    • Cool at$750/pair intro price (will go up) and I like the short height around 12in, but I prefer the JBL L52 at $1k/pair as I've already listened to them and they were musical. I'll stick with my GoldenEar BRX ($950 each, 90 db sensitivity, AMT ribbon tweeter 40hz-35khz). Apple Music lossless

  • Hi Jay - Scott DeLoache of Starke Sound here. Thanks for stopping by the room. We really enjoyed the interview with you and hosting your team. We're really excited with the Beta7's and look forward to spreading the word! FYI - the first units will be ready to ship mid-June this year.

  • 6:27 You asked him about the "wave guide" on the tweeter being responsible for the smoothness and detailed sound but all he said is that it is for aesthetics and more rigid plate. Biz confusing. Speakers look nice and the price seems fair. Would love to hear some bass tracks on them.

    @lakinnenlako6883@lakinnenlako688313 күн бұрын
    • He did mention that the waveguide has a functional purpose as well, though he was rather vague about it.

  • Hhmmm 🤔 what's the overall signature of the Beta 7? Where do the stage/lead vocals/lead instruments sit? Forward? In line with the speakers? A bit pushed back? And do they have good tactile, mid/upper bass?

  • What did Mr. Dan Wiggins design here specifically? Back in the late 90’s and earlt 2000’s he was the main man in DIY circles when it came to Bass..

    @rickg8015@rickg801513 күн бұрын
    • yes Dan is always a super important part of the R&D team. Including P series and Beta7. So if you feel Beta7 has super bass, don’t be surprised

  • Why would you place the drivers so far apart in a small bookshelf design?

    @veroman007@veroman00713 күн бұрын
    • It’s related to a lower crossover frequency point.

  • Yes it does make sense if you want to sell to the average guy. You ask the average person to spend 240 for a speaker stand that does nothing more than hold a speaker they're gonna tell you your crazy. I bet you there is less than 15 % of people out there willing to pay 10,000 and up for a speaker. Just saying

    • @@suwatt6019Comments “synergistically work well with EverSolo…” and “what I heard, what I noticed…taking good advantage of the sound profile of A8 & A6” are frankly just bullshit. Jay wasn’t making a comparison to another speaker in the same environment, he just regurgitated marketing-speak where Starke is attempting to hitch their wagon to hot selling products. That’s fine for them (Starke Audio) to do and maybe the speaker was developed with the ES products as a source…great, I don’t doubt they sound great together either. But you can’t sit next to the company guy and say something that sounds objective when it obviously isn’t. The comments don’t even work subjectively, there’s no comparison and no explanation of why he believes it to be the case. I didn’t follow up, I went back and watched Jay’s video about not wanting to be a reviewer and instead wanting to chronicle his audio journey. I don’t want to hold his feet to the fire over something he doesn’t aspire to. But IMO he needed to (and did) find a way to keep the marketing talk out of his mouth. After watching the later posted videos (all excellent) where that happens all was good for me.

  • I wonder when they will make 4 outputs again, to have better surround sound, it started with cheap junk with 2 speakers but it just gets too crazy, something that deflects on walls is not simple surround sound, and the prices are certainly ridiculous with some brands, some wood / cardboard and rubber copper wire and separation filters for a digital sound and even more money to convert this to analogue, dudes its just sound
