  • As a diehard TMac fan when I was younger, I disliked Kobe. But then as years went by, I couldn’t help but to respect him and acknowledge him as one of the greatest who ever played. It is so hard to believe that he passed away in this fashion, before he even made the hall of fame. May Kobe and his daughter GiGi Rest In Peace. I shall be forever inspired by his Mamba mentality.

    @lllcraiglll@lllcraiglll4 жыл бұрын
    • I feel the same way bro. I loved TMac as a youngn & hated Kobe b/c he was his rival more than anyone else. I always respected his game no matter how much I didn't like him but as he showed more of his personality the older he got I began to like him too to the point where I was rooting for him his last couple seasons & was pissed when they let him play 40 + min a game & he tore his Achilles b/c I knew he'd never be our Mamba again. Being from philly with him & his daughter dying like that has the whole city feeling empty

    • I wouldn't say I hated Kobe but I was like naw Tmac better. I was a Grant Hill fan more than anything I saw a few games were Tmac played in his rookie and sophomore season and said this dude is going to be problem if he gets to shine. Them both landing in Orlando and Grant being out I was like time for the Tmac show and he did not disappoint.

  • Kobe was spot on with Harden "he'll never win a championship with that style of play". And he was speaking from personal experience. When he was young he tried to do it all and kept coming up short, but it wasn't until he embraced his dynamic with Shaq that the titles started coming in He also predicted correctly how Lebron could still continue playing for years to come. Brilliant basketball mind

    • He couldnt play the game that he loves, all the moves, joy n pride winning championship, passing defenders n scoring. Watching the game wouldnt cut it. So yea good for him to find other love.

  • I'm from the Old School Ballers loving my NY Knicks coming from the Bronx NY and other basketball players: Kenneth "The Jet" Smith, Bernard King, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Larry Bird, Clyde Frazier, Willis Reed etc. During the New School era I loved Grant Hill, Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady and Allen Iverson. They were my favorites. Kobe was an intense hard working baller. Loved this interview.

  • This really was a great interview. Had me smiling throughout. You can tell that they had immense respect for each other despite the fact that they were opponents. Sportsmanship like this is hard to come by these days. Hats off to these men.

    • As fierce opponents you get genuine sportsmanship. Now I don’t hate it but, it seem like everyone now is obligated to show sportsmanship. It’s not as genuine

  • I miss Kobe so much. It's devastating to Even think he's gone. He was my favourite, growing up, and as I grew, seeing him mature from the dynamite teenager, to the legendary playmaker he went on to become, my respect only grew. Buzzer beaters, killer plays, 81 points, comeback from a Achilles tear, the man is basically unbelievable. He was my inspiration on the court, like no one else ever was. I even had number 8 on my jersey, as a player on my high school team. It's just beyond words how much he meant to us. Kobe. The best in my books, then, now and always. Rest in peace, my hero.
