First off, one person could point out that a balance issue is actually something that makes sense in lore. Because you are going up against enemies that are trying to kill you, and people trying to kill you don't normally want to give you a chance at survival - and will therefore do what it takes to kill you. The Germans were not thinking about how to balance out their mustard gas weapons, and they sure weren't trying to balance the wonder waffa. But that cutscene for the gold fiend, was because in the normal game you typically first encounter a flying fiend in that or a regular scene in that cutscene. But that depends on whether it's path of the acolyte or path of the warrior, and they still left the cutscene in - so they went and showed a higher level fiend. Basic, winged, and gold.

As a player who has achieved beating Master Ninja in all 3. “Ninja Gaiden isn’t meant to be played. It’s meant to be beaten” is the best way to describe NG.
Ninja Gaiden II’s enemies took the phrase “death before dishonor” to the extreme.
I don't know why, but I adore the Protagonist Archetype that Ryu has. The "Autist Who Doesn't Know What Sex Means" Protag

Part 1: Excited to talk about this amazing game, here’s some background. Part 2: JESUS CHRIST SO MANY ENEMIES WTF WHY WOULD ANYONE MAKE A GAME LIKE THIS AND WHO WOULD HATE THEMSELVES ENOUGH TO PLAY IT?? Part 3: 10/10 game’s a masterpiece.
So I beat Sigma 2 about 7 times back on PS3. And the Vita version once where it's basically always running in half speed. This game can be absolutely infuriating but when all goes well, there's really nothing like it. It's a masterpiece.

Dude! The fact you beat NG2 on mentor without spamming the dual swords 360Y i-frames, the lunars overpowered 360Y UT, the talons flying swallow izuna drop, and the tonfas UT, is very impressive! It's even more impressive that you used the flails as much as you did. Mad respect! You are a true gamer.
No he sucks lmao. No use of counterattacks, limited usage of OT for i-frames, no using Wind Path and Wind Run to crowd control, no shuriken cancels etc. He should have beat the game on Normal first, practiced some moves and techniques and then tried to tackle Mentor. He just suffered for no reason.

Wow. This is an impressive in-depth vid. Glad to see you enjoyed NG and NG2 despite not knowing about some of the advanced mechanics like Guard Buffering and Shuriken Canceling since they help smooth out the difficulty and make the off-screen projectile spam less annoying.

I recently bought Master Collection to replay ng2 after like 10 years and finally having a chance to play the first one and 3RE (unfortunately never had an xbox so i never experienced the vanilla 1&2) and just discovered this channel...Man i cant explain how good your videos are. You literally put your soul in these 8 hours long series, so rare to see a player talking with such passion about these action games, that are often so underestimated (besides games like GoW but we all know that is REALLY different stuff). Thak you so much to remember me why, despite all the nonsense and enormous issues, i 've been loving ng2 like a sibling since i was 11. Cant wait for the 3rd masterpiece of a video!
you should emulate them, it's more than worth it to experience the originals and xbox emulation is pretty good these days. it's a shame to see anybody settle for playing a remake - the original is, by definition, always the definitive version.
@@Just.Kidding eh I tried to emulate Ng 2 and ended up getting a super bad Trojan haha I'm not good with these things sadly. I couldn't find the iso for that game, only for Ng 1 but I heard it's not so different from the sigma, unlike ng2 and sigma 2
You should give Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Black a try, it's a mod on Nexus that reverts most of the changes back to vanilla 2. Although I would wait a month or so, he's (Fiendbusa) releasing an updated version of the mod that doesn't require Cheat Engine to install. While you're at it, get the NM mod that restores most of the gore back to Sigma 2

@@richardrice3321 I do not, unfortunately. The way I play vanilla is through backward compatibility on Xbox Series S/X Your best option is probably Xenia. I would look up installation guides, like UrCasualGamer and such.

OG NG:2 was the first and one of two games in my life that INJECTED words and testosterone into my mind. *Death Cyclone, Murder Tornado* and the fact that Sigma 2 toned that down makes my inner madman vomit

I twisted the hell out of my ankle with the moon shoes I begged my mom to get me.
First off: your videos are *Master Ninja* status approved. Amazing stuff. My first NG game was Sigma on PS3. Managed to do everything 100% (this was before trophies can into existence). Now where things got crazy was Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. I got it on release and was adamant to get the platinum. There was 1 thing that was stopping myself and others - the co-op missions. You’d see the same names playing all the time to try and get this. About 10 of us (USA, Japan and me from the UK) were playing it non stop but it was beyond brutal. It took approximately 2 months and 2 weeks to get the platinum and I was only 23rd in the world to get it. It’s arguably one of the most dedicated and harsh experiences I’ve had in gaming but sharing it with others who shared the sentiment even with a language barrier with players from Japan. The fact that games like this don’t exist anymore (bar DMC5) is a shame. Majority of gamers don’t like these harder games.

Ninja Gaiden II was hands down my favorite game for ages. SOoooooo good.
This is my all time favorite game in the series. But it baffles me to see the gaps where Ryu can use his athletic abilities or even his ability to shift into a spirit bird and fly away. I'm really hoping in Ninja Gaiden 4. we get to see waaay more abilities he uses in his lore. I would pay money to see that 👌🏾

I was lmao at 1:04:20 That test of Valor was literally a nightmare and I was screaming at my TV screen when I finally beat that god damn challenge. For some reason Team Ninja put one of the hardest challenges at the beginning of the game when it's unlikely to have a maxed out weapon. So especially your fighting near 100 ninjas with limited ninpo, freaking insanity.
