    • ya got no facts or evidence. - - - DEMOCRFAT New York Attorney General Letitia James is set to host a “Drag Story Hour” for children in Manhattan this weekend - and the event is sparking outrage over the use of taxpayer money for the already controversial event. James and a string of fellow elected Democratic city and state leaders plan to attend Sunday’s event in the West Village where “families with children” are invited to watch drag performers read books over a four-hour stretch. The AG’s March 19 event is co-sponsored by Drag Story Hour NYC - a nonprofit that has been showered in taxpayers funds, which has enabled them to send drag performers into public schools and libraries to interact with children as young as 3. “My office is proud to host a Drag Story Hour read-a-thon,” James wrote on Instagram as she promoted the event. “We’re inviting families to join us at the @lgbtcenternyc with @dragstoryhour, drag storytellers, community leaders, and elected officials.” News of the event sparked immediate backlash on Twitter, with some claiming New Yorkers’ tax dollars were “hard at work GROOMING KIDS.”

    • OH HEEEEEYYYYYY MAAAANNNNNNNN THATS SOOOOOO HEAVY BRAAAAAAAAHHHHHH - - - In FY2024 alone, Biden requested $6.9 trillion in spending, an increase of $748 billion over the already-bloated final FY 2023 spending level ($6.1 trillion) - that’s a 12.2% increase in just one year. Non-defense spending, including Biden’s progressive pet project wishlist, would rise to an unprecedented 22.7% of GDP. Entitlement programs would grow at an average yearly rate of 7.7% from the already-unsustainable 2023 level. Meanwhile, spending for national defense would fall to just 2.5% of GDP, the lowest level since before Pearl Harbor. Bottom Line: President Biden’s reckless spending agenda is a threat to our national security and America’s way of life. It threatens to destabilize today’s economy and rob future generations of Americans of the blessings of liberty that make our nation exceptional. < > BUDGET COMMITTEE

    • The only problem with your proposal is the assumption that Republicans knowing the truth would DO the truth. The fact is, that many Republicans have known the truth about Trump and the Tea Party before him, but have not spoken up because Trump (and the Tea Party) could bring the votes which allowed them to maintain their hold on power. The powerful truth about corruption is that it appears to feed on integrity: ‘Reform’ candidates, all too often, only want the power of the incumbent to serve their own purposes, not the oft quoted ‘will of the people’. Mitch McConnell is a case in point, if you caught the PBS documentary about him. But the stories of many individual ‘reformers’ play a common theme: once they’re in office, their administration becomes as corrupt as the administration they replaced. I speak as one who has observed local, state, and national politics for 50 years or so. As Paddy Bauer once commented about one city’s politics, “Chicago ain’t [isn’t] ready for reform.” My question, “Is America?” (ready for reform, that is)

    @susanne4795@susanne4795Ай бұрын
    • I wish that were wholly true. Biden IS a great president during this MAGA crisis. However, the MAGA constitutes are still convinced that Biden is still corrupt and is the reason the border deal failed & that the economy is not recovering. They also believe dump-Trump's claim that he is super rich and is everything else that he claims. He and his MAGA House Representatives have repeated the lies so much that even being called out on FOX and other ultra-right wing news channels haven't changed their minds. The fact that his antics are encouraging racism, bigotry, misogyny, and to install a single religion, Christianity, as THE only religion is maddening for the rest of the people who see through that BS. Trump is the ultimate glad hander and needs to be removed from society. I'm glad that some of the members of the Republican party are vacating their positions at such a critical time for elections. I just hope that they aren't just dwindling their members down to only MAGA followers or those with no spine. It's a strategic move that I hope results in the destruction and removal of the those who are wanting to destroy the republic and create a nation that implodes...

Every time it was attempted in Congress, it was blocked, and because it was law as decided by the courts in Roe, voters didn’t think it was urgent. • oh woooooooow maaaaaannnnnn thats sooooooooo radddddddd duuuuuude - - - FEBRUARY 07, 2024 CBO 2024 Baseline: The Baseline Under President Biden The Deterioration of the Federal Budget Outlook Since Biden Took Office: Since January 20, 2021, the gross federal debt has increased by $6.4 trillion. To put that in perspective, the federal government has accumulated more debt in the last three years than in the first 214 years of the U.S. federal government (1789-2002). The debt continues to grow at an unsustainable rate under current policies. The latest Congressional Budget Office (CBO) baseline projected gross federal debt would increase by afurther $18.2 trillion over the next ten years, reaching $52.4 trillion by 2033. Over the next thirty years, CBO projects the gross federal debt to more than quadruple, increasing by almost $120 trillion. On February 7, 2024, CBO will publish its newest projections, “The Budget and Economic Outlook: 2024 to 2034.” How the CBO Baseline Has Changed Under Biden: Federal Spending: Compared to the CBO baseline President Biden inherited, projected ten-year outlays have increased from $61.2 trillion to $80.1 trillion, an increase of $18.9 trillion or 30.8 percent. This translates to a 10 percent jump in outlays as a percentage of GDP. Projected ten-year interest payments on the debt are up $6.0 trillion, or 131.9 percent. < > BUDGET COMMITTEE

    • ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ya fail at facts - - - Biden’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Budget will be released this coming Monday, March 11 (35 days late). While we wait, the House Budget Committee is analyzing data from last year’s budget and its impact on federal spending: By the Numbers: The FY2024 budget proposed the highest sustained levels of spending in U.S. history: $82.2 trillion in spending over ten years, eclipsing 24.8% of GDP. This is $21 trillion higher than the pre-Biden CBO projection. As a share of the economy, this is 18% more spending than the historical average of the past half century (21.1%).

    • another CRT NO FACTS hyperbole - - - Biden Amendment repeals sections of the Civil Rights Act See also: Segregation and Systemic racism The debate over the crimes of the Democrats slave power was reopened in 2019 while some far leftists were pushing for slave reparations. During Sen. Biden's decades long collaboration with segregationist Senators, there is no record of Biden ever calling them "clown's, "racists", or telling them to "shut up". Contrarily, Biden had nothing but kind and loving words of praise at their retirements and funerals. In 1972 Biden re-cycled the racist rhetoric of John C. Calhoun, arguing that school segregation was a "positive good" for Blacks. Calhoun famously laid out his doctrine of separation of the races as a civilizing force among Blacks which became Democrat talking points before the Dred Scott decision, throughout the Civil War, Reconstruction, the Jim Crow era, and the New Deal. In a Democrat filibuster on the floor of the Senate, Calhoun famously said: "I hold that in the present state of civilization, where two races of different origin, and distinguished by color, and other physical differences, as well as intellectual, are brought together, the relation now existing in the slaveholding States between the two, is, instead of an evil, a good-a positive good." Biden resurrected the idea that segregation was "for their own good" and that Blacks were grateful for it. “I think the concept of busing … that we are going to integrate people so that they all have the same access and they learn to grow up with one another and all the rest, is a rejection of the whole movement of black pride, a rejection of the entire black awareness concept, where black is beautiful, black culture should be studied; and the cultural awareness of the importance of their own identity, their own individuality. In the 21st century Biden tried to separate himself from his previous racist statements on school integration: "Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids."

The event at The Center, an LGBTQA community facility on West 13th Street in Greenwich Village, had already drawn fire from critics who griped about using tax dollars to have drag performers read stories to children at various Big Apple locations. Adding to the price tag Sunday was the City Council’s Sergeant-at-Arms squad, which was on hand to provide security for at least a half-dozen city lawmakers who showed up for the event. “The council security team goes to all these events where the council members go and there’s a chance of someone being hurt,” Councilman Erik Bottcher (D-Manhattan) told The Post outside Sunday’s story hour. The events are co-sponsored by the Drag Story Hour NYC, which has received more than $200,000 in city contracts since 2018, according to records - prompting outcry from critics of the kiddie sessions.

However, illegal alien advocates frequently cite the alleged large tax payments made by illegal aliens as a justification for their unlawful presence and as a reason itself to grant them amnesty. That argument is nothing more than a red herring. Such claims rarely look at the costs associated with illegal immigration, and instead only focus on the amounts contributed to the economy and paid in taxes. Most studies grossly overestimate both the taxes actually collected from illegal aliens and, more importantly, the net amount of taxes actually paid by them (i.e., the amount of money collected from illegal aliens and ultimately kept by the federal government). A predominant reason for this is that in recent years, the United States has focused on apprehending and removing almost solely criminal aliens (and since President Biden took office, many criminal aliens are now protected from deportation as well). Because of this, the majority of illegal aliens seeking employment in the United States now live in an environment where they have little fear of deportation even if discovered. Eisenhower re-integrated the military and forced the integration of schools in Little Rock against the wishes of Democrat governor Orval Faubus. The racist Democrat LBJ started the welfare state and said “I’ll have those n#@!rs voting Democrat for the next 200 years,” highlighting the fact that Democrats care about black votes but not blacks. If a Democrat was to call for a vote of no confidence in a GOP speaker, the sociopaths on Fox would be hysterical. It would give them ammunition going into the election. They'll get all tribal.
