We are very proud to raise and accompany the dragons for a total of 9 years.
From babies to grown-ups we've enjoyed adventurous moments - learning to fire blast, fly, hunt, dive, and fight. But we are especially proud of all the intimate moments when they first met Tyrion and Jon. And foremost of the tender, carefully orchestrated relationship to their mother Daenerys.
Being on this fantastic journey with Joe and Steve over all these years - a rarity in our current industry - makes us very proud!

I don’t like the way the story ended, but the CGI, costumes, set design, soundtrack, etc. in the last season are amazing😍I especially love the CGi dragons they look so good

Well, but i have seen a better dragon than this and it is O smaug from the hobbit movie..it is amazing
@@Hunter-tv3wh I cannot deny it, Smaug is amazing. But we're looking at two different Audiovisual media, I can't remember seeing dragons like those on TV series (even in the movies pheraps)... But I agree with you, Smaug is gorgeous. Now I'm excited to see what those VFX artists have made with King Ghdiroah.

1:12 The Maya rig...i guess it has a high degree of automation, i was expecting more controllers. The guy who did the skinning deserves all the respect :)

Great stuff as always. I wonder if it made sense to you guys how a dragon can get killed mid flight by a scorpion bolt shot from a ship that's supposed to be hiding in ambush? My puny brain can't wrap itself around that image.
We actually did not work on that killing shot. Another vendor did.

@@pixomondo well that explains why Rhaegal's model looks different from the one you guys had made for season 6 and 7.
@@panicabbie18 Season 7 dragons were done by Image Engine, Pixomondo and Rhythm and Hues.
@@vaneeuwen29422 I think they did a better Job, honestly. Drogon was a bit larger than his siblings and they show'd that size difference in season 7 a lot better. Season 8 gave us smaller dragons it seems.
Fantastic work. If only the story of the show wouldn't have been burnt down like Dany did with Kingslanding...

@Rush Rushed In order to accommodate the "in frame composition" , some graphic elements are always scaled up or down. Sometime people too are isolated and scaled in frame to +/- 15% , depending the shot. The composition is crucial and a lot of time and effort is spent even for no vfx movies to get the lighting or the arrangement correct. The basic rule of thirds for example is king and can be observed in any movie these days and in static shots lighting emphasizes elements of interest like characters eyes or expression, but with dynamic shots, things are more complicated.

If drogon was smart enough to burn the throne and not Jon, how could he possibly not be smart enough to not hunt down screaming women and children. Nothing about season 8 made sense, not even the dragons. It’s like they didn’t bother to think about it.
The dragon looks good than other movies except the one and it is (O smaugh) dragon from the movie of the hobbit of the battle of five armies... Weta digital is good at animals animation than pixomondo...but pixomondo is also good at some other works...
