I think it is extremely creepy. My theory isn’t that that is his old home, I think it’s a stranger’s house. I think he’s standing in the window, stalking the owner, just like he does with you in chapter 1 before he starts to chase you. What backs up my theory is that in the tape it shows that the search expands into nearby residential areas, plus the original time of the search was 11 PM, while the time when huggy is in that household in 3 AM.

*A very interesting extra detail I just noticed:* Huggy didn’t go on a murder rampage around the facility when he got out of his cell. He went directly to an exit instead, even though a few employees apparently saw him leave, meaning that he passed them up. Just kind of shows what his motives were here, *he just wanted to get out.* He only attacked when they went after him and shot at him. Honestly, knowing the sort of conditions that Huggy has been kept in, and the fact that he’s most likely made out of a dead orphan, I was rooting for him the whole time like *Yes, run my boy run, get out of there!!!* Too bad he got caught

Imagine if Huggy found a residential area with normal people, he also attacked a deer (or a moose), so the toys will kill animals too, apparently. PJ would have lived, if he doesn't need to eat. His body would absolutely fail him if he tried to hunt something. It will also get him caught - he's too slow to get away in time. As for Catbee, I don't think she can even move on her own? But if she can, she'd probably have a hard time out there. She's small, heavy and quite noticeable. Unless she finds a place to hide that's small enough to not be spotted by the search parties. Honestly, I think that out of all the toys, Huggy was the only one who could have lived out there. He's big, fast, his fur wouldn't let him freeze, and he's able to feed himself - judging by the dead deer. If his disappearance wasn't noticed in time, he would have stayed free.

Something about seeing Huggy outside the factory and interacting with the real world is extremely unsettling to me. Within the confines of the factory, Huggy's design makes sense, and the art style of the game makes him look a lot more cutesy. Not here. It really hammers home that Huggy is not just a 'living toy' - he's a flesh-and-blood creature, and is totally out of place among the mundane environments we see in the video. Really well done.

The body (not) shown at 2:42 is honestly the most concerning to me. Based on the area around the blur, the employee is somehow *impaled* on to three- which means Huggy Wuggy had to *pick them up and put them there.* This shows him to have a degree of strength I hadn’t considered before- given an adult human weighs around 179lbs (89~ kilos). Also, it’s pretty obvious what happened to the missing employees. He ate them. EDIT; stop saying Huggy kills for fun, that line was in reference to to Prototype, experiment 1006. We thought Huggy was experiment 1006 because we didn’t have any other options. Huggy is later stated to be experiment 1170.

it's possible that huggy didn't necessarily put him there, but the body landed there from a hit from huggy. that still proves that he's incredibly strong, but i don't think huggy would just waste time in placing a body in a tree.

When Huggy run towards the car window you can kind of see the cameraman jump back before he got hit. That level of detail coming from an indie horror game is extremely impressive. Props to mob games. But I also can see something odd. When Huggy moves in chapter one, he stands and walks like a human, and runs sort of like that as well, when in the vents. But in this CANON tape, you can really see Huggy sprinting forwards on all fours, and sprinting towards the car like that. Why does he move so differently in different circumstances? Does anyone have any idea for why he runs differently for me to read, because I very much would like to theorize about it with you all, as I’m kind of new to the game theorist community. I’m better at spotting things FOR theories then making the theories themselves.

I’ve seen someone before theorize that Huggy is an invertebrate, as in he doesn’t have bones. Since he doesn’t have bones, it’s hard for him to move quickly with no support. It’s like his arms and legs are worms. You can also tell when he is running toward you after leaving the vent, right before he falls. He’s got noodle-like limbs and they flail around. Moving on four limbs is easier and faster for him than moving on two. In the vents, he can support himself using the walls and floor.

So according to what the gaming community has already pieced together abt this game, it seems like Experiment 1006, also known as "The Prototype" and (likely) former CEO Elliot Ludwig, let Huggy Wuggy into the ventilation system, as the letter from Pierre at the end reveals that security didn't even realize that Huggy had escaped. Theory: I noticed something about this tape. You can see clearly he only wants to leave, like they are forcing him to do something. He only attacks under threat, the way bees do. What if he is just a creature that is actually friendly but is now traumatized by whatever the factory is doing to him, and in chapter 1, thinks you are dangerous like other former employees of playtime co. Edit a year later: turns out I was just yapping and the reason he attacked was the damn hour of joy.

