before Nathaniel Richards supposedly did. And in the Loki show, the version of Kang is wearing a similar time/tool thing on his wrist as Tony Stark created in Endgame.
That could be entirely possible. But it's a little strange how Tony Stark invents time travel in 2023, yet it's not until a millenium later that Kang discovers it and starts to meet variants of himself. You'd think that would've happened much sooner...
@@ricofed439 Kang/Immortus makes sure the sacred timeline "loses" the time travel theory/science and equipment so that it is "rediscovered" by his younger self in the 31st century :)
Hmm...Kang's MCU name could be Harley Stark...LOL
First Ultron, now Kang... Stark keeps stealing all the cool villains from the other MCU smartasses.
He died before he had kids….
Just to point out that when sylvie killed the middle timekeeper, I believe this is when he who remains realized that she was the key to restarting the loop so that kang would once more be in control.

Maybe many other Lokis were presented with the offer Miss Minutes presented and they took it.
You mean in different iterations of the time loop? Otherwise there would have to be a TVA for each timeline!
and so Kang "paved a road" that would create a Loki (or two) that were mature enough to not just want to rule
@@nevbezaire When a Loki matures enough to not want to rule, or could defeat kang, it's time for a new Kang. He needs to be one step ahead no matter what
@@kornkid13 what? He wants them to take over running the end of time and not want to go back and rule the nine realms. So Miss Minutes is the final test before he introduced himself and he's a step ahead.
What always bothered me is how the TVA judged the variants. How can you judge someone when he broke a law he knew nothing about and shouldnt know? And they ask for Lokis defense. Like, he was trying to escape. It really threw me off how flawed the TVA's justice system is. "We kidnap you out of nowhere. Now tell us your defense, without having time to even think of a defense, of why you broke the law you knew nothing about." Like bruh
This. The tva were authoritarian assholes that punished those that didn’t know they had done wrong.
It is the same justice system of any anarchy. You do something the guy in charge doesnt like, you get killed.
The whole thing is rigged Kang does whatever he wants to make sure his timeliness isn't harmed. The system is just to keep things in line. There's no not guilty party. That's how I see it
I think it has something to do with how they get new tva employees. If they did it accidentally and they're a good person/fit for the job, they'll take them in, if they intentionally broke time then they'll get pruned. If not then there wouldn't be any need for that fake justice system
Hello, it’s all a lie. Which is why it fails? It’s not run by wise, benevolent gods but a mad conqueror
When He Who Remains says “see you soon”, he’s just implying that the other versions of himself will start pouring out of these branching timelines and will start wreaking havoc. I don’t think he’s saying they are in a time loop.
but in 9:50 he did say they are in a time loop
@@krasserkaiuwe9094 Could be a time loop, but I like to think what he is saying is the implication that a multiverse war will generate a similar outcome, possible other kang using Aliot to kill all universes so he/a version of him will be at the end anyway.
I agree I think he's saying a worse version of his self was coming
y’all he is saying both while the evil variants of himself will come and wreck havoc one will also come and establish the tva and the sacred timeline
"See you soon" implies that this will result in a paradox. There will not be another version of he who remains. This action is killing him causes the multiversal war in which he defeats the other version of himself. The only option at a different result would have been to stop the multiversal war or having them take control of the travel (maybe?).
I glad we got a version of kang as the main villain of Loki instead of bohner.
Boner. (Beavis voice)
Heh. Bohner.
Lol boner
I still think that was a fake name, Jimmy Wu had a witness stashed in the town
What a twist that woulda been! Ralph as He Who Remains
I think miss minutes is a nexus being and the TVA exists in the quantum realm.
I also thought the tvs existed in the quantum realm. But there's a problem with that theory. The quantum realm exists outside the timeline. And since in the MCU if you time travel into the past what you do there doesn't affect anything in your original timeline, doesn't that mean that Mobius memory of Loki should'nt've been erased even after hwr was killed?
Best demo I've ever seen. Seriously amazing stuff!
"Why did you take me as a child..." "Cause you started this sh*t."
Tbf tho it was the TVA, taking her as a child, that spurred her on to cause "this shit" 😂
Literally all of these aren't clues and nothing but assumptions. HILARIOUS.
Clues Kang was in the Loki Series: 1: It's in the comics. 2: but not in the series at all. The end.
Maybe the TVA only takes Sylvie to begin with because she's the one who's supposed to restart the multiverse. I find it hard to believe they didn't know where she was hiding because Loki finds her almost immediately.
It was accidentally found
The TVA didn’t know but ‘Kang’ definitely knew
Loki is smart, tva are dumb, kang did not care

I think Kang(TVA) sent the judge lady(can’t spell her name) to find the younger version of himself that helps him discover the multiverse and sets him on the path to being the one left behind. This starting and completing the loop.

