I love the look of shock on their faces, to us Brits it's just Jimmy lol
I’m a Canadian. I’ve seen every special and then some. You guys get just as shocked by his genius as we do. That being said I’m glad both our countries can enjoy Jimmy.
To us brits you are bit of prick
I'd believe you if Anthony Jeselnik were a brit
We're quite aware of Jimmy here in the states. We have WAY more offensive comedians. Then there's the Aussies like Jim Jefferies. Most Brits seem pretty tame to me. Also, I love Jimmy, he's funny as sh*t, but he's a shameless joke thief.
Is this what “cheeky” means? Lol
Why would they bleep out Jimmy Carr? If you"re watching Jimmy Carr you know what you're going to get.
Comedy Central, TV aired, TV bleeped.
They don't like bad language on American TV shows. That's why Negan was toned down in The Walking Dead. In the comic he swore like a trooper.
Not to mention on his own channel
american hypocrisy
Yes, but the source footage is very clearly from Comedy Central, not a raw, unbleeped, version. I figure that Comedy Central had control of the content, and not Jimmy. (No comment on the awful 4:3 -> 16:9 cropped conversion, though…)
A mobile home in a tornado is just a VERY mobile home.
Or upwardly mobile.
Better joke than in the set.
An Aerial Home

dont forget the woo!
It doesn't translate right? It's offensive humour, don't applaud it!
@@gavxmas you can applaud any kind of humour you want, it's just Americans do it for everything not just the jokes
@obglobgablob true
@@CharlesRevis1 of course! But in the Uk and extended areas which share common humour, they would hold applause when certain jokes don't demand it and rather the cringe or offence is designed to rise your emotions to a farther reward as is where Jimmy is best. Take for example the almost to much cringe levels of the Office as was written for the UK to the zany antics that caught on in the US. Reaction guides a 2 way street and it's curios to see the difference.
Watching early Jimmy Carr is always lovely because you get to see the shy ‘new kid’ he started off as compared to the confident veteran he is now. The tone of his voice, the way he carries himself, and his craft changes with that
J G Yes, for sure. He was still good back then but his shows are really polished these days.
It's not that, he had just changed his entire presentation style for the US audience. You know when your parents go abroad and speak very slowly, clearly and loudly in the belief that's what is required for the natives to understand them . . .
As an American I prefer his stuff in England. No damned censorship.
Me too
+ heckles & his response is always great too!
UK.
He said "who do u think is sending the tornado" lmao!
Awww. American censors - so precious. All right to show maiming, killing, and dismembering. Bless.
Those religion jokes did not go down as well as in the UK.
This is Newyork, very few of them are actually religious. It's just that North Americans are not as used to offensive jokes. You can see it on American stand up comedies as well. You can rarely see any highly offensive jokes. Even Jimmy tells very mild jokes whenever he's in NYC or in Montreal, Canada.
curious bird dude... Anthony Jeselnik Louis ck Patrice o’neal And A LOT more
@@daandemeyer1708 Who?
mountainhobo I don’t know if you’re joking or not but if you don’t know these comedians it’s really you, not me who listed some unknown comedians. And I’m from Europe, not some american who thinks american comedians are funny.
@@daandemeyer1708 No, I am not kidding. I don't go out of my way to look for standup comedians. To be honest, most of those I have seen are just not very funny. I will check out the ones you listed.
It's so weird seeing Jimmy not swearing much! 😂 🤣 😂
He was like muzzled all along. As if he had been talking to beginners of English as a foreign language.
@@szabados1980 ....that's because he was!
Wow. I’ve never seen Jimmy nervous before. He looks a little tense in front of an American audience. It’s amazing how much he toned down his stuff for this performance. And so sad that we can’t take a joke for what it is over here. A joke. The British are doing something right when it comes to comedy.
Amen.🙏
you'd be nervous too if you performed for foreigners, some british jokes might not translate to an american and jimmy might have thought that and it made him nervous, a comedian's worst nightmare is bombing and silent crowds
It's funny that he has to slow down, and pronooooounce everything because they're so thick.
Also he slow down on the jokes
We Americans generally have a horrible sense of humour
They're loving Jimmy when he's being held back imagine seeing the worst of him they wouldn't be able to handle it.
It is Jimmy Carr but slowed down 50% presumably on advice about the language barrier. I just tried playing it at 1.25 times speed and he sounds as he does usually.
Ahaha.
It works!
Thanks for the advice
True
The language barrier 🤣
If your GF ever says that you have a small organ, tell her, "If I knew I was going to play in a cathedral, I would have brought a bigger organ."
Fascinating how Jimmy dumbed down his jokes to cater for an American audience with their delicate sensitivities. Can you imagine the reaction if he went full monty on them with his normal routine. Probably wouldn't have made out of the theater without being lynched.
Yeah here in America people are sensitive and it's the most annoying thing.
Well said!
He seems to even slow down the speed with which he speaks.
@@EchtMartijn think thats because hes concentrating on his diction to make sure hes doing his best to help them understand him so they can get the jokes.
Wow. You guys really underestimate us. Most of us have no problem understanding anyone from the entirety of Great Britain, and our most famous comedians are the most offensive. Check out Daniel Tosh, Ralphie May, Dave Chappelle or Patrice O'neal. We're not the snowflakes that you guys think we are. It's just that the snowflakes complain and get media coverage.
He’s really toned down his material for them
He had to, they are American, they wouldn't get the jokes otherwise.
And they say british comedy is more subtle and indirect xdddd
@@nvstewart Nah it;s mostly because this was broadcast on basic cable
Basic cable does that sometimes.
I thought they were gonna turn on him with the Jesus joke lol.
Another Special for available for free on youtube. I love this guy!
Sincerely facinating to see Jimmys delivery versus audience reaction - 2022 - works so well!!
USA are not ready for the real jimmy without deleted expletives 🤷♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
It's interesting how this goes down well but nowhere near as well as if it were in England. The senses of humour are just bit different
Right! They applaud the offense rather than rise to it which is where Jimmy shines. I hope cancel culture doesn't get on this
@@gavxmas I dont think it will. Cancel culture is something that thrives on "racists" and "sexual predators." Besides, he's also British, so I dont think it would ultimately affect him in any significant way if it ever did happen.
Not a "bit" different as much as it is world's apart.
It feels weird not hearing Jimmy laugh.
What is the point of “bleeping” Jimmy Carr. If you are offended you wouldn’t be watching it .Its his trade mark .
It was a Comedy Central special. In the states you can't put profanity on free television until after midnight due to FCC regulations. We're way more uptight than you Brits. "Won't someone PLEASE think of the children? " 😢🤣

