1/35 JAGDPANZER HETZER Tank Destroyer That Packs A Punch! Takom 2172 1/35, part 1

Takom has released 3 models with a full interior and we can build an early (2170), mid (2171) or late version (2172). In this video I am showing my work on late version. With addition of extra parts (Aber sets, winterketten from Quick Tracks, towing cables from Eureka XXL and details for antenna and machine gun from Master Model) we can create stunning miniature of Jagdpanzer Hetzer tank destroyer. The addition of figures also make it eyecatching miniature.
So check this tutorial of Takom Hetzer in 1/35 scale and create a tank destroyer that packs a punch!

  • I have a question (several) at 6:12 you used a drill bit to create holes for the handles. What size was the drill bit? Also what thickness or type of copper wire did you use and where could I find the same? And the tool you used to shape the wire. What is that tool ? I found this part using scratch build handles fascinating and I want to do this to my two different Hetzer kits. Well done and execution on your build. I did hit subscribe Thank you Dziękuję bardzo

    @Chaos-lb9hi@Chaos-lb9hi6 ай бұрын
    • The drill is, from what I remember, 4mm. Same thing with wire. This is copper wire - you can buy it in any modeling store. To shape the wire, I used a tool that I bought at a modeling fair some time ago and it is a no-name product. But RP Toolz has such a device in its offer. Thanks for comment!

      @coldemonspl@coldemonspl6 ай бұрын
    • @@coldemonsplI appreciate your reply. You and another subscriber recommended Michigan Toy Soldier company (I live in the US Stanów) & Last Cavalry to get and use RP Toolz for the wire bender (handles) and the PE bending tool. I was able to find both at Last Cavalry

    • @@coldemonspl I have watched the series on the Hetzer build from part 1 to the diorama. I’m very impressed even the Stalingrad Hetzer crew I had already purchased this set and the New World miniatures Hetzer Crew. I have been procrastinating building two different Hetzer kits ( Tamiya and Dragon 6030) Your videos have given me the framework I’m going to use on the builds. I was going to use regular QuickTracks but enjoyed your use of QuickTracks Winterketten so I ordered two of the Winterketten kits. I ordered both RP Tools wire bender and the PE bending tools. Also picked up Aber metal barrels too. Last I am going to use your method of weld seams too and texturing. Thank you for sharing your Hetzer build videos

  • The problem is that young beginners don't have much money, and when they see those videos, plastic model plus an amount of after-market details and ad on, plus the considerably amount of specific paints and others, the price is considerably over for them, and results is only old modelers stay in place only using ancient methods, ancient tools, ancient paints and ancient savoir faire. 😢 It's just a personal opinion 😌