Can’t say you were dead on when the last video that you released before the finale was that king Loki is behind it lol. I think we all hoped it would be Kang but when Maphisto didn’t happen we all thought thematically it made sense to go King Loki, I had this theory after the episode 2 reveal that it truly was Selvie. So I guess I beat screen crush to that theory by like 4 eps as well 😂 They were totally on their own island with the power broker theory in falcon and the winter soldier though.
@7:04 i like how mobius does that hang gesture pointing to his head to say that loki is smart so dope
I've always wondered if Steve deciding to stay home caused the loop.
If you think about it, Cap created that timeline branch like days after Loki used the Teseract that triggered his whole adventure with the TVA. So technically the multiverse would already exist, and that’s why it didn’t trigger the TVA for Cap. That’s my theory
the tva is in the quantum realm, thats how it's able to exist seemingly without time. and furthermore, magic is earlier explained to be science that current time does not understand yet. with Kang being from the future and also having access to the technologies from other multiverses, he would have been able to harness the power of runes, explained in wanda vision, in order to stop magical beings using their powers in the tva.

I believe Kang the Conqueror revealed himself to Ravonna in one of the various timelines she has been through over the years. Before she pruned him or either reset the timeline he was in, I believe he told her that the “Time Keepers” (which we now know was really Immortis) was really the evil one and an enemy of free will. I believe she had an opportunity to have dialogue with him similar to how Loki spoke with Mobius in interrogation before he was supposed to be pruned. Given what has now taken place, Ravonna believes what that “Variant Kang” told her and she is now off to find that version or an earlier version of him that has not been pruned. I believe that’s what she meant when she said she was going to find free will. She was going to find the one that planted that seed in her thoughts especially now that it seems to be true. Of course none of this prior interaction has been revealed…. But I believe it will be when we see her again. And when we see her again she will be on the side of that Kang or a variation of Kang that she may mistakenly believe is the same one that planted that seed in her mind years ago on her TVA conquest. She will now be his partner and on the wrong side good and evil. All of the bad guys have had some type of female assistance in all of these movies. Even Loki 🤷🏽♂️
@Dutty Rock Reading and comprehension is the key to understanding.
@Dutty Rock Maybe you missed the part where he asked us to give our theories. (Ideas) Maybe you also missed the part where I said of course if this happened, “none of the prior interaction has been revealed”. Maybe you missed the thought that this is just a “what if” type of post… Maybe you missed the reading and comprehension part of class. I don’t know you personally to say either way, but either way go away! Have a great day.😀
I was so happy it was Kang or Immortus or whatever you call him, these shows and movies are always just 1 step away from bringing some crazy comic stuff that I was shocked to see they finally went with it.
"You're guaranteed to run into a Chad because that's where Chads come from..." cut to Smart Water ad with Pete Davidson 😮
My guess for the "see you soon" is that Kang knows that other variants of himself will show up and eventually face Sylvie, not that this is something that already happened and will once again.
Immortus John Connor'd himself by triggering Sylvie and forcing her to kill him. This is proven by the fact that the timeline begins to branch way before immortus gets stabbed meaning the branching started when Sylvie made up her mind to kill him, because characters present in the threshold write time on the timeline. But just like dr.strange did to tony in endgame immortus refused to tell Loki and Sylvie what would really happen because if he did it wouldn't have happened. Also he clearly verbally attacks and triggered Sylvie. "Sylvie! You really sure you can trust this guy?" / "Grow up, Sylvie! Grow up! Immortus was sent back by the council of kangs to ensure the multiversal war happens, which ensures immortus is created and sent back to watch and protect the timeline up to a certain point.(i.e. the threshold) to ensure his own creation as well as the creation of the other kangs.
Actually, it was inevitable. Immortus went through multiple scenarios and this was how everything ended. Sylvie kills him, the timeline goes to shit. This caused the nexus event as well. He never forced her to kill him. He knew this was gonna happen so he just kept trying to convince them why he shouldn't be killed
When traveling on a Mobius Strip you go around the same loop twice but on opposite sides before starting over to repeat the path - Immortus timeline(s) then Kang timeline(s) then repeat.
The loki show was so great. I cant believe i slept on it for so long
Just a theory : what if the camera was actually kang's (immortus) POV, that why he said that he saw everything!" Also I guess it's the reason why there were some "break in 4th wall" by sylvie because she should notice it (kang presents, but just ignored it.
Good idea
When did she break the fourth wall?
Pretty sure they wont be doing that again since they did it with wandavision. That will be boring
