What are your thoughts on the Baylor's win over Gonzaga?
Game was ova when Baylor was up 9-1. Otherwise game was a snore fest and snooze 🥱🥱🥱😴😴😴!!! Zags & Few are a joke and overrated!!!
It went exactly as I thought it would go! Baylor was way too skilled. Baylor has a starting 8
AMAZING win over Gonzaga, extremely proud to be a Baylor Bear. I'm extremely happy that we were able to bring home the title but I'm a little sad about the story this year could have been. Hear me out: Baylor and Gonzaga were head and shoulders above the rest of the competition the entire year leading up to February. Had it not been for a 3 week COVID pause I truly believe that it would have been likely that we would have seen 2 undefeated teams in the final. After the pause the Bears were obviously and understandably rusty. They literally did not play a game or have a single practice for 3 WEEKS. Had they not halted all team activities I don't think they would have lost a game. Imagine having the 2 undisputed, undefeated and unchallenged best teams in the country playing for all the marbles. 2 undefeated teams going into the final, only 1 team leaving undefeated and being the first to do so since 1975!!! You couldnt write a better story if you tried. It was an amazing game and once again I'm extremely happy for my Bears but I'm sad about what could have been. Sic'em Bears!
@@alwin7086 - Well said. We will never know, but you could be exactly right, 2 undefeated teams in the finals.
Baylor would've won the title last season had the tournament been played.
Everyone got caught up in the Gonzaga vs UCLA, OT/Game winner and basically forgot that earlier that day Baylor completely man handled a #2 seeded Houston team
Exactly! Gonzaga went into overtime with the 11th seed UCLA. Baylor ain't UCLA. Obviously lol.
And Houston was actually really good
My razorbacks played a better game against Baylor then Houston and Gonzaga
Yeah pretty much. After that I went to the casino to put money on Baylor. I initially had Houston winning it but after seeing them get destroyed, I knew Baylor was gonna whoop Gonzaga.
Yeah
Shannon gonna owe Skip a whole grocery store of mountain dew at this point 😂
Lol facts... he said he was down 15 cases yesterday!!!
Skip always gets cases off Brady lol. That's what keeps him ahead.
Lol uncle Shannon will catch up when the cowboys don’t win the division again.
@@Mrjonezzz lol facts, but they never win.
@@kingcollins3965 😂😂but skip keeps betting on them. It’s the definition of insanity.
6:40 "timme and krispert look like two guys in headbands at the Y trying to get in the game" LMAO
Lmao
Skip lowkey hilarious and savage LOL
If you didn’t see this coming you had to be blind because Baylor was too aggressive for Gonzaga from the start
They beat the brakes off of them, from the tip!
I didn't want to count Gonzaga out, but I said if Baylor gets jump on them and limit Gonzaga's cutting, they'd win easily and we saw what had happened
I'm a huge Gonzaga fan and I was shocked they were 4.5 point favorites. Call me a traitor but I put money on Baylor plus the points haha
CAN YOU PLEASE TELL THEM THIS AGAIN!!!!
@@vincentjames7210 no u didnt
They outplayed them physically and mentally. Baylor made it look easy because of their understanding of the game and ability to execute the game plan
Really just better athletes
@@htownblack9184 That too
That Baylor team are something else. Glad they won as they showed true grit and champion pedigree throughout the tournament
@Roger Smith but you left a comment
@Roger Smith what was the point of your comment 😂 you fool
Now now guys E L E........Everybody Love Everybody
Baylor didn’t upset Gonzaga Baylor been the better team all year everybody just followed what the media was saying about Gonzaga being undefeated they hadn’t played a defense like Baylor all year
Exactly. If you watched the season, you saw who was better. Clearly better.
Still an "upset", betting upset, odds upset, 1 team undefeated 1 team not, upset
True but they were two #1 seeds and one was undefeated. So even though Baylor was better they still weren't the favorites, which means it was an upset.
If they had played in their original matchup on December 5 everyone would've known Baylor was the better team already.
