Hey! The game saves once you reach a level transition. To start playing from there the next time, just launch the server via one of the .bats that contains the name of the location you were heading to in it. All the .bats can be found in the bin folder! :)

Yeah, this will help a lot more people out. Al though i highly suggest waiting about 6 more months for the devs to polish it and fix all the bugs. The graphics, gunplay and just gameplay in general is already amazing but some major bugs and glitches cause it to be kind of unplayable and not a good experience yet
Yeah, being able to save and reliably bring gear to the next area is a bit of a deal breaker.

we managed to get much further in our play-through today! had a blast!! Its deff playable now after some tinkering, but i agree with you, after some polish it will be glorious!

@@zanerogers7119 Me and my friend just had constant crashes. His whole pc like completely froze 2 times within just 2 hours of playing. Also, basically saving works by changing the level and going into the next area, the game will save your inventory and your objective progression and then you have to restart your server and start on the next map.

its a lil convoluted, but essentially the game saves at each level transition. To start playing from the level that u ended on, launch the server with the .bat that has the name if the location you were travelling to. All the .bats are in the bin folder, just find the one with the level name u need
The Mod itself is awesome but economy (price of sold items and added money after death etc) its kinda break the s.t.a.l.k.e.r experience. Also it would be nice to see support for more languages.

its a modified version of the SoC main story, still pretty limited, need some updates. Right now you can play up to yantar.

hey! unfortunately in its current state, only the server host can interact with quest givers. Its a lil bit frustrating but we were still able to play through all the way to yantar.

hey just wanna ask does this also work with hamachi vpn or only radmin?
have not tired it with hamachi personaly, but other people have had problems when not using radmin
how can you progress through the levels with the inventory?me and my friend tried to go to garbage and the game afterwards crashed.
make sure the /game folder and all its sub folders are not set to read-only. if that doesnt work try disabling your firewall.

Hi, thanks for guide. Sadly I'm getting a crash as host when trying to leave the first region. See the saving items messaged but then crashes to desktop and sever down too, any help would great.
i was having the same issue and the only thing that seemed to work for me was a fresh install. Its a very buggy mod, still needs some work )
Is there a way to fix the mission names and the dialog with the npc s? for me there are some words associated with them with _ between
try changing the language in xrmpe launcher back and forth a few times, thats the only thing i can think of, i have not bumped into that bug
is it possible to save a game? cuz everytime when I stop playing and closing a game and server I have to start from the beginning
game saves at level changes and if you want to start from that point you have to start the server with the corresponding .bat file, the one that contains the name of the location you saved on.

The saving is kinda there. The game *should* save your inventory and story progress every time you reach a level transition. To load the save next time you play, launch the server via the .bat that has the name of the location you were travelling to when you stopped playing. You can find all the .bats in the bin folder. For example startdedicated_coop_soc_6bar.bat Hope this helps :)

Hey, my friend and i were having the same problem for a while, tried lots of troubleshooting, in the end i think a reinstall fixed it. Also make sure your gamefolder isnt set to read only. :)
Is there any way to save your progess (Edit) there is a way that the game saves it but it’s far from perfect in its current state and I find myself loosing items frequently even though it’s supposed to save before transition

saving works when changing locations, if you changed location and logged off, when u are ready to play again use the provided .bats for the various locations and you will spawn there with your loot.

How do I close the server? When I close the game, the X-Ray window with that red text is still on the screen, and for some reason it ignores the "close" button. Should I always use task manager for that?

@turbomatix Radmin causes my friends a lot of lag for no reason and I was looking for an alternative. We both have good connections and it's even worse on hamachi. I have added the game's port as UDP in my router but how do I open the server? If I change local host in .bat then the server crashes or starts for a second and then closes itself. Thanks for the answer!
@@artikreven not sure unfortunately, never had to troubleshoot port forwarding for this game. If you guys are using radmin, only the person who is joining has to edit the .bat, the host should just be able to connect once the server is up

not sure about minimum req but its not that demanding i dont think. As per the saves, the game will save your inventory and quest progression at each level transition. no need to worry! Its tried and tested, you need Radmin vpn to host the dedicated server, radmin itself is a very light and simple program, been around for ages now! :) As for the game itself, its a mod for a standalone stalker multiplayer project caled XrMpe

thats strange, try downloading it again and make sure the folder you are installing it to is not set to read only in folder properties.
Hi, im unable to install the actual shadow of coop from the launcher because the speeds are at 10kb/sec. I have glass fiber internet so its not the problem, any ideas?
just press the isntall button and let it do its thing, it can feel like its hanging but it will speed up and complete, if it gets stuck stuck, restart launcher and it should fix it

it saves when you transition levels if everything was installed correctly. To load from the level that u logged off on you just launch the server through the .bat that contains the locations name in it and then just join like you normally would.

@@RocketReelsEN the host has to start the server with one of those bat files. They are located in the bin folder and which one you use depends on what level you left off on, just looks at the name. That bat will start the server, then just join like u normally would.

how do I make it english. Its english in the launcher but when I launch the server and game its in russian?
after changing it in the launcher, launch the game without launching the server just so you can access the main menu. In the main menu, "options" should be the 2nd button from the top, once in options, the "game" settings is the third button from the left. Once in game settings you should see a drop down menu with ENG & RUS options ) hope that helps!

sounds like a problem with the xrmpe installation, i would try re installing the launcher and making sure you let the launcher install all updates to the game.

So I had some crashing when talking to NPC. Which I did end up fixing and figuring out using discord issues from previous stuff. Now all I have so far is things glitching through the walls like the dogs and enemny NPCs shooting me through walls and such lol.

make sure both host and guest disable windows firewall. And make sure the radmin server is online and the guest is connected to it.

Can someone help me with this trouble when I open the batch file (Подключиться к серверу) to change the graphics settings or to lower the graphic settings it just gives me the error "Your video card doesn't meet game requirements", and "Try to lower game settings" which I am and just gives me the black screen and the error, can you maybe help me with this one?
hmmm that's a strange one. Try launching the game through the xrmpe launcher first, change the settings and then re launch via the .bat files

How do I keep my graphic settings saved after relaunching?, im also crashing when talking to people in 1920x1080. also where should The host (me) start my game from to join the server. also my inventory didnt save and missions :(
to set your graphics, launch the game via the "Подключиться к серверу.bat" located in the game folder. Set your settings and then quit. Then once you have your radmin server up and running, launch the gamer server via the "Запуск сервера.bin" located in the bin folder, then connect via the Подключиться к серверу.bin once more.

Have not tried hamachi for this game personally, but other people report having problems with it. and the game is very buggy as is, so if you want to make sure everything works id just use radmin )

go to settings in xrmpe launcher and change your game language to English as well. then restart the launcher, and then launch game like u normally would )
when i launch the russian named bat file for start server it doesnt show me those red codes it just shows me other codes like yellow and green ones. And the game doesnt launch when launching the bat file pls help
the letters in the server box dont really matter, its ok if you dont see any of the red. After launching the server, are you joining through the "Подключиться к серверу.bat" that is located in the /game folder?

Hey! In the /game folder you should see a folder called /_appdata_server, and in there there is a /save folder. Just delete the save folder and u good to go :)

Start the server, connect to lobby, from there disconnect to main menu, press play and set your name, check the remember box and it should save.