He does still seem to be violent for the sake of being violent. Project Playtime and Chapter 2 both give very good evidence that Huggy does NOT need to eat. But despite that, he still killed a deer, and it seems like he didn't eat from it at all since it's organs would be spread out everywhere. So he is still violent for no reason. 1. His experiment number is 1170, which means he was created AFTER 1006, so all experiments created after 06 would also share the quality of not feeling hunger because why would the innovation wing stop doing that procedure? 2. Project Playtime's Monster tutorial shows that Huggy himself isn't starving but that the others are, he's far more concerned for the comfort of the mini huggies and other toys than himself, and with how animalistic he is, if he were starving, his instincts would force him to take care of himself first. I have a lot of other reasons to believe Huggy and all other post-1006 experiments don't feel hunger but those are just my main ones.

Update: OVER 1K LIKES?! Holy- thanks guys! You didn't have to but thanks!! some key details to note in this video. In the last four seconds, the camera shows what looks to be a random house. But if you turn up the brightness of the screenshot, you can see huggy standing in front of it near the right middle. not only that, but Huggy escaped at 10:30. on the 18th. But the house camera shows 3:30 am, the 19th. But earlier, we saw them say it took NEARLY 4 hours to sedate and locate Huggy. but between 10:30 and 3:30 am is 5 hours. so the house footage was shot AFTER Huggy had been located and sedated and returned to the factory.

Nice observation if they meant four hours starting from 10:30, but unfortunately I think by four hours they might have meant starting from the 11:38 PM camera time at timestamp 2:06, until 3:38 AM camera time at the last four secs of the vid, so that would be 4 hours and 4 mins or roughly 4 hours to relocate Huggy from the time and place he attacked the guy to the time they found him at the house.

So this tape confirms Huggy is a biological creature, he can run at 10MPH as a quadruped, he doesn't prefer to kill humans unless told or provoked. Think about it: Huggy is known for obeying orders, and he didn't kill the staff who saw him when escaping the delivery bay. As he was cornered later, he didn't have a choice.

Mob Entertainment really went overboard with this video. Especially with the bodies, parts being blurred and the amount of blood is intence. And the story is AWESOME! Experiment 1170, a.k.a Huggy Wuggy, escaping the facility into the forest and being hunt down by staff was brilliant. Lore is probably hidden EVERYWHERE! Especially the last scene with the neighbourhood, probably is filled to the brim with LORE. Wonder how MatPat will react... We will probably see a theory soon.

Wow I never in my whole life actually expected something truly realistically terrifying to the same people who usually make content for kids. I really love how they pulled the vhs effect, which helped make the lore a lot more intriguing and also horrifying at the same time especially the shots of Huggy Wuggy. Believe me if Mob can keep making these kind of animations while still making us hyped for chapter 3, then they definitely deserve a pat on the back.

@@Cryissa pay attention in school. if the lights are on they wouldn't be adjusted for the outside darkness and wouldn't see them. it is also very quiet, and they can't see through walls, so they wouldn't be able to see him sitting away from any window. they also certainly not expecting anything at their house other than themselves, so why would they be looking for something?

This changes so much of what we already know. We now know that in 6/18/1992, Huggy Wuggy was able to use the ventilation system to escape containment. We know from MatPat 's previous Poppy Playtime video that he was the factory security to keep intruders out, but was also working for the Prototype to stop the experiments. So why leave... It can't possibly be real. Right?

