Welcome to the Grand Pa Roger Federer school, where he gave 5 next gen players a tennis lesson!
Dominic Thiem, Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Francis Tiafoe...
Players nearly have his age had no answer to the Swiss maestro's genius, and his brutal attacking display.
What would happen if Carlos Alcaraz, or Jannik Sinner played Roger?
Thank you, Roger for everything you've done for tennis.

    • @@alexanderwinzer2602 his 20 gs was against a lot tougher opponents that dojo won with. he transitioned the transition of technology. think about it, he was winning against agassi and sampras. and he beat all the gen after them. tennis technology was different back then. he adopted to a change in surface that was advantageous to his game. he beat the next gen consistently. and he was still beating the current gen when his body finally gave in. if that is not amazing, I don't know what is.

  • All that debate about most number slams or what not... The amount of skill that is needed to play this kind of tennis has only been achieved by one person ever. Where Novak and Rafa try to play the most solid tennis and watch their opponents make unforced errors, Federer goes out to actively create winners to finish rallies, some taking multiple steps to set up. Sure he doesn't get bonus points for doing it the hard way, but it sure is a lot more entertaining and respected.

Players like Berdych and Ferrer for example, were in top 10 for many many years without fumbling, even Tsonga who was a bit less consistent, was still playing well for the majority of the year. The top 10 is always changing, in the 2000s the top 10 was always pretty much the same.

In first 3 years of the 2020s (2021-2023) there were 14 different players. So even in that regard things are more stable now. But let's look at it.. . Djokovic was beating 26 year OLD Federer at the Australian Open. Federer could never beat Djokovic at the Australian open again. Fed won 1 set TOTAL in 4 matches Djokovic beats just turned 29 year OLD Federer at the US open in 2010. Federer could never beat Djokovic at the US open again. Also destroys Zverev on that indoor grass court in Halla to win it for the 95h time. People don't realize how by tennis slowing down ALL the surfaces and the balls it reality fucked Federer. They wanted to make it more competitive and it worked. It wasn't until they slowed it down that Djokovich and Nadal got any foothold outside of Nadal on clay. ON FAST courts Federer is nearly unbeatable even against Nadal and Djokovich. On INDOOR fast courts he blows them out the water so bad they literally had to change the courts and balls lol

Same 3- Zero as at Wimbledon title finals. Federer lost to David "0 masters titles" Goffin in the ATP Finals semi with a lay-up final vs flaky Dimitrov waiting. Djokovic at an older age beat Alcaraz and Sinner back to back for the the ATP Finals title for a record 7th win. Sinner would chew up and spit out 2017 Goffin for breakfast. And of course talking about Zverev, he beat Federer 4-3 in the head to head including beating Federer at Halle, Shanghai, ATP Finals... Halle was truly the land of pigeons for Federer - across his 10 titles he beat a grand total of 1 single Top 10 ranked player. Bublik beat 2 Top 10 players on his way to the title in 2023 😂

Most these days develop as hard hitting baseliners. If Alcaraz had a SHBH he would have been the closest to Federer's creative all court game but even he never serve volleys like Federer would in the right situation or surface.
