A Stand for the Bandsaw WITHOUT a Bandsaw

I made a stand for my new bandsaw without using a bandsaw or a table saw. I used a very strong joint called Castle Joint. The wood is a cheap pine used for construction, all the material cost me about 15 euros.

  • No music, no tool pushing, just amazing craftsmanship and the sound of chiseling wood. Beautiful job, sir. New sub!

  • Using a small piece of squared wood to help line up the chisel is one of those super simple ideas that are genius and I never would have thought of doing that. Awesome video, awesome project and thanks for the unintentional tip! :D

  • That was the best woodworking I've seen on KZhead in a LONG time. Might match the best, or be the best I've ever seen.

  • Could you please make a video going over which tools you use for joinery and how you use them? I'm a beginner that isn't sure where to start.

  • So much to take in here. This video single handedly gave me the courage to start using a chisel. Immediately subscribed, liked, saved, and followed. Thank you for this amazing video. I also know how I’m going to remake my coffee table.

  • that joint is clever and cute - but IMO it won't take abuse from leg lateral loads bending the joint.

  • Hi Marson, what a beautiful job. Would you be able to add a link to the castors that you used? I want to make a drill press stand much the same way as this and I noticed that you had the sort of castors that I have been looking for. For such a great display of woodworking and because I now have a great guide on how to make a castle join, you have earned my subscription :-)
