The White House is one of the most secure places in the world. It’s up there with Fort Knox, The Vatican Secret Archives, and maybe even Area 51! Which makes sense seeing as how it's home to one of the most important people in the world along with their family and staff. Nothing moves without the entire security team knowing about it. And as we’ve made technological advances and the world has, at moments, felt less safe, security has only gotten tighter and more high-tech. So join us for today’s video, where we look at the top 15 White House security features!

  • 20 years ago, myself and an old friend were on a self-tour of the Vatican, its museums, and contents etc. Nearing the end of our day we got a little lost and found ourselves through an open door and up a small narrow staircase (knowingly both saying " this cannot be the way towards the main route'). Finally we came to another 'unlocked' door which we went through and found ourselves on the Vatican roof looking at all of the apostles /saints statues which line it close up and looking down at the thousands of tourists in St.Peters square!. Once we realised we were obviously in a 'no go area' we quickly found our way back to the main route!. This just proves the lack of security in such important buildings and the risk if given to someone with bad intent.

  • What a scary job... the picture at 9:14 is wild Edit: also, I find it hilarious that the drone that landed on the white house property, set off the alarms, and made them re-up their security was driven by an employee at the end of his shift just playing with his new toy. My first thought was "that guy is getting fired", but keeping his job makes sense considering they found a weakness in their security thanks to that drone. Hell, I'd give him a bonus for his fuck up.

Last mont I was at a big european music festival. I ended up backstage at the VIP area with all the performers and journalists... How? -I litterally just waited around the VIP entrance, and when I saw a moment of confusion at the security checkpoint I just started walking with a purpose, slid past the occupied crowd with a polite but a vit stressed "Excuse me I gotta get through here" and some orange vest stepped aside and let me through without checking anything. I never gave him an opening to stop me as I kept in motion... Walked on straight through and mingled in the crowd... And thats how I got access to a free bar and meeting some celbrities... 🤣 -Good thing I wasn't a menace or security risk! 😉

On the left side they have another entrance which I watched a dog alert to a suv only for them to pass it right through after 20 seconds without inspection, they have the dogs trained to alert to every vehicle just incase they need to search lol. As in, by the time some particular threat, say a jet or missile at a mile out, wouldn’t it be to late?

    @OVRxNxOUT@OVRxNxOUT Жыл бұрын
    • There's a 30 mile zone for that centered on Reagan Airport. No faster than 200 kts. As you get closer the more restrictive it is. 10 miles out you have to be cleared and go directly to one of the Washington-3. The 3 airports within the 10 mile range. Clearance isn't guaranteed. We've had some top highly cleared individuals try to get their credentials and they had to go through the same old red tape everyone else did.

    • @@hewhohasnoidentity4377 You act as if those things happened last week. The Huey was in the 1970s, the cessna when Bill Clinton was president. Decades ago. After 9/11/2001 a LOT of things changed. Including the airspace around Washington DC. It used to be pilots could fly over Washington. In fact a lot of small airports in the area used to have a Washington tour and it was amazing. Washington is a beautiful city. No more. They watch any aircraft near Washington like a hawk watching prey. Automatic alarms will sound. So if you're over the speed limit they're going to contact you and I know some guys that were in trouble for that. 200 kts is slow for some aircraft. If you don't respond they're going to start initiating intercept and shoot down procedures. Occasionally a Cessna has wandered into that airspace and they were right on them pointing live machine guns at them. They forced them to an airport and pointed a lot of guns at them. The response was as if he were public enemy #1. A cessna is really not a threat. In fact the one that hit the white house they effectively took a dust pan, scooped it in and hauled it away. I don't think it even harmed the building. It didn't even wake Bill Clinton. They had a nut ball a few years ago fly down the potomac and made it to the Capital. Again, very small aircraft. It was just enough for one man to fly. His radar signature was about the size of a flock of geese. They threw the book at him as well. They change security as times change. In WWII they had AAA mounted on government buildings. In fact one day a worker was messing with a gun on one of the buildings during lunch and it fired. The shell hit the Lincoln Memorial. After the war they were all removed. Right now I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they're ready to go 24X7. Any time, any weather, any situation.