Good for you Jimmy Carr! Awesome show 👏🏻😊
JIMMY KILLING IT...SO PROUD OF YOU JIMMY..LIKE FIFTEEN YEARS LATE !! so good seeing you working this NY crowd in 2005..top man!
Beeps? What the beep is that? Why are the swear words bleeped? I know the show was in the US, and there they get very nervous with these words, but for crying out loud, hearing Jimmy Carr being bleeped is sacrilege!
Then don't watch the BLEEPING thing!!
Jimmy Carr is in my opinion the top Comedian around.
Great stuff. Thanks Jimmy!
Lol weeeak!
It’s just the way things sound when they are pronounced properly 😂😂🤣🤣
Censoring Jimmy Carr is the most useless thing ever.
Outstanding Comedy Talent . Jimmy You Are The Best !
His intelligence is out of the world 😳😳😳😳 he has insane communication skills and his eloquence is just impeccable

what a great comic. brill!
8:40 you can see Jimmy switching mental gears as the Jesus joke lands with an almighty plop.
I think with certain subjects, they are too scared to laugh in case someone who they might know, see's them laughing and takes offence!
I think that's why the Michael Bolton joke killed. They were a bit wound up. lmao.
Really solid set.
I'm an American and I love Jimmy's humor. But then again I'm not your average American either...
Are you slim and against invading other countries for "freedom"?
@@Revelian1982 Exactly!!
@MortalGamerDC1 85 Yes I am. The truth is I don't really consider myself an American in general. I'm human. I just happen to have been born in the U.S.
@MortalGamerDC1 85 No. Just forward thinking 🙂
I would love to see him in the UK. the NY show was not as good as his shows there.
He obviously toned it down for the American market.
That hip hop joke is fucking class 😂
Please post more full shows
More Jimmy!!!
Yeah, he was fat back then...
Masterclass.
I miss this type of comedy, comedy where you could tell a joke without people getting offended, hating or trying to cancel you.
The problem is that those people get too much attention.
I mean there have always been people that get offended, but yeah I agree recently it’s gotten out of hand
🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦 excellent as always Jimmy .
"Stop swallowing" 🤣
nice dude good show
Jimmy Carr is great, but this is unwatchable, with all the censorship and commercial breaks every 3 minutes.
Yeah, it's rough putting up with adds on free content. It's almost like he wants to earn money off his work. Crazy.

Changed the story about Aron Ralston to an Australian I see, the bit probably wouldn't have gone down well with the yanks haha

That was a watered down version of Jimmy' s routine, I don't think they could handle the full on version 🙂
I love your jokes
What happened to the camera man he must have been slowly deflating

Question are you censoring because of KZhead or was the footage already censored ?
It's most likely censored by TV network who broadcast it.
KZhead is too lazy to censor swear words. They just remove the whole video.
He’s class Jimmy, really interesting to see how Comedians change there delivery in foreign countries
No, in the case of Steve Hughes, an Ozzie, he just changes the countries he is joking about.