"...hadn't played a defense like Baylor all year", yet Gonzaga shot 51% from the field last night. Without Baylor's hot shooting (45% from three and nearly 90% from the free throw line), Gonzaga wins the game.
Congrats to Baylor!!! Pure Domination!!!! That program has come a LONG way from that tragic incident within that program yrs back
Baylor got all Brothers on their starting five, and Shannon surprised😂
Exactly 🤷🏿
Right! Smh This game resembled the first unlv and duke game.
They reminded me of my Detroit Pistons when Chauncey and RIP played but on college level. Bunch of good players
That team put the clamps on everyone what a time when they pistons were watchable
@@TheCrzymofo94 Yeah it's too bad they could never get back to the Finals after their loss to the Spurs. That 2005 Finals was awesome and I wish the Pistons had made it back instead of Miami or Cleveland in the following years.
Appreciate Vital on the thumbnail. He was hustling
Vital was a beast on those boards. They need to talk about his contributions because he gave those guards opportunities to be stars in their roles. Vital definitely was a star. Huge props big guy. He went up against a 6"10 and a 6"7 and manhandled them. He was exceptional. Phagler was an excellent player and 3 point shooter. Mayer, Tchotchke, were just hyped and their enthusiasm was contagious. I've watched that game about 50 times. Baylor was simply, "The Best" "better than all the rest". Tina Turner...
Skip, I watched some highlights with Baylor and Arkansas. Baylor looked like a NBA team. Fast, strong and can hit threes, lights out. Was not surprised they beat Gonzaga.
Congrats Baylor
Gonzaga ran into some real Grown Men shocked them congratulations Baylor
That’s the whole truth!!
yep, outphysicaled them. Not shocking though, Gonzaga only played 5 or 6 real games during the season+tournament. Meanwhile Baylor's been battle tested all year
Credit to Baylor strength and condition coach
I started laughing when people said that “Gonzaga beat there best completion they will have, UCLA is the only good team besides them left” They clearly listened to only the media and didn’t watch Baylors game, they just have so much skill and can go on 10-0 runs without a blink
First time I actually 100% agree with Skip
Smokin on a Gonzaga pack Sic em Bears
No clue why everybody thought Gonzaga was gonna win. Baylor’s been the better team all year!
Leggo BAYLOR!
Yes
the few people saying "gonzaga was fatigue" FOH, baylor made them look fatigued. baylor man handled them. i laughed when the commentator said literally two mintues into the game "gonzaga looks fatigue from UCLA game" bruh they had 48 hours to rest
It's because everyone in the media wanted to see Gonzaga win. Baylor was disrespected all year. Gonzaga was 26-0 playing the WCC, where the only other tournament team was BYU lol. I understand that they had big wins against Kansas, West Virginia, Iowa, and Virginia, but those games happened back in Nov/Dec. They weren't challenged at all since. Baylor on the other hand played in the big 12 (Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas, West Virginia). Six tournament teams that they played against ALL season long, so they were constantly battle tested, and only lost 2 games after their 3 week COVID pause. Baylor should have been the HEAVY favourites coming into this.
@@jeremyevans5917 exactly this is what I’ve been telling people, the big 12 is arguably the hardest conference in the NCAA and Baylor came out with 2 losses(this is coming from a Kansas fan)
Cause if it goes to double OT UCLA WS GONNA WIN ANYWAY!!!!
Baylor winning last night won me my bracket pool. I believed in them all year. (My final four was Gonzaga, Alabama, Baylor, Houston)
I thought bama had the team to beat Gonzaga in the elite 8 but UCLA just had a better overtime
I couldn't predict UCLA, but I picked Gonzaga-Michigan and Baylor-Houston. Had Baylor beating Michigan in the final. I had Baylor winning it months ago, so I'm glad that worked out lol.
I picked Baylor vs. Gonzaga for the championship
Skip Bayless got the sniffles
BEAT DOWN!
I had the Zags winning. I knew that Baylor was good, but I didn't expect them to lockdown Gonzaga on that level. That was the key.
