That's what happens if a game is mod friendly. If Battlefield 3 or 4 or 5 or whatever had mod support they also would live for a lot longer. Check out Project Reality they use Battlefield 2 the last mod friendly Battlefield game.

I LOVE THIS MODPACK!! one of my best moments is when I was in a tunnel somewhere in the red forest area and I was hiding behind a minecart with a near broken l85a2 with 4 bullets left in my only mag. I had heard a big firefight to the north and I was heading away from it, but as I walked further through the tunnel I could see someone head lamp bobbing around and ran back to the minecart around the bend. I get there and as I get into cover I hear someone shouting and they start walking through the entrance towards me, so I lay down and peak him through a gap in the minecart and use 3 out of 4 of the remaining 5.56x45 I had. Then what do I hear, 6+ duty members start running round the corner having heard the gunshots. So I get to the other side of the cart where the loner I killed was and had to deal with having my back to the entrance where I could still hear the odd gunshot. Now I'm stressing, 1 bullet for maybe 10 guys. I search the guys body and he had some old 9x18 and a close to broken pistol I could use. So I'm hiding and frantically loading this old pistol with the rounds as I see the headlamps light on the walls getting closer, just hearing the clicks of loading the mag and the footsteps coming towards me was scary as fuck. I manage to reload it in time and lay down like the first time and kill the first 2 guys with headshots, honestly I have no idea how it didn't jam but I managed to get another guy as well. I'm running out o ammo and there's still lots of guys coming for me and I'm hearing someone running up behind me I turn around shitting myself but he just runs past me and starts blasting all the others with his shotgun and kills almost all of them before dying. I managed to loot one of the bodies of the guys he just killed and found an Ak74 with a solid amount of rounds left and killed the last guy, there was one more but I think he fell through the gap in the floor because there were two bodies down there when I looked. Turns out the guy who helped me was also a merc and happened to be one of them that was fighting in the red forest that I had heard before. What a great soldier, I think he was the guy I gave a boar hide or something as well.

Class story man...That's what I love about the Stalker games. There is a ton of emergent gameplay simply created with good pathing AI and detailed, realistic mechanics and soundscape for things to happen organically. It feels like if that is nailed down in a game world?...the rest just becomes happenstance. That's what immersion becomes. It will be interesting to see how the OG devs adapt with UTE5. I mean even the likes of CDPR are now going the UTE5 route along with a lot of big devs. If anything... it'll allow longevity with modding which can only be a good thing as perfectly shown here. This STALKER game engine is nearly 24 years old from it's earliest build. SO I may nostalgically miss the X-RAY engine...but if they built that on their terms then? I'm confident that GSC can do a hell of a lot more on UTE5. I was glad to hear the the Devs have relocated out of their real life conflict zone in Kyiv for now, and hope to see a future classic in STALKER 2: HOC. Gonna now reinstall anomaly here and get to modding I guess!

Thanks for the vid!! I was holding back on this, since I was still in the middle my Anomaly story playthrough. Just finished it and now on my free roam playthrough with EFP3.0. I must say it’s pretty good. Before, I only was using Provaks and after couple of hours of EFP I must say I’m very suprised. I was afraid this modpack would turn stalker into Tarkov, but in reality it just adds some little things that make it a bit better. It’s also nice that you can choose what mods are active. Currently I’m running all mods in the pack except the skill system (which just doesn’t feel good in a stalker game) and the pda vibration (I just can’t live without that familiar beep).
Awesome video. Your presentation of Anomaly mods / gameplay is always top-notch. Im gonna go and download the mod right now. Also I would love to see you play through the EFP3.0 story mode. OperatorDrewski did a similar series for vanilla Anomaly.

