I remember looking at the beginning of the season and thinking that, with a little luck, the Canucks can escape October with a .500 record. Maybe, if everything goes right, they finish a game above .500. I was not expecting this.
Is it just me, or are we all seeing Brock Boeser doing all the little things well on both sides of the rink now? Yes, EP40 is playing amazing and Quinn Hughes is quickly becoming one of the best D-man in the game... but Boeser I think is having one of those seasons where a player is really stepping up to the next level...
Agreed, and he's definitely faster now. Gotten used to all that muscle he packed on.
Boeser reminds me of another Toffoli for this month. Which is a huge praise. Playing both sides of the puck very well with a wicked shot. Don't need to worry about him making a defensive mistake which is very nice. I was extremely hard on him last year but so far this year he looks very good!
Gotta tell you guys I'm really like Joshua as well. I don't care so much about points but he is a complete pain in the you know what and I'm loving his grit and play!
@@felipepineda1585 The whole team is playing like that which is nice to see. Bodies getting in the way and just making it harder to skate. Massive difference from last year when the team was extremely soft everywhere.

@@Mike604miller got a double minor. 2 mins for high sticking and then for unsportsmanlike conduct for whatever he said to the refs (in the 1st). so the preds got a 4 min pp which was killed thankfully. and then in the second got another penalty. thankfully though he did draw a penalty in which soon after he scored on the power play
And then Miller scored a goal in the 3rd
6 points off of the leading team and 4th in the league standings after 9 games. This has been a brilliant start for Vancouver. Once again, different players are scoring and different players are contributing all the time. That's what makes a great team. It doesn't need one big name to carry all else on their back whereas the likes of Edmonton and Chicago always need that luxury or they'd be really screwed.

Another solid win for the Canucks as they take down the Preds 5-2 tonight... I Noticed JT Miller was benched for a portion of the 2nd period... I assume head coach Rick was sending him a message after he took a few undisciplined penalties...JT Miller came out on a mission in the 3rd period scoring the 4th Canucks goal & back checked well without taking anymore Infractions... Petty Made no mistake hitting the empty net goal tonight as he grabs his 2nd career Hat-Trick while Quinn Hughes racks up 3 more assists....Canucks looking like a contender to start off this season...Interesting to see what happens in November, stay tuned....
That's a major win for Tocchet, as Miller did this a ton last season and wasn't willing to listen to anyone, even Boudreau, which I completely disagreed with. Now he knows he can ill-afford to let his past behavior take shape again, lest he want to be given an early shower by his own coach.
I'm going to enjoy this for as long as I can. Enjoying the canucks and what they're doing right now 😊

The Canucks team is buzzing! Everyone is looking good. Soucy is a very smart stay at home d-man just the guy we needed. Our defence looks very good makes the coach able to play Myers to limited minutes.
Myers has averaged 19 minutes and 3 points in 3 games with a +4. Seriously, don't get how people can dog him for absolutely no reason 😒
@@fdti6914 Myers has only played 19 minutes in this game. In the last 5 games hes averaged 16.25 minutes per game. The last 3 seasons with the Canucks his average was 20+ minutes. So yes lowering him 4 minutes in a game is very crucial to a guy that still passes it up the middle. Also lets him match up against weaker forwards were he excels on the ice.

Their roster and cap situation is far from perfect, but their top end is firing on almost if not all cylinders, and the bottom half of the lineup seems to be buying into the system as well, even if you'd like to see a bit more scoring from them ideally

It was a game where the team maybe struggled to control play relative to their standard, but they were able to make up for having an off night puck possession-wise by limiting the quality of scoring chances against. Demko was good too

Canucks keep playing at a high level. 2 4-4 goals and a powerplay tally. They move the puck and pass well but also know when to be patient. Will be there in April. Preds missed on that 3-1 early and bad luck on the penalty shot. Otherwise, it would have been interesting. For years if the Preds did not have the puck they chase you and hit you. Little more standing around now.
