Dear Christians

"Dear Christians" is a poem/thank you letter based around the morals and standards in which I believe all believers should live by. Principles like loving people exactly where they are at (Mark 12:31, Matthew 5: 43-48), withholding judgement while embracing accountability (Matthew 7: 1-5, Proverbs 27: 17), to have grace and forgive others (Matthew 18: 21-22, Romans 3: 20-24), and most importantly following in the steps of Christ (1 Peter 2: 21).
This video is credited to Cleve Brown and Titus Franklin Jr. who did the film work. I edited all of the footage. Thank you to the beautiful city of Santa Cruz, California and the DOPE workers at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk who let us on site early. The album this is on is entitled #InMyThoughts and is available on iTunes at the link below.

  • "Understand that being saved don't make them perfect, but being human mad them perfect enough to die for".... This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your gift, words like these have power to communicate what many of us either want to say but can't, and need to hear, but won't always listen to.

  • I really love what you are able to convey thru words. Love does seem to be departing as we see more darkness coming. I would the remind Christians because we love we fight for what's right in the face of adversity. To be the church and a true Christian we must be willing to fight to protect freedom by which the church operated freely in. We must have watchmen who in discipline selfless love warns of danger so we protect the gates from enemy attack. For the true Christian love is seen in many forms. Some not Pleassnt and easy to do but must be done to protect and also the country she has flourished in. Love is not fearful or unbelieving..it's bold and loves truth.

God has set your family in a great position to be all you want your family to be. I keep looking on google and KZhead for more of your spoken word. I hope I can hear more. #winnerforGod

  • It is stunning how much humanity, compassion, and love for our fellow man has been driven out of us. When we are reminded of what we are supposed to be it feels like a long draw of ice-cold water over a parched throat. All at once, refreshed and grateful. You don't have the ears of all that should hear you, but keep ascending. The world is desperate for these words.

  • BRANDON:: Omgoodness! I was praying you would win brother!!! When the season started & you had entered the contest, it was the year(decade) of PEY on Hebrew calendar. Pey is symbolized by the mouth. With all the trash talk & mouth covering this year, 2020, YOU BRANDON, YOU used your gift of words & won a million!!! Praise The Lord! I've been waiting for a strong believer to SPEAK the name of Jesus publically & proclaim His Glory. YOU DESERVE IT FOR STANDING TRUE TO YOUR FAITH....& GIFTS. SO Ecstatic for you & your young family!!!!!!!!

  • You're the best gift I got this year. Found your poem on FB while watching AGT! So happy to be your sister in Christ. I was watching and wondering why you didnt get 100,000,000 views cos you deserve even more than that. I however realized that the message you carry and your love for Christ might not be as popular as all the secular messages out there! But you know what, your treasures are being laid where moth and rust will not destroy. Of what use are wordly goods when you're laying treasure up in heaven! Keep doing what youre doing. I love poetry now because of you

When I listen to your poetry/spoken word, I am reminded of what poetry is supposed to FEEL like. • By Travis of Bickley A Filtering Light A light so bright; a filtering one... that shines on you, but soon is gone. Come back, come back, Oh filtering light. Its your love I lack That gives me flight! I would soar so far into your realm, asking for this scar of mine to heal. I cannot look you in the eye to ask you for your healing light. It does seem fit... It doesn't seem right. If you could just shine your weakest beam upon my soul so wounded, it would seem that then, I could bare my nakedness to you and into your care. Thank you, God for your filtering Light... and a filtering light it must be. Lest we go blind looking upon your face Lord and all your glory.

But they are dark and deeply troubling to the reader, I am sure. I appreciate your strength and bravery in our exchanges. It must be wrenching at times...It is for me in just the writing. I feel it all as I write it. The words comes from a place or places either real or imagined. Which in the end, is one and the same, is it not?

(verse from a poem by Robinson Jeffers, ADVICE TO PILGRIMS)..... i think he was saying something else than what you're saying, but......... it's SO easy for a Black HOMELESS person to suddenly one day wander off out of 'Oak-Town' on foot into 100,000 acres of PUBLIC lands in the East Bay hills, around sunset! it's a long HIKE, but worth the weekend alone with a 2-liter bottle of water and some old bagels!..... wow! to just stand there ALONE among the shadowy trees at night! (MILES DAVIS used to escape all the awful drugs & guns in Harlem to his father's 80-acre farm in Indiana!.....) ..........BLACK CHURCH vans should offer a service of hauling backpacks, food, and water for these MUCH NEEDED weekend vacations! if you can HIKE into the forest, then you've EARNED the extra help from these churches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....
