If you’d like to see the car in action a bit without the wrap on it, my coworkers and I made this silly video that features it quite a bit: kzhead.info/sun/ib2idMWhkZd_mYE/bejne.html Feel free to skip to the 1:37 mark since that’s where the Jag actually gets moving.
I'm looking for an older jag like this for spring road trips. Gorgeous.
Thank you! It’s an amazing road trip GT to say the least 🤘
thanks again for putting those videos up. I did purchase the other xkr, but I do love the look of yours. I'm going to poke around at your other videos and see if you have info about the wraps. It really looked good! -Jered in NC
This is literally the entire livestream of when we wrapped my car and all the info regarding the products used: kzhead.infoklrCRVgCbaY?feature=share
Beautiful car, love the color especially. The blinking light though, would make me quickly descend into madness lol
Very Nice!
Thank you!
Hey my man, I currently have a 2015XKR and yours looked like it was lowered and I thought I heard you say something about new springs? If it was lowered, can you please tell me the set-up you went with? How bad did it change the ride as I know it had to of made it a bit harsher? Something I also found interesting if I'm right about it being lowered, is you didn't space out the wheels and I can't believe I think I like that look better, well, at least on this car. Haha, one more thing, I've never liked any aftermarket wheels on this car, but again, loved the ones I saw on it in you and your buddies other vid! You have style for sure, well, not sure I would have changed the evil black for the green, but that's just me. Beautiful ride either way!
Hi! I had spacers on the front wheels, despite them being stock, (Pretty large, like 1.5" or so) but the rears were just wheels with no spacers. As far as lowering goes, the car was already lowered when I bought it so I can't really comment on whether the ride got that much worse or not. It was a little firm but still very adaptive and compliant in a GT sort of way. Thanks for the compliments! While I don't have this XKR anymore, I have an F-Type R Coupe now. In many ways it feels similar, but in other ways I actually miss aspects of the XKR's interior space and road presence.
@Gr8DaneFilms I was more referring to the aftermarket wheels you had on it in your friend's vid when it was black, but was probably the same...thanks for the reply!
@@Beemernow oh gotcha! Yeah when the Advanti Racing wheels were on there, I didn’t use any spacers at all. That was just the width of the wheels. Front and back were both about an inch wider than stock.
Where did u get a custom exhaust done on it?. I have a 2013 XKR and I have been looking for an exhaust. Do you have any suggestions?
A local shop called Boise Muffler did the exhaust for this Jag. I had them basically re-do the full exhaust from the cats back, including adding a 16” Magnaflow X-Pipe that went out to the oversized quad tips. While every custom job is going to differ a bit, I definitely recommend the x-pipe for sound purposes! 👍
I owned this model 2011 XKR. but with 20 inch wheels and optional 20 inch rims.... only issue i had was the out dated GPS system, it used 2d CD's, each covered half the united states, so if you started out in NY headed for the west coast you must change CD's half way there....... I AM VERY INTERESTED IN THIS CAR SO I NATURALLY HAVE QUESTIONS i liked answered..... ---The rear trunk is missing the chromed full size jaguar image that is placed with the word Jaguar, and just below the right rear tail light the original chromed emblem were JUST the letters XKR, What if any are the reasons for these differences and the 3rd and 4th questions are how many miles on this car and what are you looking to get price wise? ....5th question is there a quality prem. warranty that YOU purchased still active on this car WHICH can be transferred to a new owner and if so, what are the miles under warranty and when will it expire time wise?....THANK YOU
Hi! The whole car has been vinyl wrapped to make it green like you see in my pics and video. The car is just the normal black paint underneath. When a car is wrapped properly, the badges are removed. This is why you don’t see the normal badge over there. (I opted for an “R” badge that I preferred and adhered it over the wrap in the same spot. The chrome strip on the back you’re thinking of is still there, but I had it wrapped in a carbon fiber print to better-fit the nature of the wrap on the rest of the car. In addition to that strip I also had the side vents wrapped in carbon fiber and replaced the hood vents with actual carbon fiber vents as well as carbon fiber mirror covers. (Also I had the chrome around the windows wrapped black) As far as the wheels are concerned, the ones you see in the video are the factory 20” wheels that I use for wintertime with studded winter tires, whereas I also have a wider, custom bronze set of 20” 5-spoke wheels you can see in my listing that are the spring-summer-fall set with continental extreme sport contact summer tires. Lastly, I didn’t receive any sort of warranty when I bought the car and there is no warranty associated with it. The car has 97,9XX miles on it and I’m asking a very reasonable $22k for it currently. (Feel free to refer to my listing if you want more details) I hope that helps!
2011 Did not come with the leaper on the rear for some reason (I have the base XK). You can get them cheap on ebay if you want one.
@@GetOffMyyLawn correct, which was why I added one on the back for fun after I got the car wrapped.
I have a 2010 Conv… and love mine! Did you end up selling yours and were you satisfied with the price? Mine had 45k miles and in great shape so I figure worth 29-31k if I sold.. which I have zero intention of doing as I’m in love lol. Thx for the video. Hope you like the F-Type. Cheers-
What exhaust do you have on the Jaguar XKR and where did you get it please?