The current line up of mod packs are all worthy because each one has an experience to offer, additionally they introduce one to the STALKER universe. A few years ago I used to play Stalker Call of Chernobyl but never got around to finish it, now this mod seems like the next best thing to try. It looks so well flushed out and advanced. I feel sorry for having to let go of Call of Chernobyl but since it's not updated anymore that is fine, what I feel most pity to is that I hadn't been able to finish it but then again. It's time for something new, and Anomaly and Escape from Pripyat seem the way to go.
well, Anomaly is technically a brand new games with much more freeplay, while the vanilla Stalker will have the gameplay similar with Metro. one big map, free to roam and kill with quests here and there
@@lethanglong6979 Yes, Anomaly is something that I really wanted to try, I have played it for about 15 minutes until I choose to give Escape From Pripyat a try and I must say it's really nice. There are some features in it that I really like and same goes for Anomaly too. I think I will try to play them both since after playing EFP for a few hours I already got the hang of it and it's really engaging but not as ''arcade'' as Anomaly in which sense I like that one too because for instance of the pROvAK’s Weapon Overhaul that gives many weapons which I really like to use which isn't available for EFP. EFP is much more like a survival sim that I like as well :D The Zone is legendary.

This looks awesome, I recently re-played all the stalker games with some mod to update them, and had a blast. Currently playing GAMMA now, and it is blowing me away. Would like to check this out too at some point. Can you switch between mods? Since Anomaly and Gamma use MO2 and to play GAMMA, you have to select the right profile to activate the mods. Is it the same for EFP? Could you just turn off GAMMA and turn on EFP?
This has been my goto modpack for Anomaly since the moment I turned it on. It's everything I love about Stalker and Tarkov all rolled into one badass single player experience. And using A-Life overhaul to have story and warfare at the same time is fun af. But in my experience this past couple weeks, its not a simple "check off" for mods I dont want. I mean, not really. The ones under "optional" are a simple check, but things like Health Overhaul and Magazines are in the "EFP" category, and it seems theyve done a lot of editing to get mods to play nice. I ended up just downloading all my favorites from it, and made a new MO2 instance for anomaly so I can have a version that doesnt punish me through health and ammo management when I'm feeling a tad vanilla lol. To this day, I havent completed story mode, so I keep my own loadout for the story playthrough I'm doing, and I use EFP when im playing purely for funsies, cos magz and locational damage + effects are boss af

EFP is cool, but ever since I tried GAMMA (modpack from Grok, author of many well know and used addons) It currently has more than 250 addons and still growing. It is not like EFP, which has the idea to look like EFT, but has it’s own idea to make progression much more interesting.

I am loving these mod packs, Essentially a single-player EFT is so much fun. I have one question then when I engage a stalker I see their name and health bar in the top corner, is there a way to turn that off, and if so how?
Check the mod manager, it has every single mod added and you can disable the mod that adds it from there.
Turn off enemy health bars in UI settings in-game

Been some what enjoying EFP. My only downside (not sure if its mod related) is after an emission i was permanently taking damage overtime and none of my meds were fixing the problem lol. Wish stalker/anomaly had more of a indication of WHY your losing health and maybe like what could help……i know i know…thats too easy specially for stalker, but i need at least one easy thing in the game lol

This mod take some elements from misery mod it's good experience to have them on free roam gameplay and I already had too many times play call of Chernobyl and This mod is more like hardcore version of call of chernobyl with better graphic.

