broken noses, split lips, facial damage, eye damage possibly, its just a bloody painful sport. A extremely aggressive boxer or wild punch can cause serious harm.
It's not the fight -- it's all the sparring
People take punishment sparring badly
Super RaH NATION what ? My local gym has had 4 sparring deaths alone.. but sparring is where long term damage happens. Most punishment is done at the gym with “gym wars”. Studies have even showed head gear can cause more brain shaking when being hit. Educate yourself.
@@benny9589 you mean headgear more make badly cause?
@@benny9589 Death?! Like someone just dies on the canvas and you call the ambulance?
@@godowskyfier brain bleeds. The person collpased after the fact and goes into a coma from brain bleeding, very serious and sometimes fatal.
Blood to the lungs, damage to the eyes, getting your liver destroyed, there are so many injuries that come from this brutal sport, but the only thing that I care about is the damage that's permanent: the brain damage. That is the only thing that has convinced me that boxing is not worth it. Other than that I would gladly do boxing, the thrill and discipline is awesome. Guys I made this comment almost a year ago. My mindset has now changed, so please don’t comment telling me to train without sparring lol. And also, thanks for all the likes guys!
Boxing is definitely worth it. It doesnt just disipline you. It teaches you to be calm under pressure, humility, confidence, various health and muscle benefits, and more. (cant name everything off top of my head) But youre right. If you worry about being hurt, boxing isnt for you. Its not for everyone.
@@baconheadhair6938 that is why I just train I don't fight
@@baconheadhair6938 But still a professional boxer is fighting for the sake of entertainment. The thing about boxing is that it has lot of constraints and limits in the real word where there are no such rules most martial arts are futile but entertaining none the less
@@user-li4ju9qk5w, yes, train for the nice workout of it and for the self defense
@@grootguy890a street fighter stands no chance against anyone who practices a martial art like muaythai, wrestling/sambo, kick boxing, bjj, kickboxing or boxing
That’s why it’s better to just take the training for the excercise and self defense not for the competition.
No sparing you just wasting your time
@@michaelzero5278 , good
Exactly! However by now he does not have the intelligence to realize this.
@@cljoe35 , oh well he’s still young
@@michaelzero5278 nah you can still do sparrs and light sparring and do it safely no need to fight like we are in madison square garden
Human body is immune and strong But definitely not the brain it is the achilles angle The central weak point of human body
Sparring is the issue, the problem is unless you spar you never gain the instincts of being in a fight. Especially when you get hit.
its like rocky even though sylvester stlalome wasnt really fighting and punching it messes you up in the head after a while and being knocked out so many times punches to the jaw, boxing gives you brain damage kind of makes you slow maybe or just that your brain cant function like it used to normally before you started this sport of boxing
I thought I was gonna be a boxer but I changed my mind Idc about myself but if I die my family might get traumatized Ill still do padwork and light sparring
Same here lol
*I boxed for 14 years and had 46 fights in the amateurs. My record 42-4. When I retired from the game at 28 yrs old. I later went onto graduate with BSN Nursing degree at California State University. While in my early 40's. It would appear boxing knocked some sense into my brain thought process. Not the opposite lol Honestly I see more injuries in football and wrestling early deaths high mortality rates*
Yeah I feel like two guys hitting exchother with their whole weight at a dead sprint would be worse
@@kevinmurphy5878 Exactly 💯
So no damage or secuels?
@@juanagustinjuannaz6143 Fractured ribs, nose broken 3x and fractured left hand. Two flash knock-downs but never knocked-out
Its more to do with pro boxing, in amateurs it's more about points and your probably really light when you were fighing
It doesn't matter I still love boxing.
Why would you waste your life away? Wouldn't it be better to continue boxing without the brain damage? For example light/technical sparring or conditioning. Damn.
ur not gonna be successful through light sparring.
Rudy Rizza what kind of success are we talking about
amatuer success, professional success... just becoming a better well rounded boxer. its hard to refine skills if u r limited in sparring. its a sacrifice boxers must make to fullfil their love for the sport
Rudy Rizza I see your point. I'm not discouraging anyone to not do boxing but if you really like boxing I don't understand why anyone would risk their brain in pro matches. Doing a couple times of hard sparring may decrease your chances of severe injury but even that is still not enough.
I've been boxing 13 years and i want to compete in 100 pro fights and retire healthy.
Freestyle wrestling or boxing Which is more dangerous
I suppose what might be considered a. “Moot” point or even counter cultural is to question what part of the human psyche is enthralled by combat sports. I give great respect to the athleticism and conditioning of a boxer or MMA fighter but let’s be honest. These men and women wouldn’t be in the ring if there were not a wiling audience to view the carnage. For truth in advertising, I. Lost my son at 22 so when i see young men and women wading into combat sports the first thought I have is that God gave you such a beautifully strong body; please don’t destroy your life for such a fleeting victory.
I love this Sport but its damn dangerous
Same
The answer is not to stop combat. Need to find aways to making it safe. The show goes on.
There’s times where you can’t avoid a fight and one punch can change it all. So having the training and experience can help you.
I wonder if the guys in the Cleveland Clinic found something out eventually?
This doesn’t discourage me one bit. Take a look at the world around you and see there’s no safe way out. Wanna play it safe and just hit baseballs? Might end up like Lou Gehrig. Wanna just entertain and be in movies? Might end up like Michael J Fox or Chadwick Boseman. No path is safe, all of our clocks will run out eventually. On the bright side, you can still get all the thrill and excitement of boxing with just bag and mitt work. It’s much less likely to get a hernia or torn ACL .Get a good sparing partner who’s not out to put you in the hospital. As men we crave and are bred for combat, this is the best way to get it out of our system.
None of those things are comparable to combat sports. The intention is to beat your opponent by striking and kicking them. That’s not the objective in baseball or acting in a movie. Fox’s Parkinson’s and Boseman’s cancer were not caused by acting.
@@ralex3531he thought had a point lol
U can’t make the sport “safer”it’s the most violent sport ever
But you def can
Fights, fights , fights! What about sparing?
damage to ear drums even with headgear....
Headgear does nothing. Only prevents cuts.
@@nyquiloxide941 i think it reduces vibrations that reaches the head, therefore reducing damage

Combat sports have never been safer. Boxing or mma are not violent but aggresive.
What it is not violent? Bro you ar delusional
@@alivm2531 I might be delusional...but you are an ignorant that doesn't understand the difference between violence and aggressiveness.
@@NormanLy101 The definition of violence is to physically harm another person. I love martial arts, but it is violence when competing/applying.
@@Vincent.Wilson Exactly. In violence the intent is to harm. In combat sports you could get harmed....but it is regulated. That's why it is not violence.
