@Kekistan Shitlord GoT tried very hard to be realistic for the first few seasons, minus a few fantasy elements. They only introduced teleportation as a form of travel in season 5-6.

I god honestly love that Ivar and Floki have a real father/son relationship. The fact that Floki can just call Ivar "a cripple bastard" while he has been struggling with that his whole life and Ivar just chuckles about it. Pure gold, that.
Most people, not including the spineless pc people prefer honesty. If you're crippled or you're fat or your disabled in some way, you know it. You know everyone else knows it, people bullshitting you about it doesn't make you feel good it makes you feel babied. People trust the person who's not afraid to say shit, because they know there's no bullshit. For instance, at work I got on an alley mack(an elevator during construction) and two big ass islanders got on. When the elevator went to start it didn't initially move. I looked at the guys and said "which one of you lads are holding the elevator down" at first they looked at me confused, then started laughing along with me, and every day after that they would always wave at me in the mornings and say hi and shit. I've trusts floki and one of the reasons is because he doesn't bullshit or baby him

@@GhostsOfTheAngelcynn Actually, running besides a chariot was the norm in the high of chariots. They are mobile fighting platforms, historically. Also, Ivar wouldn't want to outrun his own force. It would needlessly tire his horse for no advantage. Plus, as you said, he's in the woods.

There is a reason they didn’t use much bow and arrow . It required a lot of skill , practice , training and cost . And at this time most soldiers were peasant levies who in general possessed none of the above . But , during the Hundred Years’ War English used Longbows heavily .

Ivar was by far my most favourite character on the show, so vicious but actually a pretty reasonable and smart fellow. He deserved a spin off for himself.

What a beautiful and incredibly well written scene (and series!). Completely had me fooled until it was revealed. Floki's reaction, Aethelwulf, Ivar, everything was spotless. Perfect. Legendary series.

Fehu (the song) translates to Cattle. Which in Norse is a sign of wealth, luck and good fortune. Easy to see why they picked this song to go with this scene. Ivan was blessed with good fortune.

Some of you seem to be confused between “Throne of Kings” and the dramatic enactment of English history.
Floki actually had a son, his name is Ivar.
This is such a smart strategy picking off their numbers and having them fight angry.
It's not so much that Floki is outrunning the horse, it's that it is easier to navigate on foot through a forest full of trees than it is on a chariot. Ivar has to pick his route, Floki can just run. With that said, I'm sure Floki is fast. Sorry to be the buzzkill

Some people don't understand that "Vikings" isn't about Ragnar at all. He was supposed to die after season 1, since the show was meant to be about Ragnar's sons. My favorite character is Ivar by far. He is even cooler, smarter, better and more ruthless than Ragnar. So you can just thank the directors to extend Ragnar's life for 3,5 seasons longer than he was supposed to live. I mean, OF COURSE Ragnar was super cool and my favorite character to mid-season 4. But, the story after his death about all his son's, especially Ivar is even better

Smarter? Not really. Nobody can be as smart as ragnar in a way. Although battle wise Ivar is either just as good or better, but there's more to being smart than just being able to fight.
Ivar took the show far much better than Ragnar. I understand how people love Ragnar but Ivar was more ruthless than Ragnar. In the battlefield he was very brilliant and new how to outsmart the enemies. He's my best character in this serie

Everyone becomes pointless after Ragnar death, and Ivar is just an annoying character
He’s had some of the best development in the entire show. The Iceland storyline may not have been great, but I still love Floki and him discovering the cross was truly emotional. Love the fact that they didn’t have him go back to his old ways because that’s when it would’ve been a pointless storyline.

One thing when We see the saxons running to catch Ivar and then running to Repton You see They are very few compared to the Vikings. But in the episode after We see in the battle between them barely any of either are left in the Field. The saxons would barely make a dent based on How many We see them having when They run and especially not with all the losses They suffered from the arrows.