not sure if this requires stalker anomaly or if it is its own thing, in any case anomaly is a free standalone mod, you dont need to buy any of the official stalker games to play. currently looking to get into the game via this mod myself, just having trouble finding a download, as the only place that seems to have it is the discord server, but dont really want to join just for a stupid download. might try just base anomaly if i cant find what i'm looking for.
I certainly cannot recommend Escape From Pripyat 3.0 enough for all the old and new people in STALKER Anomaly out there . . . Having played through versions 2.0 and 2.5 Release Candidate 3 i can say it is BY FAR a huge improvement in gameplay perspective, and, as you mentioned, all the hard work has been done for you. Mods like having a shortcut to attach and detach scopes on your weapons make close quarter encounters less slugish, hard ceramic plates that can block projectile impacts until they are depleted / compromised, the user-friendly actor menu based off of the Modern UI 2 (this time it can work properly on D3D9), neutral Rostok when you are in good terms with the Duty and the new Garbage entrance make getting to the Bar way more interesting, Exoskeleton power supply units that offer interesting characteristics (and definitely did not take 60 days in my game to craft one), a long stated companion teleport keyboard shortcut AND companion(s) inventory as well as their increased damage resistance made creating your squad that much more interesting . . . Nobody can simply put how much effort has been made to make this as easily enjoyable and straight-forward as possible. Is the reason why videos like this exist afterall, you have to experience it for yourself! Anything in the modpack you can modify and add or remove for personal use, author of this video said he had 235 addons installed . . . I ended up with 285 addons! Something refreshing coming from Anomaly 1.5.1 honestly, and i was very glad to be called by the anteceeding community manager as a tester for the Escape From Pripyat project (Minotaur21) . . . Thanks to the current one (Maid) many things turned out great for me when modifying the game, even if my field of knowledge never really was necessary for 3D videogames in the first place.
Amazing work on their part, seriously. A lot of the mods in EFP are mods that I have NEVER been able to play nice with eachother. I can tell they've done some extensive modifications to make these all work flawlessly. I notice for some reason, Motion Blur actually works properly with EFP (for when im using laptop battery with 40fps), and I never get FDDA putting my character in a worthless state when i attempt to open backpack or bandage. Sometimes FDDA animation make my character put their gun away and just sit there, I can get shot and die, but I can pause, I cant save, and sometimes when quickload actually works it simply crashes. I still cant figure out how to fix it outside of shutting off pickup and backpack animations . I mean, that doesnt stop it from happening when I slap f1 for bandages, i think maybe its because i accidentally mash f1 and f2 so its trying bandage and medkit at the same time? who knows. But EFP hasnt given me this problem ever, only my own derpy mod loadouts apparently lol

im new to modding and im quite confused, i just got expedition mod installed into stalker so can you install the escape from pripyat mod into the stalker expedition game to play it together or you cannot play any mods together and i have to play escape from pripyat on its own without the expedition?
you cant play two mods together. if you have the addon then you can apply addons into a mod, taken that addon works well with the mod. but you cant use two mods together.

Do all those ballistic mods like grogs, stamina overhauls (uphill walking, muddy roads etc), armor speed penalties, magazine management, body damage etc. etc. also affect the NPCs? Because my biggest gripe with these mods is when they only affect you as the player while NPCs blast away with bigger stats, easier armor penetration, no stamina debuffs, unlimited magazines, you know where I'm going at. This would decide for me whether I want to play this modpack or stick with my own customized mod selection. I want STALKER to feel hardcore but I want it to be equally hardcore for NPCs as well, otherwise the game starts to feel like an unnecessary chore and the gameplay becomes extremely unfair and breaks immersion, when you get the feeling that a Trainee NPC performs better and easier than your Veteran character, making you feel like a total wimp.

They have this terrible attitude of instead of making a proper AI or making it equally hardcore, the AI has lots and lots and lots of buffs and cheats while you just suffer for no reason. Any victory doesn't matter because you always feel like trash anyway

There are some fixes I recommend. If nothing else, get the GBO/WPO damage fix, so that bad guns early game aren't absolutely gimped if they have a bad barrel. Also, disable Loot Claim. Sure, it's nice, but it causes crashes.
I much prefer the full Expedition mod.. Not only does it do just about all of the same stuff as the EFP mod but it also goes beyond a reshade and completely overhauls the visuals and lighting.
Nah, we tweaked sooo much stuff + We still actively update everything. You can install ES and other stuff on top of EFP and have everything you want of both.
@@vincentpeisert as previously stated the full Expedition mod, not just the graphics settings available on ModDB, already provides everything I want from EFP plus the additional updates to graphics and lighting. My goal is to experience STALKER with some quality of life improvements, not play Escape From Tarkov in The Zone. 🤷♂️

The problem is with the optimisation. EFP 2.5 was incredibly stable, but 3.0 stops my gpu after a couple of hours of playing or when entering a badly optimised level (Red Forest, Dead City).