Truthfully, when I watched this version of Kang/Immortus, I kinda got the vibe that he didn't really wanna stop his Variants from rising. I think that was a lie. I think he sorta slips up when he talks about the Variant version of him that discovered the multiverse. He says it was a Variant of him, but then when he talks about Alioth, he has this anger/frustration as he explains that he weaponized and experimented on Alioth and that led to him specifically ending the Multiversal War almost like he was blamed for the whole event after finding other universes. I think that Immortus is Kang, it's just he's ruling at the absolute level. He goes from ruling a bunch of universes to ruling all of time, the people that exist, and the choices they make. Whether he's Kang or Immortus, he's still in control of everything. I also think this plays into the whole Variant idea as a whole. Lokis, for example, always wanna cause mischief. Kang Variants always want to conquer. Immortus was just the Kang that conquered all of the timelines (or the ones they knew of maybe?)
So HOLY CRAP this is deep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, now i remember why I love comics and most people just don't get it. Keep up the awesome content!!!
We just started this phase and we can already see how it’s gonna go and I’m hype
I find in interesting to consider how the 'Kang problem' would be resolved once and for all. The core issue is that we had a single kang who used evil means to prevent more evil versions of himself from existing. If you stop his evil, you get more kangs. If you try to get rid of the other kangs, it's presumed to be a fruitless effort. The dilemma is that there are now unlimited kangs, and they will always be reduced to a single evil kang who does too much collateral damage to preserve his uniqueness. We also have the ambiguity of what caused the branch at the lake, which is probably a missing part of the puzzle; without it, the TVA wouldn't have rescued the lokis, and there'd still be one kang. The actual solution is missing too many pieces, but I suspect that it either involves tuning the timeline into a stable loop that doesn't branch, or adjusts the parameters to prevent time travel to begin with. It's interesting to note that the 'sacred timeline' can be literally seen outside, forms a ring, and that the palace exists outside of it.
I'm pretty sure I see Mephisto in Doug's eyes.
What nobody has talked about is when Immortus is explaining his story to Loki and Sylvie and you see all those Kangs along with the rest charges, and pruning rods is you also see what Kangs MCU suit looks like as all the Variants are wearing one. Take another look and you’ll see it. I’m amazed no one has picked up on that.
I think perhaps the TVA already existed under the control of a group of (4? 3 in the TVA and He Who Remains at the end of time?) timekeepers and was toppled by Kang at some point. He then replaced the chamber keepers with animatronics and took over the position of he who remains. Since then he does everything in his power to make sure the loops continues because that keeps him in power over and over and for a very long time each time too.
I took "see you soon" to me the other versions of him not himself in a timeloop. Also do you have a video of your theory on Captain American and old Captain America? I always wanted to believe he was in the main mcu timeline all along because of the clues we were given (Peggy's photo of him, never showing her husband, etc) and felt it wouldn't have the same impact if old Cap was living in an alternate timeline. Hoping you can confirm this somehow.
Since he who remains already destroyed all of the other timelines, wouldn’t he just be the version of Kang the conquerer that already won the multiverse war? I’m excited to see your time loop theory, because that’s been my impression since I saw the finale- I think he who remains didn’t understand the gravity or loneliness of watching over a timeline for all eternity and desperately wants someone to break the cycle and stop him from becoming Kang.
I appreciate you verbalizing this so well...I've been sitting here thinking of the story of Kang through a few lenses... The evolution of the current MCU timeline with the existence of time travel, which i imagine creates a whirlwind of good and bad characters seeking to gain access to the tech - or perhaps one of our beloved characters 'turning heel' to travel time....with the main team fighting to ultimately destroy/bury the time travel tech (which only Stark's brilliance can create wink wink), and then it's rediscovered or resurrected by Kang, who then creates a multiversal impact of travelling thru (enabling variants to do the same) and the eventual Kang storyline of multiple Kangs leads to major stories (multiversal war for dominance) ending in the Kang we see in Loki... And the suffering perhaps of this good Kang who is willing to finally die and let it all play out again for the future benefit of another Kang variant (not actually himself) who he believes which eventually overcome and the cycle continue. I'm super excited about the possibility of Awesome Character super teams that bring famous actor variants and even better, "Tom Holland-awesome" new versions of beloved characters like X Men which could have it's own dynasty (selected because I'm particularly excited about them specifically).
Yes
Missed one that I noticed a bunch and was one of the reasons I was certain it was Kang. The amount of purple tinge throughout the show. Lamentis was all purple, and the whole show was filled with purple colouring. Like y'all I noticed the middle keeper as the focal point throughout and that was probably the biggest one for me.
The animation sequences were a nice touch. Each time, I'm thinking "that looks like Jonathan majors". Ravonna could've went to the same location Loki ended up. Kang/immortus/he who remains is the CEO.. but he needs someone to oversee the day 2 day. Bring Ravonna in, tell her the truth, and let her run things. Could give her insight on each variant & who to recruit since the mission may have changed.. She doesn't want the tva to end, she needed to find the truth
Maybe it was Janet Van Dyne who started the time loop. The first person we know who got stuck in the Quantum Realm.