Gotta be honest, one of the coolest videos that I have seen in a long while that brings a video game horror character to life in a effective way. That being said, this also gives me a lot of hope that Huggy may still actually be alive, like some sort of hint/nod toward his resilience. I'm torn between if the Prototype got him, or that he did indeed survive and crawl up into the vents. Another interesting thing that I noticed about the teaser for Chapter 3 that I haven't seen anyone else point out (though I am sure someone has) is to look at the difference between Mommy Long-Legs and Huggy Wuggy when they appear in the teaser. When we see Huggy Wuggy in toy form on the floor, he is in pristine condition. He's not covered in dirt/blood, and doesn't seem to be damaged. And then when Mommy Long-Legs comes into frame, who we saw die and get taken by the Prototype in Chapter 2, she's bloody/dirty, seems to be damaged, and is cut in half much like how she died. With that analysis in mind, and this video, I am even more torn on whether or not Huggy is truly dead, if anything, I feel like I am leaning more towards him being alive, which would be freaking awesome. Also very much looking forward to seeing more of Kissy Missy, didn't notice anything about her in the teaser. I am looking forward to eventually seeing what her character is like, if she is going to be kind and helpful like she was initially, or if she is also violent and was just holding back/putting on a facade.

I have to say this video was awesome giving more detail on Huggy Wuggy he though it wasn't needed at all showing that all he wanted was to just leave not having gone on a murderous rampage killing the few employees that saw him leave. As it just shows that he didn't want to hurt anyone and just only attacked when the security team went after him to bring him back to Playtime Co. showing that there is more to his motives than what it seems especially in the game. But just seeing Huggy Wuggy interacting in the outside world in those live action shoots really brings out the that he's not only just a toy, but rather a flesh and blood creature of someone who was turned into a toy. Overall the Mob Entertainment team definitely did an outstanding job with this while everyone is in wait for chapter 3 of Poppy's Playtime coming this year as we all wait for the next trailer. As I do wonder if we might get something like for the other toys we've seen so far.

at the end of the vhs if you look at the date it says that it is 6/19/92 but meanwhile at the beginning Hugh Wuggy got away in 6/18/92 meaning that he ran away again

Remember this event took place at 1992 while The Hour Of Joy happened at 1995. So, Huggy (probably) is the first toy that tried to escape to outside world but failed. The fact that he surrenders by standing outside the house proof that his human self either used to live at the house or he's just standing there.

Well, Mob team, you're really strong at directing a scene :) And I'm not talking about camera staging only, which is of an unusual quality for this "caught on tape" type of scary video we can see a lot on youtube. The imagery is really strong, it has kind of a murderer true documentary vibe and I think it is why it works so well.

It feels like Poppy Playtime was sort of already about analog horror. The first video on Mob Games’ channel was the Poppy maintenance tutorial tape, each chapter starts with a VHS tape, and there’s actual VHS tapes in the game, some of which have live-action footage.

According to the game's VHS tapes, Huggy (specifically 1170) is considered to be the "ideal outcome" with "maximum obedience". When even the most obedient experiment will escape the first chance he gets, murdering up to 11 security personnel in the process, it does NOT say good things about the OTHER experiments...

This video was just enough to give me that every feeling, I'm normally terrified of everything about horror movies, horror games, but this one game has me pulled in my the collar!!! I'm no excited to see chapter 3, I can't wait to watch all the game plays and see everyone's reaction, this video was a genius ideas and the fact that Huggy Wuggy went straight from the exit instead of going on a killing rampage really gives us more context clues about how he was treated and how his soul or is organs or just some way that he was put into this 'toy' was brutal enough to cause him physical, mental, and verbal damage.

I think it is extremely creepy. My theory isn’t that that is his old home, I think it’s a stranger’s house. I think he’s standing in the window, stalking the owner, just like he does with you in chapter 1 before he starts to chase you. What backs up my theory is that in the tape it shows that the search expands into nearby residential areas, plus the original time of the search was 11 PM, while the time when huggy is in that household in 3 AM.

I can't believe how serious this game and lore is getting. Imagine if Huggy found a residential area with normal people, he also attacked a deer (or a moose), so the toys will kill animals too, apparently. I also wonder how other monsters like Mommy long legs, Boxy boo, Catbee, or Pj Pug a piller would react outside.