It was a custom job I had done locally at Boise Muffler. It’s basically 3” pipe all the way back with a 16” Magnaflow X-pipe in the center and 4” quad tips at the rear.
Where did the get the carbon fiber mirror covers? I want those on mine
I’d had those for quite awhile, but I believe I either got them on eBay or via this Mina Gallery listing: minagallery.com/jaguar-xk-xkr-xkr-s-real-carbon-fiber-mirror-cover-finishers-2010-newer/
Is the car sold? I would assume so as the video is three months old. I love the wrap, please share the total cost of the wrap. I am buying an XKR and can’t find a color I love, but your’s is gorgeous.
Hi Scott, you're correct that the car already sold-- As for the wrap, that was actually something that didn't cost me anything because I volunteered the car for a wrap demonstration taught by one of the best vehicle wrappers in the world, (Justin Pate of the Wrap Institute) along with several talented local wrappers. The color is called "Hidden Forest Green" SW900 vinyl film by Avery Dennison: metrorestyling.com/products/avery-dennison-sw900-colorflow-gloss-hidden-forest-vinyl-wrap-sw900-789-s Here's a link to the livestream of the actual process we did on the car: kzhead.infoklrCRVgCbaY?feature=share&t=289
Thank you for your reply. Are you in ohio? I am and may buy a black with tan interior XKR but would consider a wrap to the Hidden Forest Green. A local friend had a Porsche 911 wrapped for $3000-$4000. Is that your understanding of the costs? Scott
Idaho, actually and yes that sounds fairly typical for a higher quality wrap job. Some can be less expensive but it all depends on the amount of labor needed and the complexity of the work. (As well as the raw materials cost)
Hello, where u get the aluminium Center console from ?
That was OEM, the car had it when I got it.
Any particular reason for the wrap? Clean Carfax?
Yes, it has a clean Carfax! 👍 And the wrap was done because I had always wanted the Jag to be green- The black paint underneath is totally fine for it’s age, nothing out of the ordinary, I just prefer to have a green car. You can actually watch the whole wrap process here so you can see what it looked like before and after: kzhead.infoklrCRVgCbaY?feature=share Additionally, here’s my crew and I then applying a high end coating to the car awhile later: kzhead.infoluhLjgsduWQ?feature=share
Also, if you’d like to see the car in action a bit without the wrap on it, my coworkers and I made this silly video that features it quite a bit: kzhead.info/sun/ib2idMWhkZd_mYE/bejne.html Feel free to skip to the 1:37 mark since that’s where the Jag actually gets moving.
Was that oem color or a wrap? Love it
It's a chroma shift wrap
It’s the standard Black you see on a lot of XKRs underneath! The wrap itself is Avery Dennison SW900 Hidden Forest Green Metallic.

I have a 2004 XKR similar green w/ black & tan interior. Currently at 51,000 Kms.
Nice! Love the green on those!
I Wish I Could Get a 2014 Racing Green XKR.
They’re just such beautiful, elegant cars 👍
@@Gr8DaneFilms Touche' (smile)
Is this still available?
Sorry it was sold awhile back!
I'm interested in this car if it's still available.
Hi! Unfortunately, I sold the car a few months back, so it already has a new home. Have a great day, though!
Hello, super late but what wheels are those?
Hi! They're actually OEM stock wheels for the car from Jaguar. If you want to look them up, they're called the "Nevis" and they're 20x8.5" for the fronts and 20x9.5" for the rears.
@@Gr8DaneFilms thank you so much, they are damn near perfect! What did you lower your car on? Its damn near perfect and I want to model mine after this
Honestly don’t know since the car was already lowered when I bought it, but I know they were just lowering springs because the struts were all stock to maintain the adaptive controls. When I replaced this car with my F-Type R, I lowered that car on Velocity AP progressive lowering springs in order to softer the ride around town while improving cornering balance. They work great!
@@Gr8DaneFilms thank you!
I can’t believe your video popped up on my KZhead 🤧🤧🤧 I’m trying to move on
Sorry man!
I don’t see the selling price anywhere.
The car has since sold for $22k
To all your comments, I have " and still have a Jag - it's 6 years old. has not cost me !!! only some wiper blade's? but my jag is only a 3-liter???? a - 5.0L may cost a lot IF something does go wrong.
You roll the dice on any used car, but I've had a 2010XK and now a 2015XKR and except for the driver seat losing its memory, I haven't had a lick of trouble out of either, and my XKR is tuned with smaller upper pulley and it gets beat on...JustSaying
still available?
Yes it is, although someone came and took a look at it this afternoon and they were seriously interested afterwards. Time will tell!
@@Gr8DaneFilms Good luck, please post a video of your new F-Type R.
Whenever the time comes I certainly will 👍👍
Supercharging the 5 litre XK is unnecessary on public roads as the normally aspirated car is quite fast enough. More power than the standard car has is truly superfluous.
Get outa here nerd. MO POWA BABY!!!!!
Well, the supercharger is stock, sooo… 😅
Please turn in your man card immediately 😂
Wasn’t it easier just to say that you are a homosexual instead of writing stupid shit?
The wrap will ruin the value
Wraps are temporary, so it’s hardly a deal killer for the right person. Case in point: I ended up selling the car for my asking price without issue. 🤷🏻♂️