Kispert couldn’t guard an empty parking lot
Skip is on it this time
All I got to say is welcome to the Big 12 Play Gonzaga!!!
Lol I’m surprised no one knew about Baylor. I knew their defense was suffocating and rebounding was excellent when Shariffe Cooper was playing the best basketball in college and got absolutely clamped when he played Baylor earlier on in the season. I saw this coming before the game even started.
*their
@@lakersin556 lol thx I was just typing fast
Nah people knew including me. The ones who are surprised are the casuals or Gonzaga bandwagons.
WERE NATIONAL CHAMPSS BABY
As a BU grad, I'm a bit biased...I honestly believe that Gonzaga was one of the best teams of recent years. Sadly, for them, they ran into what may have been one of the ten best teams of all time. Just an opinion.
I knew Gonzaga was going to get exposed because when you haven't played anybody on your schedule sh** like this will happen
Exactly all they did was play D2 teams. Anyone with a Brain saw this coming. Smoking on that Fraudzaga Pack
@@thomassankara1391 basketball different bro... they have nba talent on that team, it was just a bad game.
It's just the fact they were undefeated with an extremely weak schedule. The Although impressive it wasn't like Kentucky. They were more on the level of Wichita State
@@DylanBlakeGolf no Baylor was just way better. It shouldn't have been an upset cause Baylor had more athletic players than them. My NBA comparison is the 2012 OKC Thunder vs the 2012 Dallas Mavericks. OKC had the athletes and the Mavs didn't. So OKC destroyed them with their pace. And physicality.
As a Houston fan the loss doesn’t feel as bad now
You weren’t even a Mickey Mouse team. Like all those double digit teams were underrated and they beat the higher rated seeds which you were able to beat.
Hey man, be proud of what your team did. Getting this high in the tournament which Houston hadn’t really done since Olajuwon.
Baylor was brutal! They were huge and always leaning and pushing on the Zags. I thought the game was ugly and reminded me of what I dislike about the men’s game!
Gonzaga didn't get exposed against Baylor...they got exposed against UCLA!! Baylor saw it and took advantage!! Lol 🤷🏾♂️💯
My Arkansas Razorbacks played Baylor much tougher than the Zags did so I'm proud of how good we did we'll be back next year!! 👌🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💯
i like how everyone who picked Gonzaga all of a sudden are saying that Gonzaga never stood a chance
Baylor was bigger ,stronger and faster
BU💚
This makes me what to hit the weight room
I rarely say this about this show, but excellent analysis on this game. Everything on point.
The game was over literally in the first 4 minutes.
Baylor was set on winning/dominating, just flat out determined. When all things are equal, determination is the deciding factor.
I don't think the Zags could have beat Houston either.
that Vital kid was a monster on boards!
Something tht stood out to me was the Baylor players kept their hands and feet movingbon defense. They overwhelmed Gonzaga!
Baylor ripped they hearts out
Timme was brutalized last night
If you want to show young kids how to play defense show them that Baylor game...... Outstanding defensive showing
As soon as I heard Stephen A. Smith pick them yesterday, I knew it was over for Gonzaga
Screaming A Smith is wrong nothing new here
Man, I saw Baylor games ago. I was like these dudes are aggressive, and PHYSICAL af. They crash the boards, hit 3s. The Zags will not have a chance!
This game was never even close, you could easily see the skill gap within minutes
Whole truth!!
Mark Vital did, indeed, end up playing as a TE in the NFL.
It was a very impressive performance by Baylor. Controlled the game right from the tip to the end.
Zags this year remind me of my pats in 07 😓
Suggs said he watched the UCLA game over and over again and was enamored at how so many of his sports heroes reached out to him... Big mistake! He should've stayed off social media and watched nothing but footage on them Baylors guards. Maybe then they would've had a chance
Hinesville
When skip says Hhhh,You know he’s prepared to talk
Bay was doubted and came out and CRUSHED em!! BIG 12 is the real deal , Sic'Em Bears
Skip: (Sniff - Sniff*)
"two guys who havent watched a college basketball game all year talk about college basketball"
The media wanted the coach of Gonzaga to finally win a championship as a non power 5 school.
everyone has used the term "buzz saw" to describe baylor. wow!
