  • I’m 30 and grew up in the 90s with the pain of being a uga fan, right with my Dad. He always told me he was cursed and couldn’t watch the games because he felt he made them lose. He swore he would never see them pull a natty. He passed away early 2021, and watching this team all year I just knew it was their time to win it all. I would trade it all to have my dad back, but I’m sure he wouldn’t. He loved the dawgs and I’m sure he is celebrating somewhere

    • LOL. GA waits 40 yrs to earn a tainted NC and GA fans will always have to defend the 1-1 split with Bama esp when the CFP tweaks the sys so it can never happen again. One major reason the BCS went belly up was because of the LSU/Bama rematch. Nobody believed Bama belonged regardless of the LSU no show in game 2. And. Since when does a 1-1 split choose the champion in any legit sport. A 1-1 split and only 1 game in between the split. NCAA basketball would have at least 8 games in between that happening. 64 to 1 for both teams. Serena owns a 23-10 in grand slams. She is 1 match away from tying the all time leader, Margaret Court. In 6 of the 23 wins, she had to go to the 3rd set because she lost the 2nd set. In 1 of the 10 losses, she won the 2nd set after losing the 1st. Translation: using the GA/AL scenario (2nd winner wins it all) her grand slam record changes to 17-9. Clearly, she has benefitted from a 2 out of 3 format. Now apply that to all the matches that occur before the final and her record is probably not close to what it is now. For one she would have not been in 33 finales. Poor GA!

  • I'm 52 and I was at the Sugar Bowl in 1982 when we lost to Penn State. I thought we had it in 2018 vs Bama until the gut punch at the very end. Arguably the toughest loss I've experienced in my life because it was in touching distance then ripped away. I'm so glad we got a second shot at winning the title vs Bama because, in order to clearly be the best, you must beat the best. This feels so good right now. GO DAWGS!

    • I understand your point, and I am not arguing against Alabama being the undisputed best team in college football year in and year out, but if you make the CFP, it doesn't matter who you play against, as they are the best four teams in the country, meaning you will always beat the best if you win the title. If it had been Cincy that had miraculously beaten Alabama, you still would have beaten the best. When you beat Michigan, you beat the best.

I knew he could make huge plays (he's already done that throughout the season). People kept saying "Put JT in, etc". But what they didn't understand is that as good as JT is, he's taken a few snaps since being hurt (look at how rusty he was during the Tech game). Stetson was the best QB on the team on that night. So proud of that dude. He didn't listen to the BS from everyone, tuned them out, kept up his confidence and did it. The Dawg nation (and many others) owes him some big apologies.