now we understand why Loki remained the last show on the schedule. Loki is a must-watch bc of what happens in his show. The heroes are likely going to try to restore a main timeline but this new timeline will likely have mutants and ff4 when they restore a main timeline.
Or because they like storyboarding a story so people can enjoy it if they havnt read the comics and can slowly transition into being a part of a multimedia multiverse where eventually everything is cannon and they can add more shows more heros or just eventually have someone just show up and not even explain anything just have them help leave and have people commenting on how _____ hero worked with or _____ Villain is now moving or working with known superbad.

actually i would keep the young avengers like this the main roster will be the 4 teenagers/ young adult and kid loki, and wandas chidlren are little kids who pop in from time to time.
Just no, Wiccan and Speed need to age up, especially considering that Hulkling is probably coming in Secret Invasion and his romance with Wiccan is a must. What you suggest would not sit very well with either Young Avengers fans nor the LGBT community. Basically keeping him as a child would be just an excuse to not have his gay romance with Teddy. And it's not just those two, Speed have a relationship with Kate Bishop in the comics and if he remain a kid in the MCU that romance is gone. Keeping Wiccan and Speed would ruin the characters, their romances and their story-arcs in general, because in all their comic stories they are teenagers.
Keeping Wiccan and Speed kids and all other Young Avengers teenagers ? No thank you. It would destroy a lot of things about their characters (especially Billy).
What you are proposing.......let's just say I don't see Marvel fans taking it too well......not to mention the LGBT community. It's just not a good idea for a lot of reasons.
Keeping Wiccan and Speed as kids would be a very bad move for Marvel, especially Wiccan. There a a lot of fans both straight and gay that want to see him and Hulkling together in the MCU. If Marvel keep Billy as a kid there will be a riot, Marvel and Disney will be attack by everyone on the socials and I could see a lot of people deleting their Disney+ account. Basically, it will be a storm that Marvel and Disney definitely want to avoid.

The time loop thing does not need to be caused by anyone, but would in effect, be a *feature* of the MCU, based on how they have depicted time travel. So, since you can travel to any point in time, that means that all time is always happening, in a higher dimension of time (the TVA), where 'time' is also occuring. In addition, it can be assumed that the MCU has a beginning of the universe, (or a new period, ala a big bang), and an end. The end and beginning states would be effectively the same, creating a loop, for all intents and purposes. The song is over, but there is nothing else to play, so you just put it on repeat. Since time is cyclical in this way, that means that this scene WILL happen again, and through some other means, a different outcome could happen that could reverse everything. Or maybe it would just create a closed off loop that is inaccessible from the rest of the multiverse.
If you go to Disney+ Marvel Studios Assembled, Tom Hiddleston TELLS YOU that 'He who remains' is another version of Kang.
What version of Kang can be worse than He Who Remains that destroyed all other timelines during the war just to have peace in a single timeline where there is a lot of constant conflict anyway (thanos, wars etc)? That's like saying it would be a good idea to nuke all the countries but one during a world war just to have peace. "Pure of heart" my ass.
I was thinking the same, I guess is similar of USA nuking Japan... it was for a greater good? Gosh he just killed trillions^trillions of lives.
@@thecrazylooser7 yeah. He basically achieved what all the other "evil" ones were aiming for. Except they wanted to rule over other timelines. Not destroy them. What He Who Remains did was way worse. The worst case scenario actually.
AGAIN, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SIMILARITY BETWEEN THE MIDDLE TIMEKEEPER AND Jonathan Majors
Nice vid, Kang Gang
I don't think it implies a time loop at all. It seems pretty clear that Sylvie will soon be seeing the Evil Kang that he has been referring to.
