  • I used to know a chap in the UK who designed, built and tested Kevlar vests and he told me about this phenomenon years ago. I’d always tried to imagine what it must look like, until now….😮 what a mess it makes of your torso! Great video Scott, you’re looking well 👍

  • I'm not easily shocked but that was genuinely shocking. I've never seen a round with that much punch in my entire life. It essentially turned that flat plate into a huge cylinder that just damn near cut you in half. I imagine that's what it would look like if the Hulk just punched you square in the abdomen while wearing armor lol.

  • Technically, the manufacturer of that soft armor can now up-rate their vests to include "Will Stop 4-Bore" seeing as the vest did indeed stop the round....sure, the vest also went through the chest, but that's besides the point, it was caught successfully 😅

But I've listened to Joe Biden and Rachel Maddow enough to know that the "AR" in AR-15 stands for ARtillery! Also, AR-15 bullets are much larger than ^these 4 bore bullets!     • @@TheExplosiveGuy Yeah, before this, the most intense demonstrations I've seen of energy dump through a vest were with heavy duty 12 gauge shotgun slugs, but this is just on a whole other level. The shotgun slug would like break a couple of ribs or crack a sternum, certainly it could stop a heart if it hit in the right spot, but this thing just absolutely destroyed the entire chest cavity.

  • The 4 bore, the perfect home defence weapon. 1. It’s intimidating to look at. 2. Don’t need to be a marksman with it, hitting a limb will result in instant removal of that limb and hitting anywhere on the body even the very edge will result in removal/liquidation of most/all vital organs. 3. Body armor won’t help, it will only makes things worse. 4. It’s a 4 bore :)

And have fallout power armors in real life mostly means bullet resistant. Armor piercings from 50bmg and other high power calibers would still chew those pretty easily. If we are seeing those in battlefields im sure highcaliber blackpowder rifles are out of fashion anyway at that point :D