PJ would have lived, if he doesn't need to eat. His body would absolutely fail him if he tried to hunt something. It will also get him caught - he's too slow to get away in time. As for Catbee, I don't think she can even move on her own? But if she can, she'd probably have a hard time out there. She's small, heavy and quite noticeable. Unless she finds a place to hide that's small enough to not be spotted by the search parties. Honestly, I think that out of all the toys, Huggy was the only one who could have lived out there. He's big, fast, his fur wouldn't let him freeze, and he's able to feed himself - judging by the dead deer. If his disappearance wasn't noticed in time, he would have stayed free.

Something about seeing Huggy outside the factory and interacting with the real world is extremely unsettling to me. Within the confines of the factory, Huggy's design makes sense, and the art style of the game makes him look a lot more cutesy. Not here. It really hammers home that Huggy is not just a 'living toy' - he's a flesh-and-blood creature, and is totally out of place among the mundane environments we see in the video. Really well done.

The body (not) shown at 2:42 is honestly the most concerning to me. Based on the area around the blur, the employee is somehow *impaled* on to three- which means Huggy Wuggy had to *pick them up and put them there.* This shows him to have a degree of strength I hadn’t considered before- given an adult human weighs around 179lbs (89~ kilos). Also, it’s pretty obvious what happened to the missing employees. He ate them. EDIT; stop saying Huggy kills for fun, that line was in reference to to Prototype, experiment 1006. We thought Huggy was experiment 1006 because we didn’t have any other options. Huggy is later stated to be experiment 1170.
it's possible that huggy didn't necessarily put him there, but the body landed there from a hit from huggy. that still proves that he's incredibly strong, but i don't think huggy would just waste time in placing a body in a tree.

When Huggy run towards the car window you can kind of see the cameraman jump back before he got hit. That level of detail coming from an indie horror game is extremely impressive. Props to mob games. But I also can see something odd. When Huggy moves in chapter one, he stands and walks like a human, and runs sort of like that as well, when in the vents. But in this CANON tape, you can really see Huggy sprinting forwards on all fours, and sprinting towards the car like that. Why does he move so differently in different circumstances? Does anyone have any idea for why he runs differently for me to read, because I very much would like to theorize about it with you all, as I’m kind of new to the game theorist community. I’m better at spotting things FOR theories then making the theories themselves.

I’ve seen someone before theorize that Huggy is an invertebrate, as in he doesn’t have bones. Since he doesn’t have bones, it’s hard for him to move quickly with no support. It’s like his arms and legs are worms. You can also tell when he is running toward you after leaving the vent, right before he falls. He’s got noodle-like limbs and they flail around. Moving on four limbs is easier and faster for him than moving on two. In the vents, he can support himself using the walls and floor.
So according to what the gaming community has already pieced together abt this game, it seems like Experiment 1006, also known as "The Prototype" and (likely) former CEO Elliot Ludwig, let Huggy Wuggy into the ventilation system, as the letter from Pierre at the end reveals that security didn't even realize that Huggy had escaped. The lore is getting crazy, I'm rlly looking forward to more side-story VHS tape content like this, content that provides further lore-building for this thrilling enigma you've created! You're on another level, M.O.B, you really are. Edit: love how half the comments are abt this comment being in a video made by a KZheadr I somehow didn't even know existed, lol

Theory: I noticed something about this tape. You can see clearly he only wants to leave, like they are forcing him to do something. He only attacks under threat, the way bees do. What if he is just a creature that is actually friendly but is now traumatized by whatever the factory is doing to him, and in chapter 1, thinks you are dangerous like other former employees of playtime co. Edit a year later: turns out I was just yapping and the reason he attacked was the damn hour of joy.
This theory is reflected by what the other experiment tells you in their new game. "They are trying to take the toys" (or something like that) and the new tape that shows us that even Kissy Missy is a danger towards people, yet she helps us in the game

He does still seem to be violent for the sake of being violent. Project Playtime and Chapter 2 both give very good evidence that Huggy does NOT need to eat. But despite that, he still killed a deer, and it seems like he didn't eat from it at all since it's organs would be spread out everywhere. So he is still violent for no reason. 1. His experiment number is 1170, which means he was created AFTER 1006, so all experiments created after 06 would also share the quality of not feeling hunger because why would the innovation wing stop doing that procedure? 2. Project Playtime's Monster tutorial shows that Huggy himself isn't starving but that the others are, he's far more concerned for the comfort of the mini huggies and other toys than himself, and with how animalistic he is, if he were starving, his instincts would force him to take care of himself first. I have a lot of other reasons to believe Huggy and all other post-1006 experiments don't feel hunger but those are just my main ones.

