Watching this video, there is nothing that I personally didn't fulfill as a former Army Paratrooper and Ranger. I completed jump school, pathfinder training, Recondo/Raider training, Jungle Expert training, Jumpmaster training, Freefall training, Demolition Training and Ranger training while State side. In the Republic of Viet Nam from 1968 - 1971, I completed LRRP training and 75th Ranger training and served as a LRRP from 1968 -1969 and as a 75th Ranger from late 1969 through September of 1971. That was over 50 plus years ago and remains part of who I am today at age 77. Cheers,
Fuck yeah, thank you from the bottom of my heart! You are what makes America Great!

Seeing soldiers around the world is inspiring with nobility and honor. It's corrupt governments that force our paths to cross, while they themselves never see the battlefield. Soldiers need to understand this reality and decide what is real honor?
PLEASE DON'T CALL SEALS SOLDIERS 😡
Reality, is you being able to write and say what you feel like saying, Reality, the men that lay six feet underground that taught and gave their lives so you can. Reality. You have never been nor will you ever be a warrior willing to die for what you believe in. Warriors I serve with know exactly why they put on the uniform. Don't get it twisted. HooYah.
@@danlambert1061what we calling them? Astronauts?
Absolutely! All respect and admiration to our soldiers. It's the shot callers I don't trust. Especially when none of them or theirs are in the line of fire. And we can't use our "forces" against the criminal elements in this country(Posse Comitatus), but let's set them against law abiding citizens.
Me breaching through a window during a high-threat operation: “I’m Spider-Man, weeeee!”
This stuff is fun and exiting when you’re a kid. As a 76 year old former spec ops military man… I have two knee replacements, two hip replacements, a plate in my back, a bolt in my right ankle. I am 75% deaf from gunfire. My lungs and heart are shot due to exposure to agent orange. I have a total of about 36 inches of scars on my body… and one testicle.
I would like to say "Thank you for your service," but that seems totally inadequate for what you have done. Please know that you are respected and appreciated. 👍
You are a badass, I wish I had a role model like you growing up, perhaps I would've been a much better man
You sir literally gave up your body in service to your country. I sincerely hope that it was reciprocated… Not that you were expecting to when you signed up.
So sorry you've had to deal with that misery and especially the agent orange. At the very least, Thank you for your service, sir! You are a true hero and a badass!

Random Navy SEAL trainer: Look to the person to your left. Now look to the person to your right. Some of you will not make it to the end of this training session.
When one does an 'Australian Crawl' (i.e., inverted abseil) one of the first things you concern yourself with is the 'tag' end (the end that goes out of the carabiner and falls down to the belay/ground. ). Primarily, this allows you -- the 'assaulter' to not show up with what should fairly well be a train-horn and megaphone arrangement -- disclosing that: YES! You ARE going to rappel in and 'We are here, here we come!' There is a method where you don't immediately invert the bottom end of the belay and thus 'lock up' the rope in the braking rig. Rather, you keep the rope out of sight and with you -- thus not hinting ANYTHING to anyone when you make the assault. As well, as explained to me, the 'Australian Crawl' was a technique used by (first?) Australian Soldiers in WWII to assault Japanese force on sheer or very steep rock faces/cliffs. Without disclosing yourself, you could go over the edge, from the top-down, either spray bullets, gas etc., or throw in grenades and/or demolitions at cave face openings. One of the ways that it was known that you 'didn't announce' things -- by keeping the extra tag-end of rope one or about your person, was to find out that a 300 foot cliff face, and you are at about 200 feet (or so -- doesn't really matter in this instance), your tag-end falls down and the enemy just simply cuts it. You HAVE to stay out there EXPOSED on the cliff face because if you try to scramble down farther on down the line, the rope pulls through and you take a LITERAL header -- about almost guaranteed to die, BTW. You *might* be able to use various abseiling rescue techniques that might get you down to the ground -- SAFELY, but when you are having to avoid being shot by a Type 99 weapon, that kind narrows down time (and the like).
I can go down aussie but me no likey

The bed of nails trick is actually simple physics. If you have your weight distributed over enough points of contact under your torso, the nail bed becomes like any other flat surface and the nails won’t puncture.
Many of the impressive tricks are filled to those of us that I’m understand physics. Just like the breaking bricks and boards. But I’m still not gonna do it. Lol
@@OpenCarryUSMC oh, I’m not saying laying on the nail bed is pleasant or comfortable. Just that it doesn’t kill you lol.
In Royal Marine recruit training we had to do those helo dunker drills in a purpose built facility - indoors and with the lights off so it was pitch black as the fuselage fills up with water, turns upside down and you all have to scramble out or a tiny window with no breathing apparatus or goggles...not for the faint of heart!

