This is the start of the mammoth task of getting this building into a usable condition. New chimney, windows, sections of roof, new doors and groundworks still to be done... watch this space!
Thank you for taking us on your journey of finding the perfect work space Can’t wait for the next instalment! Cheers🇨🇦
Welcome 🤩 more on the way soon!
What a lovely old building, looking forward to the updating.
Wonderful find. Looking forward to everything you do to it in future.
Thanks for this , love that you're saving that beautiful building & you're clearly not afraid of hard graft , good luck in the quest , i'll keep looking to see the progress
Ben, Looking forward to your videos as i like to restore & build gadgets myself. It‘s a fire extinguisher the bit at the bottom of the cone is the plunger and the jet at the top I would either chop out one side of the floor or build up the low side as it will be a constant trip hazard in a workshop when carrying larger objects. Cheers Dave
Awesome building. I just discovered your channel, love restorations of old buildings, so hooked immediately. Once all the trash was cleaned out, it is pretty good sized. Should make a very nice work shop, even a small living area above.
A great old building, very interesting. Show us more.
More on the way soon 🤩
I can see potential and lots of hard work. Nice start. Be watching your progress and looking forward to your success.
Seeing some painted walls & the fireplace & the fancy chair - it looks as tho someone was trying to make this into a home, and the outline of the building certainly looks like a cottage rather than just a utility 'building' or a shed.
It was used as a storage space by the neighbours for a long time and the local kids used to make dens in there. Before that it was a functioning stables and potting shed 👍 it is super damp in there - I got two lung infections just working in there, living would be mighty soggy 😅 damp proof membranes, ground works around the outside and new gutters should help 🤞🤞
I wish I could find a building like that here in the states just so I could refurbish with no specific purpose of what to do with.
What a wonderful little cottage you have. Looking forward to watching you.😊
The conical thing is an old 1950/1960 Pyrene, soda/acid fire extinguisher. There should be a line of rivets down the side. The instructions for use said bash the brass plunger to break the acid capsule then invert to use. we had these at my old primary school in the '50's they would have been painted red originally. A collectors item now!
Wow this project looks like fun heaps of work good on you for doing this up
Looking forward to following this project.
Quite a job. Lots of junk inside and bushes outside. I like watching transformations and seeing all the different situations that come up during. As a Registered Nurse, it's always a bit hard to watch when folks forget about Masks or Safety Googles, etc. In old buildings like this wearing a mask is very important, especially as dust can have rodents feces, lead, and who knows what? I look forward to seeing the transition
You,ve done a lot of clearing out, good luck for all the hard work well done
Nice place - green with envy here. The ancient fire extinguisher is only good for an ornament now. You had to bash the end on the floor to break a vile of acid, which mixed with the water and sodium bicarbonate mix and shot the whole contents out of the pointy end. You only got one go, and they weren't very efficient.
The mystery rusty item is an old fire extinguisher!
Saw your post after id posfed lol
👍🙏
Nice project! I like that workshop!
That looks like a very ancient fire extinguisher
👌🙏
Very Nice!
Thank you 🙏🙏
The rusty conical shaped device is an old fire extinguisher.
😄🙏
An adorable building. Hoping you can rebuild it keeping all that architectural charm.
🤞❤️
Amazing video
Сколько работы, но вы справитесь. Главное- не отчаиваться. Я подписалась! Привет!😊❤
just subscribed i want to see until the end how it comes out
Wow what a journey! Look forward to the next instalment - subbed 👍
Welcome aboard 😄😍
What a really neat building. Will make a wonderful shop. Wonder if that raised part of the floor was built over the original floor?
Nice work, loved the video! I can see already this channel hitting the 100k subscriber mark🔥 I dream taking on a similar project someday in the future.🙏🏻
I found your channel through tik tok and i have to say you have amazing skills . I would like to see more and longer videos .- subbed 😃
Legend!! Welcome to the channel. More content on the way 🤓 I’ll be experimenting with some longer form versions 🙏
That cone shaped unit reminds me of an old plumb-bob. Just a suggestion…I’m 80 used one years ago
It turns out it is an old fire extinguisher 😁
Your name meant Potter- reference the Kiln. Very nice! New sub.
Welcome 🤩 I think the Kilner originated from the operators of lime kilns. Completely forgot to mention it 😂
the weird device looks like it could have been a device that blows air into a fire
A Fire extinguisher.
Very nice work, surprised you're not brushing the mortar back to keep tidy post repointing but love the tool you used to rake out. Looking forward to the journey ahead.
I found that leaving it for a few hours before brushing worked well especially if my mortar mix was a bit wet… I then forgot to film the brushing 😄
@@ben-kilner I agree, it needs time to set up. You're all over this in the best possible way
I’m so to be with you on your journey to the old girl.
Glad to have you along for the ride 🤩
fire extinguisher
Very tasteful 👍💯😊
I always wonder how the cameraman gets into the building to record the forced entry through the jammed doors. Do they rappel from the roof?
Great job
Thank you 🙏🙏
What do you plan to do in your workshop? Woodworking, mechanical things, or what???
cone shaped thing a fire extinguisher
🤩🙏
The cone shape object might be a smoker for 🐝 bees 🤔
Good guess! I originally thought maybe a pump sprayer for plants but it turns out it is an old fire extinguisher 😄
Are you leasing the cottage or have you purchased it?
Do you have any toilet facilities close by or will you install some?
I am very curious about the final results of the house renovation
More content on the way 🥳🥳
Great job, you buy or rent?
0:32 Omg the camera was inside for all these years and still recording. wow plumb bob
I know! What are the chances! It was nearly out of battery 👀😂
The conical container is an old fire extinguisher., -I have small model of the same thing now used as a funnel. HM.
I think the rusty cone is an old fire extinguisher, I can only see one example on google but you might do better.
Looks like a fire extiguisher
👍👌
🎉
Did you buy this place?
Wow you have a lot of work to do there. What Country are you in? You need to get friends and family to help you. The Mrs to the man in the picture. 😊😊
UK 🇬🇧 I’ll definitely be getting volunteers in when laying the flagstone workshop floor 😅
Did you do it by yourself?
All solo so far. I’ll be getting some help with the groundworks (digger and trailer) in a future episode. Might also get some help laying the new floor - some of the stones are massive!
If you help with the fireplaces /RRRfireplaces/ can help
Intellegence appears to be lost these days. Your ripping this place to bits churning up loads of dust and no sign off any mask.
He's wearing a proper mask. You can see around five minutes and forty seconds in.
@@calpallouiseAs well as at various other times!.
Not to mention disregard for correct spelling
Tolong sediakan text indonesia🫰🏻
👍👍 I’ll be working through the subtitle options soon 🙏