I love EFP, but it has its flaws. GAMMA and Expedition are good alternatives, but with EFP, you get a challenging experience with EFT bells and whistles. I like how customizable and stable it is, but if you don't spend a bit of time tweaking, you might not enjoy some of the mod combinations. The hit effects specifically really put me off at first, and I know some sacrifices with FDDA had to be made, but I do really miss the backpack and cigarette animations. I am pretty new to STALKER, but I am curious as to why EFP gets a bit of hate, it seems this video received a tiny bit as well, and people seem to prefer other modpacks I mentioned. I want to do a few runs in EFP before moving on to Expedition and GAMMA, and I feel like EFP is a good modpack to start your journey into Anomaly modding. I love the mechanics and the tweaks you can do in MCM. I have a feeling though that you can get what EFP offers in GAMMA with the mechanics though without some of the bloat. I think that might be a reason people do not prefer EFP, because other modpacks offer the same difficulty and mechanics tweaks along with gameplay mods that give the same sort of Tarkov experience without some of the jank. I feel like EFP is awesome though just because to me it feels like the definitive Tarkov modpack. Maybe someone will make a better alternative in the future that will trump it though. btw thank you for a new STALKER video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! keep up the great work!
I don't personally like EFP, and feel like I can give some insight as to why it's disliked: STALKER is STALKER. Tarkov is Tarkov. The EFP modpack has gotten a somewhat bad rap from how many of it's proponents assert it as 'better' than other modpacks, or that Stalker is inherently improved by transplanting Tarkov mechanics. A lot of veteran stalker players vehemently disagree with the idea that transplanting bits of another game into Stalker is an objective improvement, and would rather that stalker feel like stalker, not like Tarkov. I personally have no problem with Tarkov, or the existence of the EFP mod pack. I just don't like it and don't like the way it tends to be marketed. I had much the same problem with Misery and Dead Air, where it no longer felt like STALKER to me, due to underlying mechanical changes. Anomaly is 'acceptable', if only because while it makes many of the same sorts of changes as Misery did, most of them can be either turned off or marginalized, and it's also FAR more stable than CoC is, owing to the updated fork of X-ray that is in use. Anomaly provides a wonderful baseline package to customize with your own tweaks. Modpacks like GAMMA, AREA, and EFP, on the other hand, provide a more tailored experience that is generally not to my liking, and that changes enough mechanics that it no longer feels like stalker. Seeing those modpacks constantly get hawked as inherently better is annoying. I personally dislike Provak's modpack, although for some different reasons (namely, it advertises itself as a weapon-focused pack, yet also has a bunch of feature changes baked in, in a way that makes untangling things much harder than simply doing your own merges.
I play with the Expedition mod and absolute love the experience!
@@Broken_Orbital Expedition is nice, but unless they've gone back and fixed the issues, it is still a bit iffy with regards to the broken stuff that is left in it, like the AK-74 crash and the wrongly placed animation files for the SCAR. To say nothing of it's default reshade settings being in screenshot mode, rather than in 'playable game' mode, with neo-bloom washing out text. If you are going to be putting up a modpack, maybe make sure it's actually playable out of the box, rather than liable to result in someone who doesn't know much about modding stalker with a broken mess when they eventually run into one of the showstoppers. I also dislike the way they 'removed' the ui. If you don't know what you are looking for in the files, it's nigh-impossible to get your hud back. Then there's the issue of it having significant and unexplained performance issues with warfare mode. At the end of the day, making your own mod pack is a far better option than trying to 'unscrew' other's mod packs to get them working the way you want.
@@jtnachos16 I haven't experienced any weapon issues in my playthrough with Expedition and the bloom is easily adjustable making text legible again. I also enjoy the more immersive HUDless experience with Expedition so I'm not really worried about digging around files to get it back 🤷♂️. I don't recall making the claim that Expedition was the best, or even better than EFP, but it does provide an experience I enjoy and just happen to prefer over EFP.
Why is no one talking about Anomaly Redux? It's a great improvement with a lot of add-ons and atmosphere is on point, STALKER atmosphere, not Tarkov. With great guns too.

efp 3.0 is by far the best/bugfree/working modpack out there that also gets updated regulary. In short there is no better modpack right now.

Hello and welcome, to EXCAPE...
Hopefully it fixes bullet sponge and distance accuracy on npcs. So many times I've unloaded either clips/rounds into npc heads with a fully upgraded SVD "lynx", AK-74m, MK 14 EBR. With both EP and AP rounds. F9 then they die with one shot to the head. As well as across the map shots from shotguns on trainee bandits while i im zoomed in with the SVD "Lynx". Does it also fix enemies seeing through scrub/trees/walls? Does it improve warfare mode? i love Stalker Anomaly I just find the AI to be either extremely dumb or like heatseeking missiles.