Apparently the delta forces were training with the S A S and put a sign up " second to none " The S AS put a sign up saying " none "
It was DJ Shipley who told that story. It was SEALs
As a regular US Army infantryman, we practiced entering a second or third story window this way to clear a building. Since I was the lightest one in the squad, guess who got the honor of going first with the pole. We did 13 takes of this for a Dutch TV crew in Hammelburg, West Germany.
I love the special forces of any kind.
I’m a plain civilian. But I passed that underwater helicopter egress training during offshore oil rig duty. I survived 😊
Nice
wait.... underwater helicopters are a thing?
@@Smokey420GreenleafHa ha. It’s a training to escape from helicopter which has been ditched on water (not crashed). Usually helicopter overturns in that situation - floating for about 10 minutes upside down. We, the passengers have to remove our seat belts, open the windows and wiggle out through them and correctly determine the direction of the water surface and float towards it. All these, while holding breath and fighting panic.
As a now, and grateful USMC Veteran... "Military Training" in some countries seems more like regimented sadomasochism. Still, placing yourself in harm's way for what you Love is worthy of respect. Semper fi
Wish I could post pics of my father here ….it reminds me of training with him in the early 90’s with exception of air and water activities lol 😂
Been to ECM training. -44C and -44F are the same. We were at -60F with the wind chill… but thank god we were fully kitted up. We had a day at 27F and were running around in T shirts though.
I just have one question, for the thumbnail, why'd you put a buff bodybuilder and a GSG 9 operator facing each other? you could've taken more intimidating ops like those of the SAS or smth, but either way, it conveys the message lol nice video I loved it

I'm just a puss who fell into that narrow window where you did not even have to register with Selective Service. Had an appt. to the US Naval Academy, but chickened-out. I'm just glad that these guys are out there protecting us. I did have a productive, although practically non-physical career as a nuclear engineer, but with the navy thing, am glad that I paid for my own college degree. A lot of the training most of these units go through is impressive but one thing that the U.S., Colombian, and a few other units have is real-time consistent experience. So you can lay on a bed of nails and have concrete broken over your body. When was the last time you’ve been in combat?
A valid point. My last (and second) combat involvement was over 15 years ago in Afghanistan. None of the opponents carried a bed of nails with them. I've crouched over and through anything imaginable, but nothing resembled a bed of nails. I've mastered nearly every training course/exercise you can think of, but have never lain on a bed of nails. Keep in mind most of the these clips and pictures are basically advertisement, to show off with troop performance for your own people, other countries and especially potential recruits. They present what you can achieve and endure with the right training, but it's _not_ training itself. It depicts a possible outcome in a entertaining, publicly effective and maybe stimulating (or daunting) manner.
SAS is 1 no debate
The first and the best.
In 1962 or 63, the son of our families, closest friends was selected and volunteered for a new unit in the Navy. He became one of the early navy seals. To say the lease was very proud of this young man.

Its interesting how the special forces for more authoritarian countries focus more on doing stuff for show, stuff thats meant to suck just because it sucks, not because it actually teaches them anything

who ever called them intelligent? this is news to me! 🤣
All of that ridiculous showing off by Korean SF breaking boards and concrete doesn't necessarily mean ultimate stamina and longevity toughness , nor does it make them bullet proof ! The US Navy SEALs and Army Green Berets based their recruitment and their training originally on the British SAS , and more recently the Australian SASR (Special Air Service Regiment) as the Australian SASR training regime involves the totality of ground , mountain and maritime special ops as Australia has no Marine corps. The selection process starts with a general special forces selection course which candidates then move on to either selection processes for 2nd Commando Reg. , Special Operations Engineers Reg. or the the top tier SASR .
Green Berets Training is way different from SAS
@@SJW7 Probably right . I think it is the US Army Delta Force that based its system on SAS.