Update: OVER 1K LIKES?! Holy- thanks guys! You didn't have to but thanks!! some key details to note in this video. In the last four seconds, the camera shows what looks to be a random house. But if you turn up the brightness of the screenshot, you can see huggy standing in front of it near the right middle. not only that, but Huggy escaped at 10:30. on the 18th. But the house camera shows 3:30 am, the 19th. But earlier, we saw them say it took NEARLY 4 hours to sedate and locate Huggy. but between 10:30 and 3:30 am is 5 hours. so the house footage was shot AFTER Huggy had been located and sedated and returned to the factory.

Nice observation if they meant four hours starting from 10:30, but unfortunately I think by four hours they might have meant starting from the 11:38 PM camera time at timestamp 2:06, until 3:38 AM camera time at the last four secs of the vid, so that would be 4 hours and 4 mins or roughly 4 hours to relocate Huggy from the time and place he attacked the guy to the time they found him at the house.

So this tape confirms Huggy is a biological creature, he can run at 10MPH as a quadruped, he doesn't prefer to kill humans unless told or provoked. Think about it: Huggy is known for obeying orders, and he didn't kill the staff who saw him when escaping the delivery bay. As he was cornered later, he didn't have a choice.

Mob Entertainment really went overboard with this video. Especially with the bodies, parts being blurred and the amount of blood is intence. And the story is AWESOME! Experiment 1170, a.k.a Huggy Wuggy, escaping the facility into the forest and being hunt down by staff was brilliant. Lore is probably hidden EVERYWHERE! Especially the last scene with the neighbourhood, probably is filled to the brim with LORE. Wonder how MatPat will react... We will probably see a theory soon.

Wow I never in my whole life actually expected something truly realistically terrifying to the same people who usually make content for kids. I really love how they pulled the vhs effect, which helped make the lore a lot more intriguing and also horrifying at the same time especially the shots of Huggy Wuggy. Believe me if Mob can keep making these kind of animations while still making us hyped for chapter 3, then they definitely deserve a pat on the back.

This changes so much of what we already know. We now know that in 6/18/1992, Huggy Wuggy was able to use the ventilation system to escape containment. We know from MatPat 's previous Poppy Playtime video that he was the factory security to keep intruders out, but was also working for the Prototype to stop the experiments. So why leave... It can't possibly be real. Right?
Well, how he was like the the Michael Afton or Vanessa of Playtime Co., Huggy Wuggy could escape easily and the Prototype wanted him out so he doesn't suffer in the factory anymore.

Gotta be honest, one of the coolest videos that I have seen in a long while that brings a video game horror character to life in a effective way. That being said, this also gives me a lot of hope that Huggy may still actually be alive, like some sort of hint/nod toward his resilience. I'm torn between if the Prototype got him, or that he did indeed survive and crawl up into the vents. Another interesting thing that I noticed about the teaser for Chapter 3 that I haven't seen anyone else point out (though I am sure someone has) is to look at the difference between Mommy Long-Legs and Huggy Wuggy when they appear in the teaser. When we see Huggy Wuggy in toy form on the floor, he is in pristine condition. He's not covered in dirt/blood, and doesn't seem to be damaged. And then when Mommy Long-Legs comes into frame, who we saw die and get taken by the Prototype in Chapter 2, she's bloody/dirty, seems to be damaged, and is cut in half much like how she died. With that analysis in mind, and this video, I am even more torn on whether or not Huggy is truly dead, if anything, I feel like I am leaning more towards him being alive, which would be freaking awesome. Also very much looking forward to seeing more of Kissy Missy, didn't notice anything about her in the teaser. I am looking forward to eventually seeing what her character is like, if she is going to be kind and helpful like she was initially, or if she is also violent and was just holding back/putting on a facade.
I think it's probably a safe bet that Huggy will be back since he's become the mascot of the whole series.