I called it. I knew Gonzaga wasn’t gonna be able to keep up with them dogs.
No you didn't
Congratulations, you're a genius
@@wgooetrik but I did
Anyone with a brain saw this coming. That pack hittin
Baylor recruited kid’s from a rougher realer environment where you grow up playing 21 no fouls street ball instead of suburban AAU rich kid basketball
The whole truth!!!!
Doesn't mean anything. Duke in the early 90's had mainly guys from the suburbs
@@chrisb1906 I mean the early 90s and now are 2 different levels of quality tho
@@evanmaguire2280 if u look at the nba now, there's more white guys in the nba now, and even alotta brothas that are on the nba now are from the suburbs. Many of the guys from the 90's nba, will have kids in the league in the up and coming years that grew up in the suburbs
@@chrisb1906 Yeah I get what you’re saying but Im meaning the competitive aspect has gotten much higher, especially with skills
That just happens when you don’t play anyone all year lol
yep, 30-0 or whatever but might as well have been 4-0, that's how many actual games they played
The homie Mark Vital in the thumbnail.
Men against boys........ Baylor straight up dominated from start to finish the game was won within the first 5 mins
I had Baylor winning from the beginning. Zags hadn’t really been challenged all year until UCLA
exactly. Gonzaga only played a few real games all year. Baylor's been banging all year against real teams
BYU played them well in the conference tournament
looked like two guys in headbands trying to get in a game at the Y. Im weak lmfao
Gonzaga was in this game right up through player introductions. Sic 'em, Bears!
So...... All of the people who were thinking Gonzaga a better team than 2009 UNC, get rekt.
Maybe not...but Baylor is for sure
This was a reminder of the first unlv vs duke game. Gonzaga ran into some real brother’s on the court and got smashed
agree with the hands everywhere, dk where baylor gets that energy, that's tough over a game's duration gonzaga missed some good shots where they didn't get the bounce and baylor got most bounces, it could have been closer
Mitchell reminds me of tyreek hill, so explosive
Cool
UCLA took the starch out of Gonzaga's collar.
College basketball Rankings should be taken with a grain of salt.
Baylor beat them down!
My God, they agree, and I agree with them. I should've bought a lottery ticket or bet the farm because I knew Baylor would beat the shoes off Gonzaga.
This was Hagler meets Hearns
I’ll openly admit I don’t watch NCAA until the tournament, but even casually all year I heard about Gonzaga and nothing about Baylor. Then Baylor was SOOOO dominant Im like “why haven’t I heard about them”
Same lol
Because every year there's a media darling, and this year they picked Zaga. Baylor's been on the up & up for the last couple of years, and probably could have won the tournament last year (definitely not with a blowout, but I still think they could've won). Baylor will never be anyone's media darling. We as fans have accepted it and prefer it that way.
This the first time I agree with Skip Bayless
Vintage big 12 basketball. Big boys. The SEC used to look like this too.
About time Skip is speaking some facts
Skip seems to love his local teams in Texas.
Proud to be a Baylor Bear! 🐻
So your a bear? What type of bear are u?
UCLA would have had a much better chance of bearing Baylor.
Gonzaga pulled a 2007 Patriots. Dominate the entire season then lose in the championship game
This will be interesting to see this happening again next year.
When intelligence, skill, and athleticism meets Gonzaga lol
Skip couldn't have said it any better, good win Baylor Bears
How come every time they watch a highlight on Undisputed, they never show us the highlight??? Skip be like "Look at this Shannon, Look!" meanwhile we can't see a damn thing.
Because it gets copyrighted on KZhead but you can see what they’re talking about when it’s live on tv
They want you to watch the whole show on tv
Yeah poor Gonzaga winning all those games and suddenly being exposed they didn't have enough dogs on that team
Looked like modern basketball vs basketball in the 90s
Let Skip talk please :/
When the world went Gonzaga, Skip Gonziged to Baylor
