I love the headset, but side note, if you use these for xbox one, you may want to try dolby atmos since the usb surround sound controller does not work with xbox.
I heard THX causes added stress, if my computer has Dolby atmos will these work with that special audio?

I bought a pair for $60 they were on sale from $100, the only down side i have is i play on xbox and i guess the thx usb amplifier dosent work on xbox i have to just plug straight into the controller it still sounds amazing i just i could get tjat little extra

Why would you want your game in one ear and your friends on the other... You can just use game audio and chat audio in both ears while also being able to hear exactly where your enemies are.

Purchased around 3 years ago for about 100$ USD (yikes) , I have not gone through a lot of headsets, but in my opinion I thought the audio quality was great even though a lot of people say the quality is trash I didn't really think so, however beware the mic is not bad, but very quiet and required me to tweak some stuff. A lot of my friends mentioned how quiet it was so I had to put max volume for my mic on everything. Had to also turn mic sensitivity max on razer synapse since sometimes it literally did not even pick up my voice. also a potential problem, in discord, it always shows the green outline when in a call, even though I am not talking/muted. THX spatial audio is inconsistent, it sometimes didn't even work even when the dot was lit green. Now, its time for me to retire this headset after the right side of the headphones stopped working. I guess at the price it's at in 2022 it's not a horrible option but expect issues. Upgrading to Sennheiser PC38X
How did you fix the mic? I'm currently having this issue
Anyone can help me out? i have a pair of these and the audio is always muffled. I had it fixed at one point, but it just reset and no settings are working now. Cant figure it out and all guides have lead to nothing
Be aware it has a very short cable if you plan to throw this around the jack may bend.

@GamerBot I recommend you to save more money and buy another for real. The THX installation is a headache, the THX sounds very flat on shooters but the surround sound 7.1 works pretty well. Also it says you have to pay for the THX system I think like 10bucks (I didn't pay). The construction seems very durable for the metal estructure. I am a bit disappointed for the THX performance but if you can save more money go and buy a better one. 😉👍🏼
I have a set of these, but cannot get the mic to work, on the games I play, Ark and The Forest, do you do a set up video on these, as I have had 3 different people try for me with no success, My pc is an i5 cpu, and im running windows10, I have know idea when it comes to pc, so I might be doing something wrong, I thought all headsets were plug & play. Yes I got my 12 year old a ps5, his grandmother has been the manager at Walmart for 25 years but we still almost missed them! They got 18 in the store one day, but we live in a very small town Appalachian area, I bought these for him before we knew we were able to get him a ps5 of I would've just got the sony white ones...

@@mihaelstanecic1044 i have both, the blackshark microphone v2x is way better and the sound is better on the blackshark v2 x, the only better point for the kraken is the usb amplifier with the chat mix. I know use the usb amplifier with my blackshark v2x :)

I pluflgged it to my PC today after unboxing and it installed its own software so I think it wont work on tv

However you can still use THX by pressing the button on the side of the remote.

I suggest you should just buy the razer nari ultimate it has haptic feedback and its blue tooth so you would hear the thx and bass even without a wire connecting to the computer
Default EQ bass is a little high for my tastes, but damn does it give some sound effects in games a kick
In case you didn't know, there's a wheel for bass on the remote. Adjust it to your liking or just turn it all the way down if the bass is a bit too high even on low.

Without the customizations on razer synapse the kraken is a downgrade'ish its not a big difference though
Amazing headset in 2022. I just bought one new for 44.99 on the walmart app
Bought them last week coming from Razer Kraken USB with Dolby Atmos and i got tottally dissapointed from THX... The sound is simply horrible and there is no accuracy in the surround... If i could ban Razer from selling them i would do it! Tried hundreds of settings to like them but to no avail... Changed them today in the store with the Blackshark V2 and i am super Happy!
The THX doesn’t seem to work on my Xbox. It makes noise when I change volume but nothing from my Xbox

It does not. It has a slider that can decrease game volume and raise chat volume and vice versa but not separate sliders. Also the THX doesn't work on Xbox.

There is an application (on pc) called ear trumpet, it can turn down the volume of different applications.

I just had a hyper x headset and i was pretty happy with it for a couple years, sadly my jack got bent and is starting to split.. but hyper x is a good option if you prefer it

razer nari is better it has haptic touch it vibrates when there's an explosion in your game or movie its very immersive except it's wireless.

Looking for some help here especially since u mentioned MW. I have an issue where I have everything cranked to the max, my footsteps alone are loud as hell, everything else sounds like it has a wool blanket over it. Enemy footsteps are nonexistent till they are on top of me. I barley hear fire whizz by, or I'll se a grenade icon before I hear it hit the ground. My own weapon sounds like it's at 25% volume.
Good example. If I use an ax50. The sound of me chambering the next round is 2-3x louder than the gunshot itself

@@lacey_lufc5475 it was the Kraken Tournement Edition. I ended up returning them for a Logitech Pro X headset, always had logitech up to this point, just traded for the razer cause my keyboard and mouse are same brand, figured it would be easy to control everything from the synapse. Wasn't so.

@@lacey_lufc5475 well theres the kraken, kraken TE, the kraken TEX I think. I wasn't very satisfied with the product honestly. Alot of my friends like em tho! Should definitely tests em urself and keep that receipt. Always better to play it safe with sound tech cause everyone hears things different

I own the headset and It’s actually really good had it for about 2 months microphone a little quiet not bad but for me the headset gets a little uncomfortable sometimes cause I game for a while

@@icytiz_plus3743 microphone is very clear, this was my main struggle with my past headphones ! You can customize the sensitivity. I have a mechanical keyboard and I managed to have a clear voice without capturing the noise of my keyboard. For the sound, I suggest you use the THX settings and not the surround 7.1 app. I am not a sound expert, but there is a little difference. THX is a little bit more immersive for gaming, but it seems to reduce or alter some type of sounds (for example, the sound of the waves when playing Sea of Thieves, they seem a little bit more muffled)...but for me it's totally fine, I got used because it was not a big deal ! Hope this will help you. I think the price is worth it :)

Anyone that has this, is it an aluminum frame? I don't want thin plastic like I had with the ultralight variant.
The middle on each cup is plastic (the outer middle but the parts where the headphones change level from 1 2 3 4 and 5 is aluminum and the outer circular part is also aluminum
