MMA superstar Jon 'Bones' Jones visited Bangtao Muay Thai & MMA gym in Phuket, Thailand. Following a meet & greet session, he held an impromptu seminar where he explained some of his favorite takedown techniques. Stay tuned for part 2, which will cover the second day of Bones' visit to the gym, during which he showcased his famous elbow strikes.

His Fight IQ is impenetrable. He's not the best cuz of his physical dominance, that's a mere fragment of it yes. However, he's the greatest because of his ability to read a fighter at any given moment, staying light on his feet, maticulous, patience, confidence, stamina and all around superb technicality. It's scary. It's almost as if he's superhuman 💯

All I can say is that I genuinely hope John is turning his life around. He’s such a brilliant fighter, a great coach, and it’s nice to finally see him doing some good and not into trouble.

He might not be a model human being, but as a fighter when Jon Jones talks, you listen. Him, DJ and GSP might be the only ones in history to truly perfect mixed martial arts and combining styles together.

Its interesting to hear jones talk about take downs, as wrestler starting in MMA you really don't know what take downs work without the opponent countering/kneeing/guillotine etc, its nice to hear jones break down the setups
