He got several title shots. Unfortunate events just kept happening every single time. And instead of demanding the fight and just waiting for it he kept fighting other fighters out of ego. It’s understandable but in hindsight not the best decision.

Tony vs Khabib woulda been interesting - mainly because of Tony’s bottomless stamina and how great he is striking from his back on the ground, and how unorthodox he is. BUT... Im still excited as hell to watch Gaethje square up with Khabib. Gaethje’s striking is on a whole other level. The way he lit Tony up was insane. Ive never in my life seen Tony look that broken before. After that last jab when Tony was shaking his head and looking punch drunk, you could tell he didnt want anymore. If he catches Khabib, it could be over. Im hoping it doesnt end up another Khabib bear-mauling, even though it probably will. But its an interesting style match up. Hopefully Justin can stay on his feet for a round or two at least.
Well Justin got dominated by Khabib, barely surviving the first round and got submitted in the second demonstrating his lack of Jui Jitsu skills which will undoubtedly be exploited by future opponents. Now that Khabib's retired, the Tony vs Khabib fight will never happen.

You know what was good about that Lawler/MacDonald weigh in stare down? It seems like MacDonald kind of slowly puts his fist on Lawler's chin, I feel to see if Lawler was going to be ok with it. Lawler doesn't seem to be fully ok with him doing it, but he knows that it's good for the moment. So he allows MacDonald to keep his fist there, but to let Rory know that he was "in charge", Lawler pushes his fist off his chin. BUT not in an aggressive, McGregor vs Diaz stare down, but just enough. Rory bows out, as he should in that moment, and they both KNEW they created history there.