I have to say this video was awesome giving more detail on Huggy Wuggy he though it wasn't needed at all showing that all he wanted was to just leave not having gone on a murderous rampage killing the few employees that saw him leave. As it just shows that he didn't want to hurt anyone and just only attacked when the security team went after him to bring him back to Playtime Co. showing that there is more to his motives than what it seems especially in the game. But just seeing Huggy Wuggy interacting in the outside world in those live action shoots really brings out the that he's not only just a toy, but rather a flesh and blood creature of someone who was turned into a toy. Overall the Mob Entertainment team definitely did an outstanding job with this while everyone is in wait for chapter 3 of Poppy's Playtime coming this year as we all wait for the next trailer. As I do wonder if we might get something like for the other toys we've seen so far.

at the end of the vhs if you look at the date it says that it is 6/19/92 but meanwhile at the beginning Hugh Wuggy got away in 6/18/92 meaning that he ran away again
Remember this event took place at 1992 while The Hour Of Joy happened at 1995. So, Huggy (probably) is the first toy that tried to escape to outside world but failed. The fact that he surrenders by standing outside the house proof that his human self either used to live at the house or he's just standing there.
Well, Mob team, you're really strong at directing a scene :) And I'm not talking about camera staging only, which is of an unusual quality for this "caught on tape" type of scary video we can see a lot on youtube. The imagery is really strong, it has kind of a murderer true documentary vibe and I think it is why it works so well.
I love the idea of Huggy hiding in plain sight with the footage of a staff member trying to find him in the woods on his own, we can actually see Huggy at 2:03 and 2:13 the staff member doesn't seem to notice Huggy, despite shining his torchlight right at him.

This was actually very well made! Seeing Huggy escape the facility was surprising, and throughout the video, after he killed the staff, I was like “It can’t get worse, right?”, but then it cut to that house at the end and I was like “F*ck 💀”. Anyway, this was incredible!

It feels like Poppy Playtime was sort of already about analog horror. The first video on Mob Games’ channel was the Poppy maintenance tutorial tape, each chapter starts with a VHS tape, and there’s actual VHS tapes in the game, some of which have live-action footage.

The fact that he was SO close to escaping makes me so sad.. poor, poor Huggy. The child’s soul (perhaps even body?) that’s trapped inside of him must be screaming.
According to the game's VHS tapes, Huggy (specifically 1170) is considered to be the "ideal outcome" with "maximum obedience". When even the most obedient experiment will escape the first chance he gets, murdering up to 11 security personnel in the process, it does NOT say good things about the OTHER experiments...
This video was just enough to give me that every feeling, I'm normally terrified of everything about horror movies, horror games, but this one game has me pulled in my the collar!!! I'm no excited to see chapter 3, I can't wait to watch all the game plays and see everyone's reaction, this video was a genius ideas and the fact that Huggy Wuggy went straight from the exit instead of going on a killing rampage really gives us more context clues about how he was treated and how his soul or is organs or just some way that he was put into this 'toy' was brutal enough to cause him physical, mental, and verbal damage.
I really love this type of horror, and it shows that this game really wasn't meant for kids, showing that Huggy Wuggy isn't some "cute huggable big blue toy" but instead an actual monster that will tear you apart and kill you! Also, I click the notification the second I realized it was from Mob games so fast that I lost some of my flesh in the process...
People nowadays are used to really gory and a violent horrors movie and games, so they treat classic horror as kiddie stuff... Also Poppy Playtime take places in the 90s so its clearly targeted to 30-40 years people nostalgic of that era.

@@CowMalicious9479 when I was a Kid I played Doom and Alone in the dark 🤣 If you check on KZhead there are tons of fake Gameplay videos and shitty animations... i think this is proof of mob games good work as they created characters that makes really believable toys and cartoon characters as they appeal so much to kids. ☺️
