  • Excellent, one thing, when you're feeding water to engine with a water hose , the feed direction is from bottom up, not through the thermostat housing. It exits the thermostat housing. Great channel 👏

  • Isn't it worth putting in new piston rings and conrod bearings, since they are so cheap compared with the labour, and its apart anyways, its not going to run any different that you will notice by just cleaning and painting the engine, and especially for marine purposes it should definitely have new bearings and rings, but awesome videos I wish I could watch it all day, and I would love to do that myself if I had the opportunity, thanks kindly for sharing your great experiments and skills.

  • I love how the torque settings seem to be measured by "elbow clicks" 😂 not sure I would risk using an engine that's not been factory spec torqued up in a boat myself but go for gold!

  • Can't wait to see the second part to this one. You did a great job on that engine rebuild! I do worry that it will not have enough power for a boat that large. Have you seen a fishing boat from Japan? They have a great style. I think you could copy it to make a really awesome boat! Keep up the good work!

  • Собирать мотор Subaru без динамометрического ключа бред. Блок очень пластичный, если перетянуть мотор будет клинить при нагреве.

    • It is a polyester and fiberglass glue that is widely used in construction beams and boats. You can buy it at construction stores.

  • @Nasatchannel I have a VW 2000cc boxer engine in my garage and i would like to put it in a boat like yours! I will try making one! But where is the exhaust manifold? I didn't see iton the videos featuring the engine. Unfortunately it is rated at about 80 hp. I would like to turbocharge it.! Thanks for the videos!

  • Build on the engine, sounds beautiful, is this going to be a long-tail? Quite enjoyed this video, but please you guys gotta stop washing parts with bare hands though, trust an old idiot who's hands are not so good. We store popcorn in anticipation of seeing the final build, nice light lay-up on the hull + a screaming little motor and that craft should scoot right along, I thought the hull build was pretty brilliant and could be applied to many different designs, very nice imho.
